FOR
IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Metal Blade Records is pleased to announce the signing of SHAI HULUD!
Yes the rumors are true… Shai Hulud is back together and has recently signed a deal with Metal Blade Records and are about to hit the road for a string of dates in Europe with Parkway Drive and Remembering Never . Shortly after Shai Hulud returns to the states they will head out with Dead To Fall, Twelve Tribes, and label mates Phoenix Mourning for the Call No Man Happy Who Is Not Dead Tour sponsored by
PureVolume, LambGoat & Metal Maniacs. Once the band is done touring they will spend the winter months writing material for their Metal Blade debut which will be out in the Spring/Summer 2007. More information will be made available as it comes in including tour updates from the guys, updates on the writing process, what studio and producer they plan on going with and studio reports once they start recording.
“Having been intensely fanatic about the majority of their bands (yes, even The Goo Goo Dolls, but more so Cryptic Slaughter) for upwards of 20 years, we are honored to be welcomed to their family. Like I told the label, Metal Blade may very well be more responsible for raising me than my mother. Sorry Mom, but you must admit I spent quite a lot of time with Slayer and Voivod in those formative years...

We plan on spending this coming winter writing for our Metal Blade debut. This summer, in case those interested aren't aware, we are touring Europe with our pals in Remembering Never and Parkway Drive. We follow that up with two 3 week jaunts in The States with yet more pals of ours; the first 3 weeks we'll be out with Dead To Fall and Phoenix Mourning. The second 3 weeks 100 Demons picks up where Dead To Fall leaves off, and Iowa 's premier bodybuilders Ignite The Will join us for select dates. Twelve Tribes and One Dead Three Wounded will be rocking the tour all 6 weeks. All in all that's not such a bad way to spend some time. We're more than happy to worsen our hearing with such quality noise. We're definitely too old. Turn it down!” Matt Fox Shai Hulud
“All of us here at Metal Blade are absolutely thrilled to be working with a band that is as influential as Shai Hulud and can’t wait to get started working their MB debut. We definitely expect to see great things from Matt Fox and Co. and will make sure we do everything in our power to help them along the way. 2007 is going to be one hell of a year for Metal Blade and I’m grateful that Shai Hulud will be a part of that.” Metal Blade
“I remember seeing Shai Hulud at Furnace Fest 2002 and they were the best band there! They've influenced so many of the bands that are up and coming right now, including As I Lay Dying. When Matt first sent me the new demos, I was honored to give my recommendation to Metal Blade and I’m happy to see they are now part of the MB family.” Tim Lambesis As I Lay Dying
“Shai Hulud were one of the pioneers of melodic hardcore. When I say melodic, I mean crushing yet melodic music, with emotionally driven heavy vocals that will tear your soul open. Without these guys metal/hardcore would not sound the way it does today. They were and still are a musical influence for me.” Trevor Phipps Unearth

Tim Lambesis of As I Lay Dying starts his own imprint label and signs first band, A LOVE ENDS SUICIDE!

As I Lay Dying frontman and avid metalhead Tim Lambesis recently partnered up with Metal Blade Records to start his own imprint label, High Impact Recordings, and is very pleased to announce his inaugural signing; A LOVE ENDS SUICIDE out of West Covina, California. A LOVE ENDS SUICIDE (ALES) became a quickly growing act as a progressive/metal band. The group released copies of their self produced 04' EP throughout most of the United States , which helped build an admirable reputation in today's music scene. Shortly after beginning their full-time journey on the road, the guys of ALES experienced what it was going to take to successfully bring their music the attention of as much of the world as possible. The band consists of five members, four of which happen to be brothers. John Cairoli (vocals) has developed an intense/energy-filled stage performance, standing out among many other acts in the scene. Emir Abdo (Bass, clean vocals) with intense stage presence on Bass guitar also compliments the intensity of the music with melodic vocal lines. Oscar Cairoli (guitar) helps create a sound like no other with his riveting guitar lines and musical influences combined. Andres Abdo (drums), the youngest of the pack, brings forth a great deal of strength, power, technique, and originality to the music. Matt Garcia (guitar) adds a big sound to the group with neck-breaking riffs and heart-pounding energy. Be sure to look for A LOVE ENDS SUICIDE in a town near you, as they will continue to tour throughout the world in support of their debut full length In The Disaster which hits stores everywhere on September 5th 2006 .
Here’s what Tim has to say about the birth of High Impact Recordings and his first signing, A LOVE ENDS SUICIDE:
“After being on tour for the past five years, I decided I should start a record label as I've met so many amazing musicians and I know this is the right way to give exposure to those bands I believe in. I've been given an amazing opportunity to work with Metal Blade on the release of some upcoming records and I'll now be teaming up with the same people that have put their hearts behind As I Lay Dying and I'm very honored to be doing so.
A Love Ends Suicide is a band that I've wanted to work with for a while and will now be the first band released through Metal Blade/High Impact. Please check out two tracks from their upcoming record as well as the brand new High Impact website. Mark your calendars for September 5th!”

A LOVE ENDS SUICIDE comments:
"Its surreal for all of us to be a part of such a label that has innovated and established many of the biggest national acts that we have been greatly influenced by. It has been such a great experience working side by side with Tim Lambesis and the rest of the Metal Blade staff. The release of our new album titled IN THE DISASTER on Metal Blade Records is by far the greatest accomplishment for the group, and will definitely allow us to really bring our music to life on the road."

HOT TOPIC PRESENTS UNEARTH’S “SANCTITY OF BROTHERS” FALL HEADLINE TOUR!!!
UNEARTH raised the bar all summer long performing as non rotating main support on Ozzfest's infamous Second Stage.
UNEARTH just released their highly anticipated follow up to 2004’s The Oncoming Storm titled III: In The Eyes Of Fire (Metal Blade 8/8/06)
"A stunning accomplishment, one that repeatedly pushes the boundaries of heaviness; yet contains enough sonic and lyrical layers to give the songs depth and staying power. If this is Unearth at their angriest and darkest lets hope they don’t cheer up anytime soon." Revolver Magazine September 2006
Now, UNEARTH add as main support, Bleeding Through; one of the hottest performing bands who shared the same stage with them on Ozzfest are now on UNEARTH’s upcoming "Sanctity of Brothers” tour for the continuation of the back to back one two punch.
Also on the bill are this years "Sounds Of The Underground Tour" heavy hitters Terror and Through the Eyes of the Dead. Also throwing down on the “S O B” tour are the undergrounds newest metal on the rise Animosity as opener.
Drummer Mike Justian claims, "the upcoming ‘Sanctity Of Brothers’ tour is like a seven layer burrito its got all the right ingredients and when you put them together it makes for a very delectable treat.”
In addition to Hot Topic, Unearth would also like to thank the following sponsors for their support on this tour: Music Choice, Pure Volume, Ibanez Guitars, Tama Drums, Hails and Horns Magazine and Pitchfork Clothing.

GOD DETHRONED – new album ready!
God Dethroned has revealed the cover artwork for their new album The Toxic Touch due out in the US in Fall 2006. The Dutch Deathsters are also gearing up for another Blitzkrieg European tour with Vader & Severe Torture.
The Toxic Touch is the band's 6th album for Metal Blade Records and was recorded at Soundlodge Studios in Germany with Producer Joerg Uken. Mastering was handled at Wisseloord Studios in Holland .
The track listing is as follows:
01. Faithless
02. Hating Life
03. 2014
04. Falling Down
05. On Wings of Pestilence
06. The Day You Died
07. Away From Emptiness
08. Macabre World
09. Typhoid Mary
10. Fail to Exist
The Japanese edition will have a bonus track called Bleeding Mirrors.
“The Toxic Touch is the product of two years of extensive and intense touring all over the world. The new line-up has proved to be superior to all the previous ones. You could see it as a learning process. While everybody knows us as a band with a fine mix between the brutal and the melodic parts, people appreciate us mostly for our groove and melody, especially live. The new album reflects that more than ever before. The number of blast-beats on this album has been decreased to a minimum. Why? Simply because in a live situation it’s probably the most boring part. In the new situation the blast-beat adds something special, the explosion, whereas in the past it was just a common part of our style and therefore ‘nothing special’, comments GOD DETHRONED main man Henri Sattler, and adds : “The Toxic Touch has become an album with new and broader influences, techniques and song writing, but sounds exactly the way God Dethroned should sound in 2006… This time with our best and heaviest production to date.”
