GOATWHORE and HATE ETERNAL announce Feb-March tour
Label mates Goatwhore and Hate Eternal will be hitting the road on February 18th for a several week co-headlining tour. The supporting bands on the tour will be Fallujah and Cerebral Bore. The tour will take the bands from New Orleans to Brooklyn, with stops along the way in Hollywood, the Pacific Northwest and Canada. All tour dates can be seen now on the bands' facebook pages.
Phoenix Amongst the Ashes was released on May 10th and was hailed as "a relentless, intricate, and near-anthemic crowd-pleaser" by Revolver Magazine. Albert Mudrian of Decibel Magazine declared that Phoenix Amongst the Ashes is "the best death metal record I've heard in FOREVER!" while the folks over at Metal Sucks proclaim that "Phoenix Amongst the Ashes is the moment Erik Rutan's entire career has been leading towards -- it's heavy, it's catchy, and it's innovative. This is the best death metal album of 2011 so far, and other bands are going to have to work pretty hard to top it." Jade Simonetto's performance was complimented by the highly respected DRUM! Magazine: "Phoenix showcases a far more dynamic band. Guitar passages range from weedly to art-y to textured…juxtaposing break-neck verses with near-mid-tempo groove sections…Simonetto takes the gold for endurance." Needless to say, Phoenix Amongst the Ashes could very well be considered the best of the band's long and storied career.
Goatwhore is preparing to announce the details of their new effort. Goatwhore experienced a meteoric rise in 2010. Their song Apocalyptic Havoc appeared on the soundtracks for Splatterhouse and Saints Row: The Third, video game titles released for Xbox 360 and PS3, the video for the same song was used in an episode of Last Call with Carson Daly, they toured as part of Ozzfest 2010, and they also toured with Watain, The Black Dahlia Murder and more. Carving Out the Eyes of God, released at the tail end of 2009, was met with praise from fans and critics alike and hailed as one of the best metal albums of the year.

Goatwhore confirmed to support Lock Up for their February 2012 North American tour
Lock Up, the UK death metal group featuring genre veterans, Tomas Lindberg (At The Gates, Disfear), Shane Embury (Napalm Death, Venomous Concept), Nicolas Barker (ex-Cradle Of Filth, ex-Dimmu Borgir) and Anton Reisenegger (Criminal, Pentagram), has announced its first ever North American tour, a headlining run with Goatwhore and Strong Intention, set to kick off in February.
Goatwhore vocalist Ben Falgoust adds, "We know it is only a hand full of shows with Lock Up, but it will be a great start into the release of our next record. Not only are the Lock Up and Strong Intention guys good friends, they will both add to the complete assault of this aggressive line up. We have spoken to Nick and Shane of Lock Up numerous times about doing some tours together in the past. We are quite enthusiastic about hitting the road with them even if it is such a short run. This will not only be an insane attack of musical chaos but numerous nights of complete lawless behavior. Prepare yourselves for the assault!"
Said Lock Up drummer, Nick Barker, "After many attempts in the past, sadly to no avail, Lock Up finally gets to make it stateside for a string of shows with our good friends from Louisiana, Goatwhore. For us in Lock Up, to play with Goatwhore in the US is like a dream tour, as they are one of our favorite bands - and being good friends with them too only makes this package even more special to us. Be prepared North America 'cause we're coming over to blast your minds into deathgrind oblivion!"
Lock Up is touring in support of its third studio album, Necropolis Transparent, which hit stores in July on Nuclear Blast Records. Goatwhore will be touring in support of their new album, details for which are forthcoming.

GOATWHORE launches studio update; recording new album at Mana Studios in Tampa, FL
New album being produced by Erik Rutan
GOATWHORE has posted their first video update from the studio on MetalBlade.tv HERE. The video was shot and edited by the band and is the first in a series of videos that will chronicle the recording of the new album. The band is making quick progress and drums have already been completed.
Drummer Zack Simmons added the following: "Tracking for the new record went very smoothly with the help of excellent equipment. I played a Pearl Reference kit with Sabian AA cymbals. The drums sound like canons of doom. Every time I hear the toms I want to break something because they sound so damn good. The AA's were a perfect match in their ability to cut through the thunder of the drums. This record is going to have a giant pair of balls hanging from it."
Erik Rutan also produced the band's previous two efforts, A Haunting Curse and Carving Out the Eyes of God. More details, including art, music and more studio updates will be made available as soon as they are completed.
Once GOATWHORE wraps up recording, they will immediately hit the road for headlining shows starting in Tampa, FL. From there, they will join the Exhumed tour presented by Hails and Horns, MetalSucks and MetalInjection. Support on the tour comes from Cephalic Carnage and Havok. The tour stars in Gallup, NM on October 26th. All current dates can be seen now on the band's facebook page HERE.

GOATWHORE honored at The Big Easy Awards 2011
New Orleans natives, Goatwhore, have been declared the Best Hard Rock/Metal Artist at The Big Easy Awards sponsored by Gambit Magazine and held on April 25th, 2011 at Harrah's. Goatwhore was nominated among metal peers and Housecore recording artists Arson Anthem and Haarp. The Big Easy Awards in 2011 honors winners based on their work and performances in 2010.
Goatwhore had one of their best years as a band in 2010. Their song Apocalyptic Havoc appeared on the soundtrack for Splatterhouse, a video game released for Xbox 360 and PS3 by Namco Bandai, the video for the same song was used in an episode of Last Call with Carson Daly, they toured as part of Ozzfest 2010, and they also toured with Watain, The Black Dahlia Murder and more. GOATWHORE also carved out a spot for themselves on Canada's charts coming in at #48 on Independent chart and #79 on Hard Chart.
Goatwhore will soon be entering the studio to record their follow up to Carving, and there's no doubt that it will live up to, if not surpass, its predecessor.

Starting on September 22 in Raleigh, NC at Volume 11, GOATWHORE will be joining label mates The Absence for 6 dates and will head straight into the start of The Black Dahlia Murder tour that kicks off on September 28 in Columbus OH at Skully's. Shortly after the tour alongside fellow label mates The Black Dahlia Murder, GOATWHORE will be ending a very successful year of touring by joining Watain and Black Anvil for a tour that takes the band across the US throughout the month of November. Shortly after GOATWHORE finishes up their run with Watain and Black Anvil, the band will be entering the studio to begin recording their 5th full-length album, and 3rd for Metal Blade Records. More details on the studio and the new material will be made available over the coming months on Metal Blade's and GOATWHORE's sites.
"Just when one tour comes to an end another few step into place. We have, as always, put an extreme effort on touring for each release we put out. Our most current release, CARVING OUT THE EYES OF GOD, is no exception and has brought us on many great touring adventures. Just returning home from Ozzfest 2010 we find ourselves locking in the rest of the year with two excellent tours. First, alongside our good friends in The Black Dahlia Murder, then a final end of the year outing with the black art of Watain. The Ozzfest experience was a great thing to be a part of. Playing and hanging with good friends and the bonus of watching some legendary musicians that have influenced us from our earlier metal years. We are looking forward to finishing up the year and getting things rolling for the next release. Hope to see everyone on the road in the next couple of months" comments vocalist Ben Falgoust.
Drummer Zack Simmons adds; "this has been a great time touring for this record. We've been very fortunate to been included on a lot of good tours. It was an honor to be included on Ozzfest once again. We are very confident and determined to deliver another killer record and tour our asses off again, as we always do! Stay fuck!!! Stay thirsty, my friends! P.S. Be careful where you store your sewing needles. You never know what can happen…"

About the band:
Emerging from the swamplands of New Orleans, Louisiana — a city rich with urban legends of voodoo curses, ghosts and murder — Goatwhore was formed in 1997 by guitarist Sammy Duet (Acid Bath, Crowbar, Ritual Killer etc.). Their history is a winding one marked by lineup shifts, temporary paralysis, haunted studios, and the survival of one of the five most destructive hurricanes in US history. Influenced by the raw savagery of bands like Venom and Celtic Frost, their unrefined, fuck-all approach to black metal first revealed on the Serenades To The Tides Of Blood demo and expanded upon on the now legendary Eclipse Of Ages Into Black debut nearly a decade ago earned the band instant underground credibility.
In an oversaturated metal landscape where sub-genres spawn sub-sub-genres and the very definition of "metal" seems blurred by cross-pollinating madness, sacred are the bands who stay true to their roots. Goatwhore spew the sort of sinister, fist-clenching, speaker-searing sound that made metal so forbiddingly enticing in the first place. The year of the 'Whore is truly upon us! Carving out the Eyes of God was released June 23rd, 2009.

OZZFEST performers get pumped up for the tour's highly anticipated return!
Six-date tour launches Saturday, August 14th in San Bernardino, CA
OZZFEST is back and fans aren't the only ones excited about it--this year's performers are pumped up, as illustrated by the quotes below. Launching Saturday, August 14 in San Bernardino, CA--the birthplace of the first OZZFest in 1996--this year's tour will include main stage artists Ozzy Osbourne, Mötley Crüe, Rob Halford, DevilDriver and Nonpoint. Second stage headliners Black Label Society will return for their seventh appearance on the tour and will be joined by Drowning Pool, Kingdom of Sorrow, and Goatwhore, Skeletonwitch, Saviours and Kataklysm. OZZFest marks the first concerts in the U.S. in connection with the June 22 release of tour founder Ozzy Osbourne's new album SCREAM (Epic Records).
Mötley Crüe's Nikki Sixx said the band couldn't refuse the offer to join the tour. "When Ozzy calls and asks you to go on tour, you say 'when do I start?' Over 25 years ago, Ozzy took Mötley Crüe on, what some say, was one of the greatest tours in rock history. When he asked us to co-headline OZZFest with him this year, we were flattered and ecstatic. It is an honor and a privilege to share the stage with him again and I can guarantee that Mötley Crüe will rip out the jugular of every audience in every city this summer."
"I am very excited Halford will be performing, and to be part of this year's legendary Ozzfest lineup," shares Rob Halford. "It will be a great opportunity for the Halford band to be reintroduced to the Metal communities."
OZZFest will be the first opportunity for many to experience Ozzy's new guitarist Gus G. At the same time, former Ozzy guitarist Zakk Wylde will be featured at OZZFest, taking the stage as the Black Label Society frontman. "We're looking forward to kicking some serious ass as the second stage headliners on OZZFest this summer. Thank you to Mom and Dad for again including Black Label Society on the line-up. We can't wait to play slammin' new songs from Order Of The Black as well as BLS classics. For all those who bleed Black Label, we will see you soon!"
Nonpoint lead singer Elias Soriano is ready and eager to join the ranks of the main stage, "Nonpoint played OZZfest almost 10 years ago for the first time on the second stage and it was one of my proudest moments as a member of this band. Now to be invited not only to play again, but on the main stage is an honor. This is an opportunity for Nonpoint to put on the performance of our career. Strap up, bear down and prepare for the eruption – it's on, OZZfest!"
DevilDriver's Dez Fafara agrees, "OZZFest! It's beyond an honor to be asked back yet again to the mothership of all summer concerts. There's not a better time-honored tradition. It's a Rock 'n' Roll, sundrenched, rile up and fire up, rip-roaring, rowdy, 'keep your horns up in the air at all times,' full-day summer festival of killer music and good times. And DevilDriver is gonna be there to CRUSH the main stage. Come join us at what will no doubt be the landmark of the year and the best fucking time you'll have all summer."
Drowning Pool will make their fourth return to the earth-shattering tour. "All of us in Drowning Pool couldn't be more excited that we're playing OZZFest again this year. It's such a great honor and a privilege to be part of Sharon and Ozzy's OZZFest family," says guitarist CJ Pierce. "Every tour we've done with OZZFest has always had such a great mix of bands. I'm looking forward not only playing the show but watching all the other bands as well. We can't wait to rock out with all our friends, fans, and family again. See you out there at the show!"
Ben Falgoust of GOATWHORE is excited to perform amongst all the other talented musicians. "First and foremost, it's incredible to be on the same fest with legends like Ozzy Osbourne, Rob Halford and Motley Crue. Secondly, there is a damn fine mixture of the most influential classic metal bands/people on the main stage and some of the most extreme bands to grace the second stage of OZZFest since its conception. Also, I would like to say it will be a quite insane, fun and outrageous time with our friends in Skeletonwitch, Kingdom Of Sorrow, DevilDriver, Black Label Society, Saviors, and so on. So, if you can make it out you should or sit at home and jerk off to she-male videos. Your choice."
"It just wasn't summer without Ozzfest so I couldn't be happier that it's back and ready to destroy," Kingdom of Sorrow's Jamey Jasta shares. "Kingdom Of Sorrow is pumped to be playing, see you in the pit!"
While Kingdom of Sorrow isn't able to perform the August 14 San Bernardino date, Exodus will be filling in for them. Guitarist Gary Holt says, "We are WAY more than fired up to announce that EXODUS will be playing the SoCal date on OZZFest! We were asked if we wanted to jump in, and we said 'fuck yes!' See everybody there!"
Scott Hedrick, guitarist for Skeletonwitch, is grateful and honored to be on the six-date tour. "We can't fucking wait for OZZFest!! Every band starts somewhere and the first Skeletonwitch show was on a stage we built in our front yard. You can bet your ass we didn't see this coming back then. Haha! It's quite an honor and a great opportunity for us to be a part of the longest running heavy music festival in America. I mean Ozzy?! Rob fucking Halford!? To make it even better, we get to do it with our great friends in Goatwhore and Saviours. Thanks to everyone who has supported us and enabled us to do what we love. It's truly appreciated."
Scott Batiste of Saviours shares that sentiment. "Hitting the road with Ozzy, Motley Crüe and Halford is not something we'd ever expect to be doing but we're ready to bring our filthy breed of raging metal to a lot of new heads! Having our friends in Skeletonwitch and Goatwhore along for the ride is going to make for a seriously demented trip and some fucking good times! We'll see you in August!"
"We are grateful that Kataklysm is about to turn the clock next year to 20 years of existence," says frontman Maurizio Iacono. "Through good and bad times, we've stayed strong and remained a leading force in the underground, but I never in my life thought I would be on tour with Ozzy or Mötley Crüe while being in an extreme band. One can't help but feel amazed when legends take notice and invite you to participate on one of the world's most important tours: OZZFfest. Thanks, of course, to the Osbournes and their organization for this great opportunity. I wanna sincerely say 'thank you' to our fans for being there for us and giving us a chance through their support to make Kataklysm a legacy. Even more important, we're here to party hard with you guys! This is a lifestyle and we should all unite at Ozzfest to celebrate this privilege of being metalheads!"
In addition to non-stop music on both stages, concert-goers can once again visit the OZZFest "Village of the Damned" featuring a mix of interactive activities, shopping and entertainment throughout the venue concourses.
All six dates of the explosive Live Nation produced tour will feature "all-in ticket pricing" which means there are no hidden fees whatsoever--no parking charges at the shows, no facility or surcharge fees--the price you see is the price you pay. Tickets prices start as low as $30 per ticket when purchased in a 4-pack. For complete ticket and tour information visit: www.OZZFest.com and www.LiveNation.com.

“some of the purest metal that 2009 will bear witness to.” Outburn Magazine
“This is the catchiest album Goatwhore have ever released.” MetalSucks.net
“Carving Out The Eyes Of God is one of our top-3 releases of 2009. Hands down.” TheGauntlet.com
“The 10 track could make even the most stubborn Nordic black metal fans squirm, as the stabbing and slashing guitars and Ben Falgoust’s dark sermon growling never have sounded better.” The Daily News McKeesport
“GOATWHORE have gone above expectations this time around…destined to be their version of The Blackening by MACHINE HEAD for their genre as they have perfected their art and this album will turn up in many ‘Best Of’ lists for 2009!” perfect 10/10, SMNnews.com
“Carving Out The Eyes Of God represents GOATWHORE immediately at their most lethal and unconventional and comes with high recommendations.” MetalEater.com
“heavier and even more blasphemous” 3.5/4 skulls, Fangoria.com
“Goatwhore finally captured the power of their live performance on disc…by far the bands best effort to date.” GASPetc.com
BEHEMOTH
“stripped-down and explosive” About.com’s #2 album of August 2009
“Behemoth are unstoppable.” DecibelMagazine.com
“their ultimate masterpiece” 4/4 skulls, Fangoria.com
“a trve masterpiece” Ultimate-Guitar.com
“They’re just as violent as they’ve ever been, and have become masters of synergy in ways lesser bands will never come close to achieving.” MetalReview.com
“It sounds like it took heartfelt effort instead of simple force and rage alone, but at the same time refraining from treading into overdone, hokey self-consumption. It brings on an almost physical reaction rather than just an aural sensation, and that’s very commendable.” MetalReview.com
“Behemoth produce some of the most technical, intelligent, and turbulent Metal available in today's market…they're firmly cemented among the extreme Metal elite.” Metal-Rules.com
“Intelligently manifested, well-researched works…nine albums into his mission, Nergal’s inner flame is nowhere near extinguished, which can either be a terrifying or tantalizing thought.” The Daily News McKeesport
“If these guys aren't the current kings of extreme metal, I don't know who is.” 10/10, Live-Metal.net
JOB FOR A COWBOY
“Ruination mixes tech-death precision with expressionist hardcore rage quite ably, and marks Job For A Cowboy as a band fully deserving their success.” 4/5 stars, Alternative Press Magazine
“Ruination, their sophomore full-length, sees Job For A Cowboy out to silence their detractors with sheer blunt force trauma, every track precisely honed and crushingly heavy in execution.” Outburn Magazine
"JOB FOR A COWBOY just keeps getting better and better.” The Onion
“It’s frightening, dangerous and short, and instead of just throwing sh*t against the studio wall and seeing how it sticks, JFAC are actually art-chitects of a technical and transgressive style of music.” ultimate-guitar.com
“…riffs and pummeling double-bass rhythms combine the intricacy of Decapitated with the raw fury of Darkest Hour.” AltPress.com
“an extremely well written and powerful album of pure Death Metal dominance.” Fangoria.com
“they came out like a 'roid-ragin' cage-fighter with "Ruination"; a far more focused and schooled effort than its predecessor.” Blabbermouth.net
“As with any band, it’s great to be able to blast ahead at breakneck speed, but knowing when to pull it back, find the hole, and fill it with something tasteful is when a band truly learns the art of songwriting and the young lads of JFAC have learned this at an early age.” SMNnews.com
“Ruination is a much more violent effort than Job for a Cowboy's debut.” Live-Metal.net
“with Ruination, Job For A Cowboy’s musical prowess has caught up with the hype.” about.com
“Ruination is 100%, grade-A death metal.” MetalUnderground.com

Goatwhore joins forces with DevilDriver and Suffocation on “Bound By The Road” tour in 2010!
The mighty Goatwhore will be returning to the road in 2010 with veteran metal icons, DevilDriver and Suffocation! This will be their first tour back in North America following their upcoming European tour and is continuing the support for what is fast becoming their defining album, Carving Out The Eyes Of God. The Onion’s avclub.com declares Carving… as one of the top 30 metal albums of the decade and comments: “Ben Falgoust’s vocals and lyrics go way, way over the top, and Sammy Duet’s guitars sound more savage than ever. Both a culmination and a progression, Goatwhore reminds listeners why metal has a reputation for being terrifying.”
And, as always, Goatwhore will be equipped with their always tight, always furious, engaging live show, led by Ben Falgoust’s commanding presence and Sammy Duet’s one-man guitar attack. Zack Simmons’ on drums and new addition, James Harvey on bass, provide one of the tightest and most caustic rhythm sections in metal. This will be a tour not to miss.

GOATWHORE Hits Billboard Top 200 Chart with New Album ‘Carving Out the Eyes of God’!
Los Angeles, CA – July 2, 2009 – New Orleans, LA’s sons of American no-frills black metal meets death and roll, GOATWHORE, have just broke the Billboard Top 200 chart with their latest release Carving Out the Eyes of God, coming in at #190! In addition to hitting the Top 200 Chart, Carving Out the Eyes of God also debuted on the Billboard Hard Music chart at #33, the Billboard Top New Artist (Heatseekers) Albums chart at #16, and the Billboard Top Independent Albums chart at #34. GOATWHORE also carved out a spot for themselves on Canada’s charts coming in at #48 on Independent chart and #79 on Hard chart.
BILLBOARD TOP 200 Debut @ #190
Billboard Hard Music Debut @ #33
Billboard Top New Artist (Heatseekers) Albums Debut @ #16
Billboard Top Independent Albums Debut @ #34
Fresh off a successful US tour as direct support to pagan-loving label-mates Amon Amarth, Goatwhore has now teamed up with Abigail Williams for the Conquer & Curse Tour 2009, which will cover over 60 dates throughout North America. Joining the tour will be Daath, Abysmal Dawn and Success Will Write Apocalypse Across The Sky. From there, the band will embark on another US jaunt with Obituary through the fall.
In an oversaturated metal landscape where sub-genres spawn sub-sub-genres and the very definition of “metal” seems blurred by cross-pollinating madness, sacred are the bands who stay true to their roots. Goatwhore spew the sort of sinister, fist-clenching, speaker-searing sound that made metal so forbiddingly enticing in the first place. The year of the ‘Whore is truly upon us! Carving out the Eyes of God was released June 23rd, 2009.
“Their most varied record to date. Songs sear with an old-school, punk propelled urgency that comes from years of Motorhead, Venom, and Hellhammer worship.” 4/5 Revolver Magazine
“the band’s tightest, most guitar-driven offering to date. An unholy smorgasbord of rigid tempo shifts, gargantuan hooks, blasting black mass anthems and Falgoust’s soot and venom snarl…” Decibel Magazine
“…one of 2009's purest metal albums, one that could very well end up to be considered the quartet's watershed release…nefariously black and sadistically thrashing in a way that is uniquely GOATWHORE.” Blabbermouth.net
GOATWHORE is:
Ben Falgoust - vocals
Sammy Duet - guitar
Nathan Bergeron - bass
Zack Simmons – drums

GOATWHORE announces ‘Carving Out the Eyes of God’ as the title of their new studio album
New Orleans, LA’s sons of American no-frills black metal, GOATWHORE, have just announced that the title of their fourth full-length album, and second for Metal Blade, will be Carving Out the Eyes of God. For the follow up to 2006’s A Haunting Curse, GOATWHORE headed back to St. Petersburg, FL to record with producer Erik Rutan at Manna Studios with mastering being handled by Alan Douches of West West Side.
Vocalist Ben Falgoust comments on the direction of the new album; “I don't really know how to explain this. I don't want to come off with the typical speech about how this record is our best yet and all of that. I will say that I am quite pleased how it has turned out and all parts relating to it. I feel every member put a great deal of effort into their part of the project. I even feel Erik Rutan busted his ass even more this time to make us feel that we didn't take any steps backwards in the recording and production of this release…I don't even really care what the critics say. I think the end result is basically coming up with something you have put a lot of work into and the satisfaction achieved in completing it. I will say that the new material is ripping metal and we still have that ‘Goatwhore’ sound, whatever that may mean for each individual that enjoys or hates what we do. Just look at it as another step in the evolution of this band. Each person that hears it will have his or her own perception of it. Like it or not, we don't have a say in it. The only thing we can do is just keep writing the way we do and accept the criticism. Doesn't mean we are gonna listen to the criticism and change. Just give it an honest listen and if you dig it, awesome! If you don't, then pass it on to a friend or use it as a new drink coaster.”
Guitarist Sammy Duet had this to add; “Dark, heavy, evil. Erik Rutan did one hell of a job on it. If you don't like it…kiss my ass.”
Track listing to Carving Out the Eyes of God:
1. Apocalyptic Havoc
2. The All-Destroying
