The To Catch a Predatour sees THE ACACIA STRAIN heading out along the East Coast and in Canada with support from THE RED CHORD, TERROR, GAZA, and THE CONTORTIONIST. "To Catch a Predatour" is presented by All In Merchandise, Revolver Magazine, and MetalInjection.net. THE RED CHORD confirmed for 2010 Summer Slaughter Tour!
Boston, Mass grind metalers THE RED CHORD are confirmed for this summer's Summer Slaughter Tour featuring Decapitated, The Faceless, All Shall Perish, Veil of Maya, Cephalic Carnage, Decrepit Birth, Carnifex, Animals As Leaders, and Vital Remains. The tour kicks off in San Diego, CA on Saturday July 17 and finishes up in San Francisco, CA on Monday August 23.
Here's what bassist Greg Weeks has to say about being out on the tour; "Summer Slaughter! Looking forward to old friends, new friends, borrowed and blue friends, cookouts, dance-offs, smelly people, burgers, long van rides, karate lessons, octopus balls, seedy areas, elastic waistband jeans, laughter and enjoying myself. THE RED CHORD Announces US Shows, Explains European Tour Situation
Forced to miss its European tour with Rotten Sound and Aborted due to the effects of the recent volcano in Iceland, The Red Chord has lined up an amazing weekend’s worth of shows for fans on the East Coast.
Saturday, April 24, The Red Chord will play the main stage at the New England Metal and Hardcore Fest in Worcester, MA, alongside Cannibal Corpse, Amon Amarth, and Job For A Cowboy. This last-minute NEMHF appearance is a homecoming of sorts for The Red Chord who hail from nearby Boston and who have played the now-legendary fest five times, starting in 2003.
Sunday, April 25, The Red Chord heads to Brooklyn, NY, to headline a show at Public Assembly with Premonitions Of War and Tiger Flowers. This is an ultra rare opportunity for fans to witness The Red Chord at a tiny venue. The alliance between The Red Chord and Premonitions Of War dates back to 2003 when the two bands teamed up on a self-booked US tour (along with none other than Between The Buried And Me!). The Red Chord frontman Guy Kozowyk went on to release a Premonitions Of War CD, Glorified Dirt + The True Face of Panic, on his label, Black Market Activities.
Kozowyk offers this explanation about the European tour:
"We did everything we could to make it to this European tour with Rotten Sound and Aborted. Unfortunately, our best efforts couldn't get The Red Chord or Those Who Lie Beneath onto the continent until it was far too late. The remainder of the tour is uncertain, but if Rotten Sound and Aborted continue with the rest of it, we strongly advise and appreciate your support of the remaining shows. We will do our best to make up shows before the end of the year and we thank the bands, agents and fans for their patience and understanding during this ridiculous situation."

The Red Chord Replace Drummer; Head Out On Burgers and Bowling Tour!
The Red Chord will be performing with original drummer, Michael Justian at all upcoming shows. Justian has not publicly performed with the group since the Maryland Deathfest of 2004, and replaces recently departed drummer, Brad Fickeisen. Justian left The Red Chord at the end of 2003, joined Unearth in 2004 and also spent time filling in for Trap Them, Earth Crisis, Shai Hulud and 108 in the interim.
Says guitarist, Mike McKenzie, "It's great to be jamming with Mike again. His approach to drumming is truly unique and amazing. Even though it has been about 6 years since he has played this stuff, his playing is stronger than ever. We've rehearsed almost every day for the last month and we can't wait to do this live again."
The Red Chord wishes Brad the best of luck in his future endeavors.
The first show with the adjusted line up will be this Wednesday, February 10th at the Hideaway in Johnson City, TN before meeting up with My Children My Bride, Chelsea Grin and Those Who Lie Beneath on the Burgers and Bowling Tour.

The Red Chord have released their most unrelenting album to date in Fed Through The Teeth Machine and are taking their show back on the road this Spring with a headlining tour! Boston Massachusetts metalers THE RED CHORD have hit the Billboard Top 200 chart at #180 with the release of their new studio album, Fed Through the Teeth Machine. The Red Chord to film “Demoralizer” video on Halloween!
The Red Chord are once again teaming up with highly acclaimed video director, David Brodsky, for their new video. The Demoralizer video will be shot this weekend, on October 31st. Keep an eye out for this video to premiere in the following weeks. The band has previously worked with Dave Brodsky for the Dread Prevailed video, which can be seen on Metal Blade’s youtube channel HERE.

While the heavy music scene is flooded and littered with trendy, ‘current’ fusion bands that string together electronics and mosh and pretend to be as brutal as f*&^, The Red Chord aren’t having any of it. The music on Fed Through the Teeth Machine is like a hulking hammer that rips and tears at the fabric of all that is trend-driven. But The Red Chord aren’t making music for that purpose; they’re just good enough to flip off trends and top the bands that perpetrate them. The Massachusetts band – which has downsized to a lean ‘n mean four-piece to counteract the bad economy function as a quartet without sacrificing any of their Rottweiler-like ferocity and tenacity - continues to focus on making extreme metal, for extreme people who want something lyrically and musically outside the box and forward thinking and don’t want some assembly-line, manufactured, “of the moment” band in their lives. Put simply: If you want to have your bones reduced to dust and your brain taken out scrambled and put back in by music, then The Red Chord are up for that task with Fed Through the Teeth Machine.

THE RED CHORD releases artwork and track listing for upcoming release, ‘Fed Through the Teeth Machine’
Boston Massachusetts metalers THE RED CHORD are gearing up for the release of their fourth full length album (third for Metal Blade) titled Fed Through the Teeth Machine, due out on October 27th in the US. THE RED CHORD already has dates lined up with labelmates and interplanetary gods GWAR along with labelmates Job for a Cowboy. The nearly two and a half month trek with GWAR and Job for a Cowboy will take THE RED CHORD across the United States kicking off in Houston Texas on September 29th and finishing up in New York City on December 13th.
Here’s what guitarist Mike “Gunface” McKenzie has to say about the band’s new album Fed Through the Teeth Machine; "We spent the last year working hard on this one and we're excited for everyone to finally hear it. It's a lot faster and, in my opinion, more straight forward in a structural sense. We're really happy with the great work Jonny Fay and Zeuss did too. It's not a concept record, but there are some loose conceptual elements to it: hygienic obsession, delusional compound-dwellers and Maniac Mansion. Get ready to make fun of us on the internet!"

Undercover at Maryland Deathfest with Greg Weeks of the Red Chord
THE RED CHORD bassist Greg Weeks was in attendance at this year's Maryland Deathfest and assumed (rightfully so) that nobody at the show knew who he actually was. So he went undercover for Metal Injection to get the fans at the event to explain to him what metal is tr00ly about and comedy ensues!

The Red Chord new song & performance with SIGH keyboardist footage
Metal Injection has exclusive video footage of THE RED CHORD performing the instrumental track "It Came From Over There" during day 3 of the Maryland Deathfest for the first time ever. The band was joined by SIGH keyboardist Mirai Kawashima who also makes a guest appearance on the studio track.

The Red Chord Release Second Studio Diary on Metal Injection
The Red Chord have posted a second studio update exclusively on Metal Injection. This one focuses on drum edits. The Red Chord are currently recording with former guitarist Jonny Fay at Backyard Studios in Milford, NH with an expected release in the Fall.
