UNEARTH and THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER To Tour Australia and Japan!
UNEARTH confirms European Tour with 36 Crazyfists!
After wrapping up their headlining run with the hugely successful Atticus Metal Tour II, UNEARTH are taking their show overseas. First, they'll conquer Japan, Australia and New Zealand with label mates, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER. Once that run is over, the guys are taking what will be one of the longest flights ever to the United Kingdom for a European tour with 36 Crazyfists.
UNEARTH vocalist Trevor Phipps comments: "What better way to spend our May and June than touring Japan, Australia and New Zealand with our buds in The Black Dahlia Murder and also hitting up much of Europe and the summer festivals with our boys in 36 Crazy Fists? I don't really see a point in trying to answer that question because there isn't a better answer. If you live in any of the places I mentioned, come on out, bang your heads, hit the pit, drink some beer and do some stupid shit. This is our last go around the World until 2011, so let's make this a rager for the ages. See you soon, World!"
UNEARTH's most recent album, The March, is available everywhere now: iTunes, Amazon.com, MetalBladeStore.com. Recent MetalBlade.tv footage is available of Trevor Phips killing some time on tour playing Trials HD on Xbox Live Arcade - watch him conquer one of the levels now on MetalBlade.tv!

Here’s what vocalist and founding member Trevor Strnad had to say; “We want to thank everyone for coming together and supporting us. We put a lot of elbow grease into making this whole package the best we possibly could; it's meant as a gift to our fans. THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER’s first video from the forthcoming album ‘Deflorate’ now available exclusively through Revolver Magazine!
Los Angeles, CA – September 4, 2009 – Head over to Revolver Magazine to check out the exclusive premier of THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER’s first video from Deflorate for the track Necropolis, which was filmed by Robbie Tassaro (director of the band’s DVD Majesty). Deflorate, the follow up to the band’s 2007 release Nocturnal, will be released on September 15th 2009 (pre-orders still available HERE).
Vocalist Trevor Strnad comments; “We are excited to bring you the debut of our new video Necropolis by way of the kind folks at Revolver magazine. We filmed this one at the Garden Bowl in Detroit Michigan early in the morning…we want to thank everyone that was involved for getting drunk at 10am. Bear witness to the horror of 1,000 gutter balls! PARTY ON, WAYNE!”
THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER are gearing up to get back out on the road and will be heading out on a direct support slot with Children of Bodom (9/18 – 10/12). Once THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER finishes up their run of dates with Bodom they will hit the road for their first headline run in concurrence with the release of Deflorate. Guard your precious innocence all you like, it will do you no good—Deflorate is here.

Deflorate was produced by The Black Dahlia Murder, Mark Lewis (Deicide) and Jason Suecof (Beneath the Massacre, Job for a Cowboy) with mixing duties handled by Suecof. Deflorate is multifaceted death trip: beautiful, evil, and morbidly addicting. The Black Dahlia Murder’s fourth thrashing epic sees no punch pulled, no gravestone unturned, no soul uncorrupted. Guard your precious innocence all you like, it will do you no good—Deflorate is here.

Still riding high on waves of acclaim for their rabidly-received DVD spectacle Majesty, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER triumphantly bring you their fourth thrashing opus Deflorate. An epic expansion of the stunning pitch-black cacophony that was 2007’s Nocturnal, Deflorate boasts Black Dahlia’s brand of seamlessly-mixed Swedish influenced blackened thrash and pounding American death metal muscle, and sees one of metal’s most outstanding underground outfits at the peak of its unmitigated musical brutality. “We’re more confident than ever,” declares vocalist Trevor Strnad of Deflorate. “I think as a band we really found our footing on Nocturnal. This time, we’ve taken this beast to the next level.”

The Black Dahlia Murder has announced Deflorate as the title of their new album, which is scheduled for a September 15th release. A Selection Unnatural, the first single, will begin streaming exclusively on RevolverMag.com on Tuesday, July 7th.

I feel confident that we have outdone what we achieved with our last album... words cannot express the excitement we all feel about the new material. Now this is fucking Death Metal! The boys at Audiohammer Jason Suecof and Mark Lewis have done it again…the result is one beastly sounding album. Last but certainly not least, prepare yourselves to behold the hair raising shred of Georgia's own Ryan Durell Knight! Special thanks to Tony Koehl for the kickass job on the cover art…feast your eyes and ears on this most unholy of spectacles! The time of Defloration is upon us!
As foretold at the end of our "Majesty" DVD, the new album will come packaged with an exclusive DVD featurette, lovingly titled "Going Places". Ride along with your favorite jerks on Knight's first tour with the band, a drunken romp through our first ever shows in Sweden, Norway and Russia. Sickness!”

Los Angeles, CA – May 26, 2009 – Metal Blade Records is proud to announce that Detroit, MI’s THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER has just hit the Billboard Top Music Videos Chart at the #2 position in the US and #5 position in Canada with the band’s brand new and first ever DVD release, Majesty. Since the band’s inception, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER has had a relentless worldwide touring schedule ranging from successful appearances at European Festivals to a blistering set at Loud Park in Japan to tirelessly crisscrossing the US on Ozzfest and Sounds of the Underground, not to mention all the headlining and support slot tours the band has been a part of. This side splitting peek into the hard working band's humor laced brand of daily life will have you smelling the funk of the van from coast to coast and keep you coming back for more.
Here’s what vocalist Trevor Strnad had to say about reaching the #2 and #5 spots on the Billboard Top Music Videos Charts; “We in The Black Dahlia Murder are completely ecstatic about the reception of our first DVD release for Metal Blade Records, Majesty! I won't lie and say that I had no expectations of the release; throughout its creation I had an inkling that we may be onto something. Having the second highest charting music DVD in the states and the fifth highest in Canada is more than enough proof that I was right! Thank you to the fans…this DVD is dedicated to you and you alone. You are the reason this band stays strong and keeps on going. Our most sincere thanks to our friend and director Robbie Tassaro for his undying devotion to the project. Without him, Majesty never would have happened. Stay tuned to the BDM…big things are on the horizon!”

Vocalist Trevor Strnad comments, “The Black Dahlia Murder DVD entitled Majesty is finally finished and ready to be unleashed on the world. Diehard fans will recognize that the title has been plucked from the chorus of Nocturnal. It was filmed and edited by our good friend/drinking partner Robbie Tassaro, whom we have worked with in the past for the filming of our ‘What A Horrible Night To Have A Curse’ video. Robbie is a hilarious man in himself, and probably the only person we could trust to really capture the essence of the band. Doing a DVD was something we were very apprehensive about... doing video stuff is always a risk when you can't afford the luxuries that the MTV darlings can... I mean look at the majority of death metal videos on you tube... the comments are all people laughing how cheesy they are. For Christ’s sake, look at our video for Funeral Thirst! That’s ghetto metal fabulous. All of our videos, good and bad, will be featured on the second disc of the dvd, along with a shows worth of intense live footage, captured from various locations throughout our Summer Slaughter tour and our romp in support of Children Of Bodom. The live footage is unbelievable looking... it absolutely blew me away the first time I watched. I think he really nailed the energetic atmosphere of our concerts... it makes me want to stage dive myself. The main disc is chock full with over two hours of backstage footage and will give our fans a deserved look into the BDM machine. See your favorite thrashers drink 'til they puke, eat til they puke, smoke weed 'til they puke, etc. The Pantera DVD was our model to strive for, as it’s the only metal DVD out there that warrants repeated viewings. Now that I have seen it a few times, I have had the semi painful realization that I am an alcoholic. I'll keep you posted on that as it develops.
Calling all thrashers! Behold the Majesty!”
