VOMITORY finish recordings for upcoming new album 'Opus Mortis VIII'!
Mighty Swedish death metallers VOMITORY have finished the recordings for their anticipated eighth studio album entitled Opus Mortis VIII.
Comments the band: "On Sunday, December 19th, we completed the work on the eighth Vomitory album that we have entitled OPUS MORTIS VIII!
It's our eighth musical work of death, so we think it's a very fitting title and we have some nice things going on artwork-wise for this one. Producer and studio owner Rikard Löfgren has done a tremendous job to get the best sounding Vomitory album to date - no competition! We are so fucking happy with the result. The production is absolutely top-notch and the material offers diversity and dynamics that you haven't quite heard from Vomitory before. You will get 14 songs altogether and roughly 54 minutes playing time."

VOMITORY in the studio recording new album!
Swedish Death Metal legends VOMITORY have entered the Leon Music Studios outside Karlstad, Sweden, to record their eighth longplayer!
They record the album again with Rikard Löfgren who already co-produced the bands previous two albums.

[25/03/09] Swedish Death Metal monsters VOMITORY have finished the work on their much anticipated new album 'Carnage Euphoria'!
Here's a bunch of quotes from drummer Tobias Gustafsson:
"'Carnage Euphoria' was a bit harder album to record than our predecessor, but damn it was worth it! We are ridiculously happy with how the album turned out in the end! Engineer/producer Rikard Löfgren of Leon Music Studios did once again a killer job to get what we wanted for this album, and then some. Compared to our previous albums, 'Carnage Euphoria' is a lot wider, warmer and more natural sounding-wise. But still, 'Carnage Euphoria' runs you over like a steam-roller just as expected. The true VOMITORY elements are all in there, but there are also some more mid-paced groovy stuff that adds diversity to this album like never before. Even some more melodic hooks that won't go unnoticed. Songs like 'The Ravenous Dead' and 'Great Deceiver' add fresh slices of flesh to the Vomitory slab, while 'Rage Of Honour' and 'Possessed' are rotting chunks of the relentless death metal Vomitory is known for."
2009 marks the 20th Anniversary for VOMITORY and as a part of celebrating this, a limited first edition of 'Carnage Euphoria' will be available with a 90-minute bonus DVD. The DVD is entitled 'Dead & Drunk for 20 Years' and contains clips from the very first VOMITORY show in 1990 to clips from live shows in 2008 with the band's present line-up. In between that, you will find one previously unreleased song, 'Putrefaction', performed live in 1990, live clips from different shows during the 90s with different line-ups and drunk moments on the road and in the studio.
"It's all material from our own private archives, so this exclusive DVD has a certain 'Cliff 'em All'-vibe to it - for good and for bad. I hope you will enjoy it. We certainly do!"
