LIGHTNING SWORDS OF DEATH confirms dates with Abigail Williams in June
Lightning Swords Of Death is set to release their second album and Metal Blade debut, The Extra-Dimensional Wound, on May 25th. They've already completed tours with Behemoth and Kreator, but are definitely not ready to slow down. The band will be playing a select few west coast shows with Abigail Williams. The dates start on June 1st in Tucson, AZ and wrap up on the 6th at the storied Chain Reaction in Anaheim, CA.

LA underground black metal act, LIGHTNING SWORDS OF DEATH are pleased to release the track listing and cover art for the band's upcoming Metal Blade debut The Extra Dimensional Wound, out May 25th. The Extra Dimensional Wound was recorded in Corona, CA at Trench Studios with Roska from the band producing and John Haddad handling engineering duties, and was mixed and mastered by Sverker "Necro" Widgren at Necromorbus Studios in Stockholm Sweden.

It began seven years ago when a pact was made within a dilapidated house hidden in Southern California. It was here that Autarch, Roskva and Menno found themselves in agreement that should the occult sciences be applied to music, the results would prove extremely dangerous to their sanity, yet yield spectacular results. LIGHTNING SWORDS OF DEATH, as they would name it, would be in itself a meticulously designed hyper-sigil constructed to direct and antagonize the limitless dark energy that lurks within the less navigable chasms of the human mind and the space between spaces.
Enter 2009; LIGHTNING SWORDS OF DEATH signed a worldwide deal with Metal Blade Records and continued to push their brand of brazen black metal through their DYI attitude, getting multiple tracks on the PSP game UNDEAD KNIGHTS as well as a track featured on the soundtrack for the horror/thriller movie Stepfather (October 2009). LIGHTNING SWORDS OF DEATH budding reputation as a relentless and must see black metal act also earned the band a coveted spot on the Evangelia Amerika Tour, headlined by Behemoth and joined by Septicflesh of Greece, which kicked off in January 2010. In anticipation of the release of the band's debut Metal Blade album The Extra Dimensional Wound the band toured the western and southern US during March 2010 with none other than Kreator, Kataklysm, Evile and Lazarus A.D. LIGHTNING SWORDS OF DEATH even landed a highly sought after spot opening up the Los Angeles show for legendary black metalers Immortal!
"Contrary to popular imagination, one does not have to be from Norway to make a decently blasphemous metal record…a chaotically grim speed-fest with riffs alternating pace between a lurching crawl and a frenetic tornado. The Norwegian influence is definitely more predominant here, though thankfully it has the precision and grit that most classic black metal albums consciously left out."

Lightning Swords Of Death to plays 3 shows with Behemoth; tour with Kreator in 2010!
Los Angeles based black metal contingent, Lightning Swords Of Death, will be joining up with Polish legends, and now label mates, Behemoth for three west coast shows during the Evangelia Amerika tour in 2010. Lightning Swords Of Death vocalist, Autarch, comments on the Behemoth dates, “Regarding our dates with Behemoth, attendees can expect to find themselves victim to the horror of true and agonizing ritual abuse.” All of the bands on this lineup exemplify the epitome of their collective genres’ strengths and will be a dark and impressive sight to behold.

Metal Blade Records signs Lightning Swords Of Death!
Metal Blade Records is proud to announce inking a deal with LA underground black metal act, Lightning Swords Of Death. The band is seven years of the making and has been praised by the likes of Decibel, SOD Magazine, PIT Magazine and Metal Maniacs for their unrelenting and irrefutably vicious sound. Those who were privy to the band’s 2007 release, The Golden Plague, are already aware of the band’s prowess. Their second release took the form of a split CD with comrades Valdur, which was only available for a limited time at performances during the country wide 2008 Blodhevn tour. Metal Maniacs called LSOD’s part a "heavy, bestial and brutal assault bringing to mind a young and hungry Thornspawn.” The split continues to infect all who experience its unyielding expression of true chaos, but it’s only a precursor of the grand and terrible horror that is looming in the future like a headsman's shadow…
Vocalist Autarch divulges: “Metal Blade has made a pact with the Devil. His knights, Lightning Swords of Death shall go forth to wreak torment upon man and all his works for conquer and the glory of Hell on Earth. We rejoice in this union, together we shall stack the souls of the weak and fill our chalice with the blood of martyrs.”
