RAVAGE
"The End Of Tomorrow"
RELEASED: 08.18.2009
Ravage singer comments on the band's appearance at the THRASHMAGEDDON 2 FESTIVAL in Albuquerque, NM
This just in from Ravage!

"On Saturday, May 1st, RAVAGE played in New Mexico for the first time ever at the 2nd annual THRASHMAGEDDON FESTIVAL, opening for thrash legends EXCITER. We'd like to thank everyone who came down to see us and also Taylor, the band DREAD, and everyone at NIGHTFORCE for bringing RAVAGE back to the Southwest and having the balls to put on a festival that only featured thrash and heavy metal bands.

"The show was not without its problems - I have to extend our apologies to fans who may have been expecting a longer set from us. As you might have guessed, a number of delays in the show, sound board issues and a bullshit local sound ordinance curfew forced us to have to cut our set time in half. EXCITER also had their set cut short as a result of this foolishness! After a long flight we at least would have liked to have played our full set for you guys - but those sorts of things tend to happen at festival shows and hopefully we can make it up to you with a future headlining appearance.

"On the bright side, we were impressed to see so many dedicated young thrashers and supporters of the New Mexico underground metal scene turn out to the show and it was cool to have a chance to hang out with EXCITER and see some of the best underground thrash bands from around the Southwest USA. We also got a chance to sample some local Roswell-style 'alien' beer - which was very cool. EXCITER closed out the night with "Long Live The Loud" so everyone left in a good mood before we had to catch a super-early flight back to Massachusetts - where we found out all the drinking water in our area was contaminated, strange weekend it was, so it goes, but weirdness, catastrophes and disasters always seem to follow this band around, so we are getting used to it. We hope to return to the Southwest for a full tour some time soon. Till then, we are playing more local shows, including an upcoming appearance in Stoughton MA on May 14th with MELIAH RAGE side project, BAD KARMA, and we are in the process of refining new songs for eventual recording. Until the next update, Rock Hard and RAVAGE IN PEACE!!!"

Ravage confirms appearance at Thrashmageddon 2!
Ravage, the heavy metal band from Boston MA which recently released their second full-length album "The End Of Tomorrow" through Metal Blade Records, has confirmed new live dates including a special 'home town' appearance at Rob Jack's Pub in Everett, MA on December 2nd and an appearance at THRASHMAGEDDON 2 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The later gig will be the band's first return to the Southwest since the band's US tour in the summer of 09'.

In other Ravage news, the band announced that they have been completing work on a video for the song "Grapes Of Wrath" which will feature Mike Egan from the feature-length independent action comedy "LAWSON: WHITE HEAT" (a trailer for that film is available here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpMZ4dxVW9Y) a release date for the video has not yet been announced.

Ravage announces new drummer!
“It is with regret that I must inform you all that George 'GTB' Bellofatto is no longer a member of Ravage. Change has been a constant in this band since we began quite a while back, but I had hoped our most recent line-up would be stable for once - unfortunately, after 3 years of playing together that was not in the cards and once again we have a change in the rhythm section. GTB has left the band to concentrate on his career outside of music and we wish him the best of luck with that and with any future musical projects he may undertake. We were lucky enough to have enlisted the aid of a great young local drummer named Pete Webber and we can now announce that he will be a permanent member of Ravage. Pete has played all of the dates on our current US tour, including our successful CD release party and he brings an abundance of skill and creativity. His performances have already gotten rave reviews from those in attendance and I have no doubt that his playing will add a new element of power, speed, and musical depth to future recordings.

Also, how ironic is it that we happened to find a drummer named Pete WEBBER for our Spider Over North America Tour…it just makes sense right?”

Ravage Denied Entry To Canada, some shows canceled, rescheduled
An update from Ravage:

“Hi everyone,
There are a lot of rumors going around and confusion as to what happened with our Canadian tour, so here is the explanation. Suffice it to say, we made every effort we could to make it to the shows and we were very much looking forward to playing Canada for the first time, but despite our best efforts, we were denied entry due to the promoter not filing the correct paperwork. We were held up at the border for hours by no fault of our own, threatened with arrest if we tried to enter again without the proper documents, and we were unable to send any communication about what was going on. Furthermore, as a result of this, the planned shows in Toledo, the Chicago area, and St. Paul MN will have to be canceled or rescheduled (we are working on that and will update you all as soon as possible). At this point the tour is set to resume in Philadelphia PA at The Stabin Cabin on Sept 2nd.

It looks like the Montreal show will be rescheduled for November 25th with a new promoter who should be able to take care of things properly. We apologize to anyone who was looking forward to seeing the band and to the promoters who did their jobs - we'll make it to your area ASAP.

We hope to see you all there. Thanks to everyone who has come to the shows and has picked up a copy of the new album.

The members of the SOCIETY FOR WORLD WIDE RAVAGE shall soldier on with our mission to bring traditional heavy metal back to the masses…we'll see you at the upcoming shows. Till then, RAVAGE IN PEACE!!!”

Ravage announces the “Spider Over America 2009” North American Tour
Metal Blade Records artists, Ravage, from Boston, MA, are hell-bent on resurrecting and breathing new life into traditional heavy metal in the United States. As part of their grand design to do so, the band has announced an extensive North American Tour in support of their forthcoming full-length CD, The End Of Tomorrow - due out on August 18th!

Ravage will bring the band's unique mix of early 80's NWOBHM, late 80's bay area style thrash and late 90's European power metal to most parts of the USA in addition to select dates in Eastern Canada.
The tour will be in essence, a collection of mini-tours featuring the best regional and local support acts appearing on short strings of dates. In the North East, Ravage will be joined by Las Vegas power metalers, Seventh Calling, for a series of shows. Some tour dates will also include Heaven and Hell Record's East Coasters Hellrazor. Southern dates will include appearances by A Lower Deep, and in the Northeast, Ravage will be joined by Skelator for some dates. In addition, Ravage will make a special guest appearance at the Seattle tour date of Stratovarius and will kick off the tour at the Mexico Metalfest in Mexico, Maine with Psychostick. Further festival appearances will include The KC Power Fest in Kansas City with Manilla Road, The Iron and Steel Festival in New Jersey with Ross The Boss and Faith Factor (ex-Deadly Blessing) and The Pathfinder Metalfest in Atlanta with Hallow’s Eve.

Singer Al Ravage comments, "We've been playing around New England and spots in the East coast for years. We've played in Germany a couple of times. People have written to us for the longest time saying, "Why don't you play on the west coast? Why don't you play so-and-so town in middle America?" Well, this is finally our response. If you've ever wanted to see this band - or if you've just been waiting for a kick-ass traditional metal/thrash/power metal show to come to your town, this is your chance to see it. We're playing venues large and small in over half the states in the country so we're most likely coming to a venue near you and you have no excuse not to come and see a show. We're finally ready to bring this sound back across America. We hope America is ready for it."

At each appearance Ravage will conduct a FREE meet and greet and signing session before the show. Check the Ravage myspace, http://www.myspace.com/swwr, for the latest updates, as shows are being added daily.

Ravage's new album, The End Of Tomorrow, will be released world-wide on Metal Blade Records on August 18th - the 12 track full-length features artwork by the legendary Ed Repka (MEGADETH, THE MISFITS, DEATH, AUSTRIAN DEATH MACHINE) and a cover of Judas Priest’s classic, Nightcrawler. A special pre-order package for the album will be announced soon. Confirmed tour dates are below.

Ravage posts new track from “The End Of Tomorrow” to myspace
Boston, MA’s Ravage have uploaded a new track from their forthcoming album, The End Of Tomorrow, due out August 18th on Metal Blade Records. The final mastered version of the song, Grapes Of Wrath, is now available for streaming on the band's myspace: www.myspace.com/swwr. A video for the song is currently being edited by the band's videographer John "Johnny Kubrick" Koziol (who was one of the masterminds behind the recent feature-length indie action comedy LAWSON: WHITE HEAT and has worked on video projects for such diverse musical artists as AGNOSTIC FRONT and THE WU TANG CLAN).

Singer Al Ravage comments on Grapes Of Wrath: "I think the lyrics and the entire vibe of this song is to try to get at the feeling of discontent people have with the current state of things, not only in America but in most parts of the world today. In this volatile economic climate, there are masses of people suffering and certain people like the Bernie Madoff's of the world are out there taking advantage of people and vampirically sucking the life out of our society for their own personal gain. This song is about those scumbags, and the people who support their wicked ways, and it is dedicated to those who have the guts to stand up to corruption, greed and injustice. In short, it's a pretty pissed-off slate of traditional, ball-crushing heavy metal aimed at your head and your heart."

In early August, Ravage will embark on a late summer/early fall tour across the US with a full schedule of dates to be announced soon.

Artwork and track listing for RAVAGE’s Metal Blade debut ‘The End of Tomorrow’
Los Angeles, CA – July 8, 2009 – Boston Massachusetts metalers RAVAGE are ready to unleash their Metal Blade Records debut, The End of Tomorrow on August 18th 2009. Artwork was handled by the famed artist Ed Repka who is known best for his Megadeth covers as well as cover art for Death, Municipal Waste, Toxic Holocaust, and Austrian Death Machine. The End of Tomorrow seamlessly intertwines the sounds of New Wave of British Heavy Metal, late 80's American Thrash Metal and late 90's European power metal to showcase the band's signature style. The album is sure to be enjoyed by metal maniacs young and old as it blends the soaring vocal and guitar melodies of Iron Maiden and Helloween with the raw power of thrashers like Testament and Kreator, presented in a crisply modern production-style courtesy of producer Peter Rutcho.

Here’s what vocalist Al Ravage has to say; “This album has been a very, very long time in the making and we'd like to thank Metal Blade for giving traditional, no-bullshit, American heavy metal a chance again. Also thanks to Peter Rutcho for his great production work on the album (giving new life and freshness to a classic sound), and Ed Repka (for inviting you all to share a glimpse into Ravage's corner of the singularly demented alternate reality he has created with mere brush strokes). 'The End' is finally near! Get ready to Ravage and we'll see you on tour this fall.”

The End of Tomorrow track listing:
1. The Halls of Madness
2. Reign Fall
3. Freedom Fighter
4. Damn Nation
5. The Shredder
6. Into The Shackles
7. In Shattered Dreams
