SYSTEM DIVIDE To Kick Off Revolver Magazine's Hell Hath No Fury Tour!
SYSTEM DIVIDE, who feature within their ranks vocalist Miri Milman (Orphaned Land), vocalist Sven De Caluwe (Aborted, Leng Tch'd etc), guitarist Michael Wilson (Abigail Williams), bassist Andrew Lenthe and drummer Mike Heller, will return to the US later this month on the Revolver-sponsored Hell Hath No Fury Tour with In This Moment, Straight Line Stitch and Sister Sin! The tour follows the band's successful stint through North America earlier this year with Eluveitie, 3 Inches Of Blood and Holy Grail. SYSTEM DIVIDE will be touring in support of their The Conscious Sedation debut full-length released via Metal Blade last fall.
Commented Milman, who was featured in Revolver's "Hottest Chicks in Hard Rock" issue and calendar at the end of 2010: "After a great run with Eluveitie throughout North America, we're very excited to get back on the road as part of Revolver's Hell Hath No Fury tour. It was an honor to be part of the magazine's calendar and special Halloween issue and being on this tour makes the whole experience come around full cycle. We're looking forward to going back to some of the places we played on our previous tour and perhaps recognizing some of the faces as well as meeting some new people. Get ready for some ridiculous amounts of 'girl power!"
The tour will kick off on April 22 in Santa Ana, California, and run through May 15. During the tour, In This Moment's Maria Brink will be filming exclusive video blogs for Revolver and interviewing each of the other front women on the package.

"The music is extreme, diverse, original and holds a very high level. De Caluwe goes ballistic while Milman's catchy lines remind me of Deadlock front-woman Sabine Weniger…. everything seems to point in the right direction for SYSTEM DIVIDE to take the world by storm." - Aardschok (Netherlands)
"…a razor-sharp, cacophonous smattering of all things metal, effectively melding elements of extreme, death, grind and even some goth to produce a literal sonic explosion, one bursting with undeniable strength." - StarPulse.com
"Milman's vocals, especially in 'Stagnant Progression' and 'The Apex Doctrine', are used perfectly to compliment the complex array of sounds System Divide set up. System Divide remind me of Eluveitie in that they can write incredible death metal songs around epic themes and use female vocals to control the damage. 4.5/5" - TheNewReview.net

Here's what press has been saying about THE CONSCIOUS SEDATION so far:
"What really makes this group stand out for me is the fact that they really seem to be attempting to writing songs that have memorable hooks and because of this anyone that gives this disc a shot will come away remembering some of the material… Combining melodic death metal with more mainstream metalcore and gothic metal sounded like a less than appealing mixture, but SYSTEM DIVIDE has proven me wrong… SYSTEM DIVIDE has proven to me that the words 'mainstream metal' don't always have to mean mediocre or average and if you approach this one with an open mind you may feel the same way." CosmosGaming.com
"The music is extreme, diverse, original and holds a very high level. The band combines the best of Soilwork, Aborted, Lacuna Coil, Slipknot and Bleeding Through to what nearly sounds like a seamless unit. De Caluwe goes ballistic while Milman's catchy lines remind me of Deadlock front-woman Sabine Weniger. With such a killer debut, a video for the apex doctrine and a Canadian tour, everything seems to point in the right direction for SYSTEM DIVIDE to take the world by storm." Aardschok Magazine (Netherlands)
"THE CONSCIOUS SEDATION is one of the better releases of the year. Is it appropriate to call a death metal release 'fresh'? Well, dammit, I am." 4.5/5, TheNewReview.net
About the band:
Founded in the summer of 2008, SYSTEM DIVIDE quickly became a transnational project. The band set out to revolutionize the conventions of the over-saturated melodic death metal genre, proving that extreme metal can have more depth than blast beats, while female vocals do not have to conform to the precepts of the "Goth" genre. In mixing many styles, The Collapse, the band's debut EP, breaks all the rules of extreme metal and is a landmark release for the new band.
As opposed to interjecting simple, predictable clean choruses into contrived song structures, SYSTEM DIVIDE unites serene female vocals and extreme vocals driven by lyrical themes that confront and seek to break everyday themes of disillusionment, societal materialism, and individual apathy. Musically, the band delivers myriad styles of riffing and grooves, while augmenting the entrancing soundscapes with hard-hitting drums and intricate bass lines. These elements together define the unique, spell binding, hypnotic sound of SYSTEM DIVIDE.
In order to achieve this complex calculus of sounds on The Collapse, Cole Martinez handled tracking duties at Conquistador Recordings. Mixing and mastering duties were handled by Jacob Hansen (Aborted, HateSphere, Volbeat) at Hansen Studios in Denmark in April and May 2009. Artwork for The Collapse was completed by Colin Marks (Strapping Young Lad, Aborted, Nevermore). The result is a sonic and visual masterpiece that metal has eagerly been waiting for.
The band recruited Michael Wilson (ex-Abigail Williams) as a second guitarist after the release of The Collapse EP and continued writing material for its first full length, THE CONSCIOUS SEDATION, which will be available online and in stores everywhere September 14, 2010. Following the philosophy of 'if it isn't broken, don't fix it,' the band once again recorded with producer/engineer Cole Martinez. Mixing and mastering for THE CONSCIOUS SEDATION was handled by the infamous James Murphy (Aborted, SWWAATS, Lazarus AD, Sigh, Arsis).

SYSTEM DIVIDE premier new track off upcoming album 'The Conscious Sedation' exclusively on BlankTV!
System Divide video for 'The Apex Doctrine' still crushing on BlankTV!
In conjunction with the upcoming debut full-length release from SYSTEM DIVIDE, The Conscious Sedation, Metal Blade Records has teamed up with BlankTV to premier the extreme modern metal act's single Hollow. Be sure to head over to BlankTV, the net's biggest punk and indie music channel, to check out the single Hollow and while you're there check out the music video for the song The Apex Doctrine, which was shot by Kevin Custer (Hatebreed, Testament, Dope, Dying Fetus, Suffocation).
If you like what you hear and see head over to the band's landing page and pre-order the album while there is still time to take advantage of the discounted prices. The Conscious Sedation is available by itself or bundled with a t-shirt.
Vocalist Miri Milman breaks down the lyrical content on the track Hollow:
"This song is personal to me; it speaks of a person that suffers continuously yet doesn't have the courage, guts, or strength to change his/her situation and keeps on being stuck in this downward spiral.
It is about the fear of changing something in your life for the better, the fear of taking that step which could make everything better. The song develops towards the person actually daring to take the step and seeing there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
This is obviously the ballad of the record, the calm between the storm. We wanted to also add to the diversity of the record and not only have fast songs all over the record. While being a softer System Divide song; it still has a part that will crush your balls with a smile :) We hope you will all enjoy listening to it as much as we had writing it! METAL!!!"

System Divide premiere "Vagaries Of Perception" on Noisecreep!
System Divide, featuring Aborted's Sven De Caluwe, entrenched themselves in the scene with their own brand of melody-haunted metal on last year's EP, 'The Collapse,' mixing a wall of dissonance with grit well beyond just a myriad of blast beats.
On 'Vagaries of Perception,' the worldwide act (U.S., Belgium and Israel are all represented) takes a step further in their evolution. Milman's clear voice soars alongside De Caluwe's gutter growl. It's serene, yet the tech movements of the song preach destruction. Noisecreep is proud to premiere the song, which is the lead track from 'The Conscious Sedation.'
Listen to 'Vagaries of Perception' on Noisecreep.com HERE.
For the full-length debut, production was handled once again by guitarist Cole Martinez, but the mixing and mastering was brought to famed Testament guitarist James Murphy (Daath, Lazarus AD). The result is a merciless assault of metal proportions.
'The Conscious Sedation' is due Sept. 14 via Metal Blade.
