WHITECHAPEL
"This Is Exile"
RELEASED: 07.08.2008
Whitechapel post exclusive photos and stories to fan club; on tour with Trivium now!
Knoxville, TN’s Whitechapel are currently crushing audiences across North America on their tour with Dirge Within, Chimaira and Trivium. These guys have several years of regular touring under their belts and have accumulated a wealth of crazy tour stories and photos. Below is the intro to one such story as told by guitarist Ben Savage.

“Oh let us take in the Las Vegas aura for a minute…an island of light in an ocean of desert, entertainment for miles on end, space needles, and black jack tables would of course be the optimistic outlook on this renowned city. On the other hand, you have your broken dreams, sinful seductions, greedy temptations, and so much sexual tension you can cut it with a knife. I guess Vegas is similar to the likes of L.A. but with more of the "glam" factor.

I know it ain't proper to not abide by the age old saying "Whatever happens in Vegas, stays" but then again, it’s not like we rented out a room at the MGM Grand with a bounced check and had to pay off the mob to bury a dead hooker who O.D.'d off some crushed glass diluted cocaine that she snorted off your keyboard players erect member. No! I say, if the fun is harmless then tell all! We have been to Vegas 5 times (6 if you count tonight) in our touring career. Playing everywhere from brutal DIY house shows and VFW halls to the House of Blues at the Mandalay Bay Casino, we have played from the "gutter" to the "glamour," if you will.”

For that whole story along with more stories and exclusive photos from the road, to talk about Whitechapel with other fans and to talk directly to the band via the forums and for tons of other exclusives, join the diseased here: http://www.thediseased.com/ and become part of Whitechapel’s official fan club!

Whitechapel join forces with Trivium and Chimaira for Fall tour!
Whitechapel will spend this fall bringing their energetic live show to fans across the US with metal heavy weights, Trivium, on the second leg of their headlining tour! Whitechapel kicked off the festivities on this summer’s Rockstar Energy Mayhem fest as the opening act on the Hot Topic stage alongside label mates Behemoth, Cannibal Corpse, and more. We could tell you how intense their live show is all day long, but you can judge for yourself by checking out their live video for Possession on youtube.com.

Whitechapel comments: "Mayhem is going amazing so far, we couldn't have asked for a better line up of bands to be touring with and better crowd responses. Fans are going off across the U.S. in every city and we are loving it. It's definitely the best tour we have ever done and are going to be super bummed when it's over!

When we got the offer for these dates with Trivium we were really excited. We've been hanging out with the Trivium dudes on Mayhem and have been having a blast, so naturally the good times will continue on with this upcoming tour. It's a perfect opportunity for us to deliver the same pummeling live show we gave these fans at Mayhem in a smaller more intimate club setting."
