FATES WARNING to play home town show with "Parallels" era lineup June 4th!
As many of you already know, or have seen in person at the other shows this year, FATES WARNING is playing a few select shows to celebrate the re-issue of their classic album, Parallels. The lineup includes, of course, Jim Matheos, Frank Aresti, Ray Alder as well as original drummer Mark Zonder and bassist, Joe DiBiase. These shows are special events where the band will be playing Parallels in its entirety as well as a few other select songs from the vast FATES WARNING catalogue.
Jim Matheos comments: "We're looking forward to returning to Hartford on June 4. It's been 15 years since this lineup has played together and we're excited to be bringing this special reunion show to our hometown for friends, family, and fans." Frank Aresti adds, "We're celebrating the re-release of our most successful album, Parallels, this year. It's fitting that Hartford will be one of only four US shows (the others being Los Angeles, San Antonio, and Houston) to commemorate this special occasion."
Fans can watch the trailer for the bonus dvd that comes with this deluxe re-issue of Parallels now on MetalBlade.tv. The album is available for purchase on MetalBladeStore.com.

Fates Warning to release deluxe edition of “Parallels” on March 16th, 2010!
Fates Warning has announced the release of the deluxe edition of their seminal 1991 album, Parallels! Fans can get their hands on this new take on the album on March 16th, 2010. The deluxe edition has been completely re-mastered and contains well over 3 hours of music and live footage. Parallels is the sixth record from the prog metal pioneers and was one of their music successful releases due to the commercial success of the singles Eye To Eye, Point Of View and We Only Say Goodbye. Also, James LaBrie of Dream Theater fame makes a guest appearance on the track Life In Still Water. Parallels has proven to be one of the most influential albums in the prog and metal genres, despite its hotly debated status among fans as a "commercial" sounding album.
Vocalist Ray Alder comments further, "I think it’s one of the best albums we ever put out and I’m happy that fans have the chance to take a second look at this important record. The lineup, the songs and the cover art all came together to make a great package when originally recorded and the bonus DVD really adds a fresh perspective to the album."
