GWAR to appear on Fearless TV again this weekend

GWAR and Dean Guitars are stoked to announce the “Needles in a Bloodbath Contest” What is the “Needles in a Bloodbath Contest”? Here are the details. Four fans will be “chosen” as grand prize winners and they will be presented with a one of a kind Dean MLX guitar, that has been painted, decorated, desecrated and autographed by GWAR.

GWAR bassist BEEFCAKE THE MIGHTY made the following proclamation about the “Needles in a Bloodbath Contest” “Your Lords and Masters, GWAR, have teamed up with the fine folks at Dean Guitars to bring you the most brutal contest in the history of the Universe! Just follow the instructions (dumbed down for your puny minds) for your chance to win a one of a kind Dean guitar personally signed, defaced, and defiled by GWAR! Good luck, scum!

GWAR will perform the song "Let Us Slay" on Fearless Music TV this Saturday, November 7. The show will air at 12:30 a.m. on Fox 5 in New York City. Oderus Urungus of GWAR featured in SPIN Magazine
ODERUS, BEEFCAKE AND BALSAC SERVE AS CELEBRITY JUDGES FOR THE 14th ANNUAL BURTON SNOWBOARD DOG-COSTUME CONTEST

2009 truly has been the year of GWAR. They released their 25th anniversary album “Lust in Space” on Metal Blade Records; they are currently on their 25th anniversary tour with Lamb of God, and The Red Chord. ODERUS URUNGUS has become the “Interplanetary Correspondent” for Fox News Red Eye, and now ODERUS URUNGUS is featured in the latest issue of SPIN Magazine.

The feature in the November 2009 issue of SPIN Magazine takes place at the Slave Pit in Antarctica and it is entitled “In My Room”. GWAR’s warty front-thing takes an exuberant amount of pride in showing off his room and all of his unique possessions, including his dead dog “Pookie” who has been with him since the beginning as his lover and his pet.

Speaking of pets and more specifically dogs, ODERUS URUNGUS, BEEFCAKE THE MIGHTY and BALSAC THE JAWS OF DEATH served as celebrity judges in the 14th Annual Burton Snowboard Pet Costume Contest yesterday in Burlington, VT.

Unphased by success, GWAR continues on their course as "the people's band". Band members ODERUS URUNGUS, BEEFCAKE THE MIGHTY, and BALSAC THE JAWS OF DEATH. are seen here judging the 14th Annual Burton Dog-Costume Show. The event is held every year to benefit CHILL, a charity group dedicated to giving underprivileged children a chance to try snowboarding and other winter sports.

"GWAR loves animals, and underprivileged children," said ODERUS,"usually cooked, sometimes raw…"

GWAR premieres new video for their single “Let Us Slay”
SEE GWAR LIVE THIS FALL AND WINTER ON THEIR 25th ANNIVERSARY TOUR

GWAR just kicked off the first phase of the tour of their already-legendary two-year long 25th Anniversary Celebration. They are touring in support of their brand new album, "LUST IN SPACE", out now on Metal Blade Records!

Continuing the celebration in true GWAR form, the band recently wrapped filming for their first music video off the of the “LUST IN SPACE” album for the lead single “LET US SLAY” Check out the world premiere of the video on the official home page of GWAR. www.gwar.net

Said ODERUS URUNGUS, who has been saying a lot of stuff lately, "LET US SLAY” is the first video from our new epic album, ‘LUST IN SPACE’, and provides actual first-hand footage of GWAR's recent travels through outer space and our cosmic struggle against that intergalactic asshole Cardinal Syn…this should put an end to any speculation that we are not really from outer space…you can really see us flying around on spaceships and shit!"

After a huge hit of crack laced with horse tranquilizer and kitty litter, the warty front-thing continued, "This is just the latest GWAR video from esteemed director David Brodsky, whom we have worked w/ before on the amazing ‘SCHOOL’S OUT’ video. He is a very talented and effusively garrulous sort of guy, and he works for rocks! Plus I am particularly excited about the many dance moves that I executed in the course of the video…I recently studied under Christopher Walken, and after working very hard he gave me the nickname "Twinkletoes!"

Show your devotion to the world's only openly extra-terrestrial band, the mighty GWAR, and pick up a copy of their amazing new album, "LUST IN SPACE" even if you have already. And don't forget to check out 2009's most awesome tour - experience the legend that is GWAR, some very special friends, and the soon-to-be-arriving war fleet of Cardinal Syn, this fall and winter in the following cities…HAIL GWAR!

GWAR slays the Billboard Top 200 at #96 with their new album “Lust In Space”, garnering their highest chart position to date!
ALSO DEBUTING AT # 13 ON THE HARD ROCK MUSIC CHART AND # 17 ON THE TOP INDEPENDENT ALBUM CHART

The one and only “Scumdogs of the Universe”, GWAR, have truly outdone themselves this time. Their 25th anniversary album Lust in Space debuted at number 96 on the Billboard Top 200 chart making it the band’s highest chart position in their storied career.

Lead singer and current Fox News Red Eye Intergalactic correspondent Oderus Urungus had the following to say about GWAR’s record setting chart debut, “We are appalled, shocked, outraged, and completely ecstatic over GWAR's latest master-work, LUST IN SPACE debuting at # 96 in the Billboard Charts…in keeping with my finally confirmed uber-rock star status, I have already vomited on Lindsay Lohan's puss, visited the the Obama girls, and sodomized Carrot-Top. And there was much rejoicing.”

Still sporting nachos in his beard, Oderus continued to rant “But 96? That's just not going to do it…GWAR and Metal Blade Records plan to keep on with this relentless assault until we go all the way to # 95!"

Lust in Space is in stores now, so pick it up and help Oderus and the Scumdogs obtain their goal of reaching #95 on the Billboard Top 200.

Oderus Urungus makes appearance as guest host of first ever Nacho Jump in Richmond, VA

The Bike Lot in Richmond, VA was the scene of mass craziness on the weekend of Aug. 23rd, 2009. Under a sweltering sun, the good folks came out in force to witness the colossal event known as --THE NACHO JUMP. This spectacular event was part of the annual "Best Friends Day" yearly celebration which drew over 4000 people on this, the 10th anniversary of the event. People came from as far away as Australia to be a part of what is fast becoming a cultural event of impressive girth.

Guest host Oderus Urungus of the mighty GWAR shot-gunned beers, abused the crowd, taunted the riders and even passed out into the Nacho-pit.

"The fine freaks of Richmond have invited me, knowing my love of Nachos…and crack…and nachos, and ho's", said the cheese-smeared space alien.

Also in attendance was BMX legend Matt "The Condor" Hoffman. Here he is seen writing "I love you" on Oderus' ass. Matt was in town to judge the event and act like a degenerate.

Oderus Urungus makes record breaking fifth appearance on Fox News' "Red Eye"
25th Anniversary album Lust In Space in stores this Tuesday, August 18th

This just in from Slave Pit Headquarters! The world’s first and only “Intergalactic Correspondent”, the ever-affable Oderus Urungus, made his fifth and most memorable appearance on Fox News “Red Eye”, hosted by Greg Gutfeld. The appearance went so well in fact that “Red Eye” has given Oderus the opportunity to have more airtime by being a member of the panel for an entire show.

Mr. Urungus had the following to say about this recent development:

"After weeks of scrutiny, the fools…I mean the people at Fox News have decided to give me more airtime. This marks yet another step in the transformation of Oderus from lead singer to leading man-thing. I won't stop until my career eclipses that of Carrot-top, who will be forced to eat his own genitals in a desperate attempt at publicity. The humans need programs like "The GWAR Show", or "GWAR TV" or even "Everybody Loves Oderus". Considering we are GWAR, we are the perfect choice to play ourselves!"

Check out video footage of Oderus’ fifth appearance HERE.

“Lust in Space” hits stores this Tuesday August 18th and in celebration of their 25th anniversary, GWAR has decided to do something that they have never done before. GWAR is offering autographed copies of their new album for pre-order at http://www.metalblade.com/gwar/index.html.

Metal Blade Records has created a GWAR widget which you can also find at http://www.metalblade.com/gwar/index.html. The widget includes an MP3 of the new track “Let Us Slay”, band photos, information about the album, and will soon have upcoming GWAR tour dates. Fans can also add the widget to their blogs and networking pages and it will update automatically with new tour dates, music, videos and more.

GWAR’s brand new album “Lust In Space” autographed copies available for pre-order
With mere weeks left before the release of GWAR’s latest opus, “Lust in Space” the anticipation from their rabid fans is continuing to build. Since this is their 25th anniversary, GWAR has decided to do something that they have never done before. GWAR is offering autographed copies of their new album for pre-order at http://www.metalblade.com/gwar/index.html.

Quoth lead singer Oderus Urungus, “This task proved especially difficult as several GWAR members can't write, and in fact Flattus didn't even know his own name. Of the 8000 sharpies used in the completion of this task, over 6000 caps were lost, and the remaining markers were promptly rammed up my ass, where they will stay throughout our upcoming "LUST IN SPACE" tour."

GWAR and Slave Pit leak first official track “Let Us Slay” from new album
“LUST IN SPACE” OUT AUGUST 18TH ON METAL BLADE RECORDS

GWAR ANNOUCES COMIC-CON SIGNING SESSION

GWAR and the Slave Pit have officially “Leaked” the first track from the new album LUST IN SPACE due on August 18th via Metal Blade Records. “Let Us Slay” can now be heard at the band’s official MySpace page, www.myspace.com/gwarofficial.

Sez Oderus, GWAR's warty lead singer and convicted whale-molester, "This song deals with the human race’s lust for blood, all the while maintaining the lie of ‘Thou shalt not kill’…It calls upon the humans to embrace their love of death (and therefore GWAR), shed their hypocritical trappings, and proceed with the apocalypse. It's going to happen anyway, so they might as well enjoy it!"

There are unconfirmed reports that "Let Us Slay" will be the first video track, to be directed by Dave Brodsky, of "School's Out" fame.

In other Scumdog-related news, GWAR has announced that they will be appearing at the San Diego Comic-Con for a signing session. The signing will take place on Thursday July 23rd from 1pm-3pm PST on the second floor of the Con.

We continue the countdown to Aug 18th, when you can hear "Lust in Space" in its full glory!

Urungus grabs victory - chokes Tracy Smother the F out!
In an event asinine yet sublime, GWAR lead singer Oderus Urungus has claimed victory over world-famous wrestler Tracy Smothers in a match held last week at Schoenbaum Amphitheater in Charleston, W. Virginia.

“It wasn't too hard…I just grabbed his neck, and choked. His eyeballs popped out of his skull. End of story,” said the well-hung shock-rocker.

Smothers corpse was quickly re-animated by the necrotic power of Oderus, and the two pledged to continue to wage their war as long as people “gave them money for it”.

“This is huge in Czechoslovakia,” said the still-bleeding Smothers.

There has been no word on the re-match.

Oderus also recently appeared on Fox News’ late-night show, “Red Eye,” as their “Interplanetary Correspondent.” The footage is available HERE.

The world continues to count down to the release of GWAR’s new album, Lust In Space, and the beginning of their 2-year long 25th Anniversary tour, both coming on August 18th!

Quoth Oderus, "We couldn't be more delighted to be back on Metal Blade. The alliance of metal's most prestigious label and metal's most incredible band shall form an UberKlaw of ten-fold devastation. When GWAR's new album, Lust in Space, drops in August, the world shall be forced to its knees in total submission to our confusing dominance! The release marks the 25th Anniversary of GWAR's thawing-out, and we proclaim a two-year celebration to herald this brain-melting event! Death to life! Up the Irish! GWAR is back on Metal Blade and bitter is their wrath!"

Brian Slagel comments; “I am honored and very excited to welcome GWAR back into the Metal Blade Family. We have had a tremendous relationship with them for a long time and we look forward to working with them again on their new album, Lust in Space.”
