ABIOTIC and Metal Blade alumni INTO THE MOAT confirmed for 1981 Clothing’s Bringin’ It Back for the Kids Fest

- August 14th, 2012 –

1981 Clothing has announced the follow-up to last year’s first ever Bringin’ It Back For The Kids Fest, brought together to celebrate all aspects of hardcore with an extra focus on overall good times and fun for all who attend, will feature roughly 30 bands as well as various games and contests, and is scheduled to take place on October 12th and 13th at Rocketown in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Catch one of Metal Blade Records’ latest signings, the technical death metal band ABIOTIC and Metal Blade alumni INTO THE MOAT who will reunite to play the fest.

Says festival curator Cliff Wiener, “We’re back with more of that fun atmosphere and positive attitude. This year we’re going to have hardcore karaoke, break dance contests, break dancing in the pit, and our typical dodge ball tournament plus a few surprises. We also have more reunions planned that we can’t talk about just yet (you know, other than the one we already announced), but let’s just say if you’re into Miami hardcore circa the 90s, you need to be here.”

Both weekend and individual day passes for the event can be purchased at the following locations:

ABIOTIC stormed onto the underground metal scene with the release of their A Universal Plague EP in September of 2011. Since then, through word-of-mouth on-line and steady gigging in the South East, ABIOTIC‘s Vermosapien video was released in January of 2012 and was viewed over 40,000 times within the first month of its release. The band has proven that they have the wherewithal to stand alongside the best and brightest in the technical death metal genre worldwide. Fans of Obscura, Veil of Maya, and Cannibal Corpse will immediately identify with their finely-honed technical attack.
