BARN BURNER returns to Mountain City Studios to record new album
Montreal, QC natives, Barn Burner, are getting ready to head to the studio to record their follow up to Bangers, their criticially acclaimed Metal Blade Records debut. The band has been touring and working on new tunes for upwards of two years now, and are hungry to lay down the new tracks.
Vocalist/guitarist Kevin Keegan has offered up the following update: "We have been itching to get back into the studio and record what we have been working on for 2 years now. The new tunes are fiercer but still catchy enough to show to your dad. Excited to work with Adrian Popovich at Mountain City again and drink all of his shitty coffee. Basically, this new record will just give us more excuses to drink beer and play shows."
Have no doubts Barn Burner will do just that – drink beer and play shows! Keep an eye out for tour dates later this year. Get a glimpse of what the band is like live in their video for Half Past Haggard HERE. The band has one show coming up on January 27th at Off The Hook, located on 1021 St. Catherine W in Montreal. The show is at 8pm – entrance is FREE and beer is FREE!
Here's what critics (and comedian Brian Posehn) had to say about their previous album, Bangers:
"Anyone listening to Barn Burner? I hear elements of Fu Manchu, C.O.C., Maiden and Thin Lizzy. Great hard rock with big hooks." comedian and actor, Brian Posehn
"the band is electrifying, and whether you are in the mood to headbang or not, they inject something into your bloodstream that renders you incapable of resisting the overpowering urge." Outburn Magazine
"This music is all about the swagger, and the foursome carries themselves like the 1976-77 Habs: they will own you, plain and simple, no matter how hung over they are from the night before." Decibel Magazine
"Up tempo stoner rock like a cross between The Atomic Bitchwax, Fu Manchu and The Fucking Champs - excellent musicianship" Terrorizer Magazine
"huge groovy riffs that would make Phil Lynott proud." CraveOnline.com
