Live footage of HATE ETERNAL at BB King’s now available on MetalKult.com
Head over to MetalKult.com to check out three live songs from Hate Eternal’s set during the bands stop at BB King’s in NYC on April 28th 2008. See vocalist/guitarist Erik Rutan lead his four-piece through “Bringer of Storms” from Fury and Flames, as well as “The Obscure Terror” from 2002’s King of All Kings and “Behold Judas” from 2005’s I, Monarch.
Check them out HERE
Hate Eternal’s Metal Blade debut Fury and Flames came out February 19th and has been met with great praise. Here’s a taste of what critics have been saying so far about what is truly one of 2008’s greatest death metal releases.
“Intelligent, inventive and utterly unstoppable death metal machine” - 8/10 Metal Hammer
“Brutal, technical and heart-searingly relentless, just when you thought death metal had nothing new to offer, Hate Eternal return to prove you wrong. Fury and Flames owns you in 2008.” - Metal Maniacs
“I am happy to report that Hate Eternal's latest offering, Fury and Flames, is by and large their most blistering release to date; a savage, jarring, and infinitely deep slab of death metal goodness.” - 9/10 lambgoat.com
“Every now and then a record comes along that stops you in your tracks and forces you to admit, “Fuck, that’s heavy!” and Fury and Flames is one of those records.” - Outburn
“If "I, Monarch" - Hate Eternal's last effort for Earache Records - was a massive slab of death metal, then "Fury and Flames" is a nine-story parking structure collapsing from the top down, each massive layer of concrete and iron slamming into the one beneath it, grinding and sliding to the earth in a maelstrom of dust and debris.” - Deadtide.com

Exclusive live footage of SOILENT GREEN’s NYC performance up on Guitar World’s MtealKult.com!
Head over to Guitar World’s new site for all things heavy, MetalKult.com, to view exclusive live footage shot at the band’s April 28th stop in NYC at BB King’s. In the clips below, see the four-piece—vocalist Ben Falgoust, guitarist Brian Patton, drummer Tommy Buckley and bassist Scott Crochet—tear through “Slapfuck” from 1995’s Pussysoul, as well as “Mental Acupuncture,” “Blessed In the Arms of Servitude” and “In the Same Breath” from Inevitable Collapse in the Presence of Conviction.
Check it out HERE
Inevitable Collapse in the Presence of Conviction just came out on April 15th and has already been met with high praise from press and fans alike.
“A longtime New Orleans delicacy, the latest plateful of Soilent Green’s sludgy grind is just as toxic to the taste buds as anything the band’s released over a decade of ups and downs, coming together to cook up another batch of crusty comfort food on Inevitable Collapse in the Presence of Conviction.” – Decibel
“Inevitable Collapse in the Presence of Conviction shows the band at their best.” Blistering.com
“Soilent Green in 2008 is the sound of a tectonic shift. Massive as ever and still one of the most important bands in the scene… In a word: Mandatory.” TartareanDesire.com
“{Soilent Green} are one of the Purest American metal bands around today.” The Aquarian
As amazing as Soilent is on record, they are truly a live band and must be witnessed in person to fully appreciate their beautifully devastating tunes. Make sure to catch the band live when they roll through the states on one of their upcoming tours.

CATTLE DECAPITATION to debut new songs in June to live audiences!
After 6 months of hibernating constructing new songs for their upcoming album, due late in the year via Metal Blade Records, CATTLE DECAPITATION will schedule a weeks worth of dates to debut the new material in front of a live audience. These new songs will feature the most recent addition and talent of drummer David McGraw to the song writing process.
Vocalist Travis Ryan commented on the new material:
“The guys have been writing like crazy, we're already 4 songs in! I've got lyrics to a couple and we'll be playing ‘em at the upcoming shows! All I can say is this new stuff is completely insane. We have reached a new level of intensity that in my opinion completely annihilates anything we've ever done. That goes for the first 2 Cattle records as well! Just too damn intense for words... you gotta come check it out for yourself!”

Head over to www.newburycomics.com to pre-order Shai Hulud’s upcoming release Misanthropy Pure and receive an autographed CD booklet, while supplies last. Go HERE for details. With Misanthropy Pure, the band’s first offering in over 5 years, Shai Hulud kicks it old school, according to Fox. “It’s faster, slower, more metal, less metal, more rock, more progressive, and less progressive than anything we’ve ever done. There’s not a million change ups on power chords. It’s a lot heavier and punchier. It doesn’t adhere to any current trends and is 100% Southern rock-free. There’s not one conventional breakdown, yet it still maintains the ferocity,” Fox admits.

We would like to thank Metal Blade President: Michael Faley, the entire staff of Metal Blade Records, Anthony "Yogi" Allgood, our Family's, and all of our fans for getting us to where we are now. GOREROTTED change band name to THE ROTTED!
The UK's GOREROTTED have decided to take a big step and change their name to THE ROTTED! After working so hard on their new album, 'Get Dead Or Die Trying', the guys felt that due to the huge progression they've made from previous releases musically and lyrically, and after a few line-up changes, that this was the only right thing to do.
Says frontman Ben McCrow: "The motives behind what we were doing with Gorerotted have changed over the years, and as a mark of respect for what we achieved, for previous band members and for fans, we didn't feel it was right to continue under our previous monicker. This album is gonna blow people away, I couldn't even classify it for you if I tried, all I can say is its heavy as fuck, catchy as hell and a piece of work we're all incredibly proud of. People have been affectionately referring to us as THE ROTTED for some time now, so it seemed like a decent change to us."
THE ROTTED has launched a new myspace site which can be found HERE. Add them to your friends list and make sure to spread the word. Be the first to learn about news, exclusive tracks from the new album, tour dates and much more! In addition to the new myspace - the band is keeping www.myspace.com/gorerottedmetal as a 'history' of Gorerotted page, chronicling the 10+ years of the band’s history.
THE ROTTED’s new album, ‘Get Dead Or Die Trying’, is due for release on July 8th!
THE ROTTED is:
Ben McCrow: Vocals
Tim Carley: Guitar
Gian Pyres: Guitar
Wilson: Bass
