Falconer: Metal Injection premieres new music video "By the Roses Grave"
Band creates English version of 'Vid Rosornas Grav' for video
AGOURA HILLS, Calif. – July 11, 2011 – Starting today Metal Injection is hosting the worldwide premiere of By the Roses Grave from Swedish folk metallers FALCONER. By the Roses Grave (Vid Rosornas Grav) is taken off the bands brand new studio album Armod, which features 11 songs sung completely in Swedish and was released earlier this month via Metal Blade Records.
Check out the video HERE!
Comments FALCONER guitarist Stefan Weinerhall: "The video for By the Roses Grave is re-enacting a story that took place not far from where we live. It gives you a vision of what position you would have 150 years ago if you were just a common man or serf.
It surely doesn't look like a metal video in the beginning but then again, when have Falconer ever been about being as metal as possible? The video is once again produced and directed by www.1897.se - they also did the video for Carnival of Disgust."
Fans can check out the original version of this fascinating video, which is sung in Swedish, at the METAL HAMMER website.

Swedish folk metallers FALCONER launch second single off their seventh album 'Armod' exclusively via German Metal Hammer!
Swedish folk metallers FALCONER have launched their second single 'O, tysta ensamhet' taken off their brand new studio album Armod via German Metal Hammer.
Please surf over to METAL HAMMER to check out 'O, tysta ensamhet'!
FALCONER will release their seventh studio album Armod on June 7th via Metal Blade Records in North America!
Comments FALCONER guitarist Stefan Weinerhall: "The album is embracing the Swedish folk music to a greater extent than before making it sound slightly more down to earth. The music spans from acoustic songs with cello, flute and fiddle to songs with blast beats and really heavy riffing. As said before this is a 'one-time-only' album and does not define the future sound of FALCONER, but it was about time to pay full notice to the influence that has always made us different. Now we have that out of our system!"

FALCONER begins recording new album 'Armod'!
Guitarist Stefan Weinerhall of the Swedish metal band FALCONER has issued the following update:
"FALCONER has now begun the recording of its new album Armod at Andy La Rocque's (KING DIAMOND) Sonic Train Studios in Varberg, Sweden. Our drummer Karsten Larsson, who is the first one to be recorded, thinks this may be his best session ever. The vibe is really awesome!"
According to Weinerhall, Armod "will be completely sung in Swedish except for the bonus tracks that will simply be English versions of the best (according to us) new songs. This time we have concentrated on the traditional folk side of our music including more traditional folk songs (the majority of the material is still our own), more fiddles and flutes.
This is a way to finally devoting an entire album to the influences and getting that out of our system, so to speak, and to do the thing some have asked for during ten years. This is not the new direction of us but just the sound of THIS album."
