Quebec City’s AETERNAM finally released their hotly anticipated debut album ‘Disciples Of The Unseen’ via Metal Blade Records!

‘Disciples Of The Unseen’ is a 10 track foray into an atmospheric, aggressive, melodic and Egyptian-tinged death metal. The album was produced by mastermind JeF Fortin (Neuraxis, The Last Felony) and is for fans of Nile, Melechesh, Behemoth and even earlier Trivium – any metal head will definitely find something to sink their teeth into here.

On top of the hook-laden guitar harmonies and solos are vocalist/guitarist Achraf Loudiy’s occasional clean vocal melodies; they provide a tasteful palate cleanser and provide an alternative for those who tire quickly from traditional death metal growls.

Fort Collins, CO’s ALLEGAEON are currently recording their Metal Blade debut album, Fragments Of Form And Functions, with Dave Otero (Cephalic Carnage, Martriden, Incinerate) at Flatline Audio in Denver. The band will be posting updates to their MySpace throughout the recording process with videos to follow, so keep an eye out for more to come!

Vocalist Ezra Haynes offers the following update: “Thought it was about time to give you guys a nice ‘lil update with what’s been going on here in the studio. Right now we´re in the process of recording our first/debut full length Fragments of Form and Function which is to be released on Metal Blade Records this summer.
We´re recording once again with madman Dave Otero at Flatline Audio here in Colorado. We´ve been in the studio for about two weeks now and things are really starting to come together. We tracked the majority of drums throughout the first week and started knocking out rhythm guitars in the second week; this third week is going to be a mash up of guitars, vocals and bass. We have been filming a bunch as well so be sure to stay tuned for some awesome video updates that will be posted in the near future.

ANTERIOR have announced their new drummer is James Cook. After debuting for them in December 2009 he joins the band busy writing their long awaited follow up to 2007’s This Age Of Silence, which they are looking to record soon.

After a long time searching we have finally found a new drummer. If any of you saw us play in December the fine gentlemen behind the kit will now be joining the band full time. We would like to welcome James Cook into the band and are very excited to see what he adds to the fold. He did a great job on our December tour with only a few rehearsals before hand. He is a great guy and an exceptional musician.
On this note we are still writing for the album and cannot wait to see what James can add to the new material. We will be going into the studio in a few months time to record our second album to be released later this year on Metal Blade records.

This winter, LAZARUS A.D. once again teamed up with Vision 4 Films to shoot their next video. Absolute Power will premiere sometime before their upcoming tour with Kreator, Voivod, Nachtmystium and Evile. The video is a bit different than their last two in that it has a bit of a storyline. The video features a brutal underground streetfight; if you’re a fan of metal and/or the movieKickboxer, you’ll dig this video!

Dan Gapen: “We just shot the new video for our next single “Absolute Power” I would say it was fun but to be honest it was cold, windy and rainy the day of the shoot and I froze my ass off. THE RED CHORD will be performing with original drummer, Michael Justian at all upcoming shows. Justian has not publicly performed with the group since the Maryland Deathfest of 2004, and replaces recently departed drummer, Brad Fickeisen. Justian left THE RED CHORD at the end of 2003, joined Unearth in 2004 and also spent time filling in for Trap Them, Earth Crisis, Shai Hulud and 108 in the interim.

Says guitarist, Mike McKenzie, “It’s great to be jamming with Mike again. His approach to drumming is truly unique and amazing. Even though it has been about 6 years since he has played this stuff, his playing is stronger than ever. We’ve rehearsed almost every day for the last month and we can’t wait to do this live again.”

SKYFORGER have been tempering their music in the smithy of the Thundergod since 1995. For the last decade, the band has been fighting under the flag of Latvian Pagan Metal; an extreme blend of traditional Baltic Folk music and various Metal influences ranging from Norwegian inspired Black Metal through to 80s-rooted Heavy Metal. The band’s unique combination of ancient and modern influence has given them a wide appeal throughout both the Metal and Folk scenes, and has brought great variety to their song writing over the course of the five SKYFORGER albums.

Through the years SKYFORGER has been busy on stages all over Europe. Behind the belt of SKYFORGER are already four European tours, many mini-tours and festival appearances and SKYFORGER is well known for their non-compromising live performances.
