JOB FOR A COWBOY Announce Japanese Tour Dates
Fourth Installment Of "The Leads Are Weak" Video Series Posted

Death metal collective JOB FOR A COWBOY today announce four special headlining dates in Japan! Following their trek on the Metal Alliance tour, which is currently underway, the band will play two shows in Tokyo as well as Nagoya and Okinawa beginning on May 18. Confirmed dates are below:

JOB FOR A COWBOY in Japan
5/18/2012 Shibuya Cyclone - Tokyo, Japan w/ United [Tickets]
5/19/2012 Sakae R.A.D - Nagoya, Japan w/ Infernal Revulsion, Death I Am, Hostile Eyes, Neuerwind [Tickets]
5/20/2012 Shibuya Milkyway - Tokyo, Japan w/ Arise In Stability, Metal Safari, Infernal Revulsion, Death I Am [Tickets]
5/21/2012 Chatan Salt & Papper - Okinawa, Japan w/ Illuminati, Shores, Roach, Shakes Beard

JOB FOR A COWBOY will be touring in support of their brand new studio recording, Demonocracy, released in North America last week through Metal Blade Records. The intricate, Jason Suecof-produced offering tackles various political and economic themes and continues to crush the masses nationally. In a recent review Ultimate-Guitar noted of the record: "The album plays like a constant assault, and while never backing off it still manages to add enough structure for individual songs to become memorable," adding that, "the soloing is surprisingly catchy and well-executed while still managing to sit well in the context of the songs." Alternative Press calls Demonocracy "an ass-kicking, skull-cracking record," while Stereokiller agrees: "…a solid slab of some really heavy technical death metal. JOB FOR A COWBOY has separated themselves from former peers such as All Shall Perish and Whitechapel, and has now firmly fitted themselves with the likes of Suffocation and Dying Fetus."

In related news, the fourth in the "The Leads Are Weak" instructional video series by guitar wizard Tony Sannicandro is currently posted for your viewing pleasure. Subtitled "Getting Sexual," Sannicandro elaborates: "One of the most important things to me in soloing is good phrasing. The first half of the 'Misery Reformatory' solo is a pretty cool example of good phrasing that fits the song. It would have been easy to go to the classic E-minor and start burning like the clap, but I figured it would be better to break it down a little simpler and make it sexy. This is easy to play but it's a good lesson in outlining the solo like the curves of a beautiful broad." See for yourself at THIS LOCATION.

JOB FOR A COWBOY are nearing the end of the Metal Alliance Tour. Joined by The Faceless, Dying Fetus, 3 Inches Of Blood, Impending Doom, Wretched, and headliners, Devildriver, the remaining dates include.

Crowned "an ass-kicking, skull-cracking record," in a 4/5 review by Alternative Press, the nine-track production tackles a host of political and economic themes including media propaganda, the "war industry" and the staggering debts faced by America. Immerse yourself in the full audio wreckage at THIS LOCATION.

Dubbed "The Leads Are Weak," the mini clips offer playing tips and an up-close look at Sannicandro's astounding skills and technique. In the third installment, Sannicandro performs an exercise called "double dutch." Sannicandro elaborates: "This is a two-note per string lick that incorporates a slight Dimebag feel and some chromatics. Two notes per string is often neglected by many guitar players, because three notes a string is much easier to get up to speed, but two note patterns are an OG way to put some bluesy flavor in your lick-age."

JOB FOR A COWBOY: Death Metal Goliaths To Unleash New Studio Offering
Album Info And New Track Revealed

Death metal goliaths JOB FOR A COWBOY will unleash their brand new studio recording entitled Demonocracy this Spring. Set for North American release on April 10, 2012 via Metal Blade Records, the nine-track Demonocracy was produced by Jason Seucof (Black Dahlia Murder, Whitechapel, Trivium), who recorded the band's blistering Ruination full-length, at Audiohammer Studios and features another strikingly detailed concept cover by artist Brent Elliott White.

Returning with an odd ball lineup, the nine-track Demonocracy seethes with unbridled vulgarity and potent disgust. Over their long existence the quintet have built a yearning fan base through their devotion to touring and a diehard commitment to creating relentlessly hostile and involving music, and in 2012 JOB FOR A COWBOY have never sounded hungrier.

Commented the band in a collective statement: "However ruthless an age may actually have been, it's style transmits it's music only."

Check out the bludgeoning new single, "Nourishment Through Bloodshed," as well as cover art and behind-the-scenes studio footage at the band's OFFICIAL LANDING PAGE.

Demonocracy Track Listing:
01. Children of Deceit
02. Nourishment Through Bloodshed
03. Imperium Wolves
04. Tongueless and Bound
05. Black Discharge
06. The Manipulation Stream
07. The Deity Misconception
08. Fearmonger
09. Tarnished Gluttony

With the critical praise and fan adoration bestowed upon 2009's Ruination, it would have been easy for the band to rest upon their proverbial laurels and serve up Ruination Part II. But from the moment Demonocracy roars to life it is wholly evident that this is a far more musically accomplished beast that takes their signature sound to the next level. From the abrasive blast of opener "Children Of Deceit" to the disconcerting strains of "The Deity Misconception" or the brooding, heart wrenching closer "Tarnished Gluttony". A record drenched in equal parts misanthropy and naked rage, and from start to finish they suspend the listener by the throat.

A key factor in this progression was the change in the band's ranks, which finds vocalist Jonny Davy, drummer Jon "Charn" Rice, and guitarist Al Glassman joined by guitarist Tony Sannicandro, who met Al when he was a session guitarist for Despised Icon and filled the slot vacated by Thompson. In addition, Cephalic Carnage bassist Nick Schendzielos replaces Brent Riggs. Having initially brought Sannicandro and Schendzielos on as touring musicians, the members immediately gelled, and first wrote together on 2011's Gloom EP, sealing the deal and securing their places as full-fledged members of the band.

Guitarist Tony Sannicandro believes he made a very natural addition into the band's ranks, and he's proud to bring his intricate style to JOB FOR A COWBOY's instantly recognizable sound. "I think I bring more of an old school guitar approach to the band. Obviously before the band got me there wasn't a lot of lead work. On the new album has a solo on every song. I think I've done the best work of my life on there," he states. Equally, no one can doubt Schendzielos' musical pedigree and formidable skills, and the bassist is looking to really make a mark through his work with the band. "It's really invigorating that the cats in JFAC are into my style because there is such a great expanse of uncharted territory for bass in metal," he states. "Cephalic is notorious for our chaotic and vigorous live performances alongside an expansive and dilatant range of metal stylings. I'm bringing all that experience with me and combining it with the talents of these splendid men to make my best bass work to date."

Here’s what press has been saying about each bands’ new album:

GOATWHORE

“the band’s tightest, most guitar-driven offering to date. An unholy smorgasbord of rigid tempo shifts, gargantuan hooks, blasting black mass anthems, and Falgoust’s soot and venom snarl…” Decibel Magazine

“Their most varied record to date. Songs sear with an old-school, punk propelled urgency that comes from years of Motörhead, Venom, and Hellhammer worship.” 4/5 Revolver Magazine

“some of the purest metal that 2009 will bear witness to.” Outburn Magazine

“This is the catchiest album Goatwhore have ever released.” MetalSucks.net

“Carving Out The Eyes Of God is one of our top-3 releases of 2009. Hands down.” TheGauntlet.com

“The 10 track could make even the most stubborn Nordic black metal fans squirm, as the stabbing and slashing guitars and Ben Falgoust’s dark sermon growling never have sounded better.” The Daily News McKeesport

“GOATWHORE have gone above expectations this time around…destined to be their version of The Blackening by MACHINE HEAD for their genre as they have perfected their art and this album will turn up in many ‘Best Of’ lists for 2009!” perfect 10/10, SMNnews.com

Carving Out The Eyes Of God represents GOATWHORE immediately at their most lethal and unconventional and comes with high recommendations.” MetalEater.com

“heavier and even more blasphemous” 3.5/4 skulls, Fangoria.com

“Goatwhore finally captured the power of their live performance on disc…by far the bands best effort to date.” GASPetc.com

BEHEMOTH
“stripped-down and explosive” About.com’s #2 album of August 2009

“Behemoth are unstoppable.” DecibelMagazine.com

“their ultimate masterpiece” 4/4 skulls, Fangoria.com

“a trve masterpiece” Ultimate-Guitar.com

“They’re just as violent as they’ve ever been, and have become masters of synergy in ways lesser bands will never come close to achieving.” MetalReview.com

“It sounds like it took heartfelt effort instead of simple force and rage alone, but at the same time refraining from treading into overdone, hokey self-consumption. It brings on an almost physical reaction rather than just an aural sensation, and that’s very commendable.” MetalReview.com

“Behemoth produce some of the most technical, intelligent, and turbulent Metal available in today's market…they're firmly cemented among the extreme Metal elite.” Metal-Rules.com

“Intelligently manifested, well-researched works…nine albums into his mission, Nergal’s inner flame is nowhere near extinguished, which can either be a terrifying or tantalizing thought.” The Daily News McKeesport

“If these guys aren't the current kings of extreme metal, I don't know who is.” 10/10, Live-Metal.net

JOB FOR A COWBOY
Ruination mixes tech-death precision with expressionist hardcore rage quite ably, and marks Job For A Cowboy as a band fully deserving their success.” 4/5 stars, Alternative Press Magazine

Ruination, their sophomore full-length, sees Job For A Cowboy out to silence their detractors with sheer blunt force trauma, every track precisely honed and crushingly heavy in execution.” Outburn Magazine

"JOB FOR A COWBOY just keeps getting better and better.” The Onion

“It’s frightening, dangerous and short, and instead of just throwing sh*t against the studio wall and seeing how it sticks, JFAC are actually art-chitects of a technical and transgressive style of music.” ultimate-guitar.com

“…riffs and pummeling double-bass rhythms combine the intricacy of Decapitated with the raw fury of Darkest Hour.” AltPress.com

“an extremely well written and powerful album of pure Death Metal dominance.” Fangoria.com

“they came out like a 'roid-ragin' cage-fighter with "Ruination"; a far more focused and schooled effort than its predecessor.” Blabbermouth.net

“As with any band, it’s great to be able to blast ahead at breakneck speed, but knowing when to pull it back, find the hole, and fill it with something tasteful is when a band truly learns the art of songwriting and the young lads of JFAC have learned this at an early age.” SMNnews.com

Ruination is a much more violent effort than Job for a Cowboy's debut.” Live-Metal.net

“with Ruination, Job For A Cowboy’s musical prowess has caught up with the hype.” about.com

Ruination is 100%, grade-A death metal.” MetalUnderground.com

JOB FOR A COWBOY SKYROCKETS TO #42 ON BILLBOARD CHART WITH NEW ALBUM “RUINATION”
Award-winning Glendale, AZ heavy music powerhouse JOB FOR A COWBOY lands at #42 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart this week with its sophomore album, Ruination. The record dropped on July 7 in North American via Metal Blade Records and shifted nearly 11,000 units in just its first week of release.

Additionally, Ruination debuted at #4 on Billboard’s Top Independent Albums Chart and at #7 on Billboard’s Hard Music Albums Chart. The album also debuted at #50 on Canada’s Nielsen SoundScan Charts, #5 on its Independent Albums Chart and at #8 on the Canadian Hard Music Albums Chart. The follow up to JOB FOR A COWBOY's 2007 debut, Genesis (the highest charting metal debut to crack Billboard's Top 200 since Slipknot's 1999 self-titled album), Ruination has met to scads of critical acclaim in the weeks leading up to its release. The album’s first week charting position represents one of the highest Billboard debuts ever for a band representing the “death metal” subgenre.

JOB FOR A COWBOY’s Ruination is a concentrated hotbed of astounding dexterity, scorching attack, sleek arrangement and thundering musical muscle. Infectious riffs, keen dynamics and the assertive vocals of rising star front man Jonny Davy combine to produce an album that is at once powerful, expressive, confident and commanding. The album features ten tracks of state-of-the-art heavy metal music. The New York Times referred to JOB FOR A COWBOY’s sound as “brute-force”, a commendatory claim that Ruination unquestionably validates.

JOB FOR A COWBOY is currently touring North America with Slayer as part of the 2009 “ROCKSTAR Energy Mayhem Festival”. The 27-date North American march is slated to run through August 15 in Dallas, TX. In the two years since the release of the band’s full length debut, JOB FOR A COWBOY (JFAC) has progressed from “the band with the different name” to one of the leading lights for heavy music in the 21st century. The quintet has toured the world to out-and-out acclaim, highlighted by main stage appearances at distinguished music jubilees such as the UK’s Download Festival and Germany’s Wacken Open Air.

HIGH-POWERED METAL BAND JOB FOR A COWBOY COMPLETES WORK ON NEW ALBUM; ANNOUNCES PARTICIPATION AS PART OF 2009 ROCKSTAR ENERGY MAYHEM FESTIVAL
Award-winning Glendale, AZ heavy music powerhouse JOB FOR A COWBOY has completed work on its hotly-anticipated sophomore album, entitled Ruination. The record will see a July, 2009 worldwide release date via Metal Blade Records.

The follow up to the quintet’s celebrated debut album Genesis, Ruination was recorded at Audio Hammer Productions in Sanford, FL with Producer Jason Suecof (The Black Dahlia Murder) and will be mixed by acclaimed audio authority Fredrik Nordstrom (At The Gates, Opeth). Ruination marks the JOB FOR A COWBOY recording debut of drumming prodigy Jon “The Charn” Rice, who has toured with the band since the release of Genesis and features ten tracks of state-of-the-art heavy metal music.

Ruination sees JOB FOR A COWBOY advance by leaps and bounds; the record is a concentrated hotbed of astounding dexterity, scorching attack, sleek arrangement and thundering musical muscle. Infectious riffs, keen dynamics and the assertive vocals of rising star front man Jonny Davy combine to produce an album that is at once powerful, expressive, confident and commanding. The New York Times referred to JOB FOR A COWBOY’s sound as “brute-force”, a commendatory claim that Ruination unquestionably validates.

On the topic of the new album, JOB FOR A COWBOY front man Jonny Davy states, “Job For A Cowboy has toured the world and faced a ton of challenges over the course of the last year and a half. Referred to as "the most anticipated debut release from a metal band in years", and released in North America on May 18, 2007, JFAC’s Genesis landed at # 54 on Billboard's Top 200 chart in its first week of release; becoming at that time the highest charting metal debut to crack the Billboard register since Slipknot's 1999 self-titled album. The band would go on to earn a landslide of top media accolades including being named one of Alternative Press' "Bands You Need to Know", "Best Underground Band" at the Metal Hammer "Golden Gods Awards", one of Revolver's "Breakthrough Bands that will be Kicking Your Ass this Year" and one of Total Guitar's "Hottest Guitar Bands".
