Leaning heavily on the decadence and brilliance of 70′s rock icons like Cheap Trick, The New York Dolls, and KISS, and in the same vein as the new school era of rock like Brides of Destruction, The Darkness, Velvet Revolver, and The Vines; If It Ain’t Broke, Break It! Is a high octane, stripped down recording that pays homage to the power of ROCK!

Starwood was created to bring a new sense of Rock and Roll to a dying Hollywood scene that was once a central point for rock and metal. Starwood does not focus on reliving the past but instead pushes forward with an intoxicating and outright electrifying blend of Rock and Roll, Punk, and good old-fashioned Metal, creating memorable songs that will keep your head banging and your metal horns in the air.

Starwood‘s live set is full of energy and life involving the audience with every power cord and every “shout it out loud” chorus. The bands stage presence can best be described as exhilarating and brings to mind some of the old greats that used to play the strip like Gun’s and Roses and Motley Crüe, who don’t just play on the stage, they own it! It’s all about the excess that makes the genre fun!

Starwood recorded at Zanzibar studios in North Hollywood. The band finished recording and mastering in April 2004 and the end product is a rock and roll album that is sure to explode on the scene.

If It Ain’t Broke, Break It! is Starwood‘s debut release out on Metal Blade Records.
