Comments guitarist Josh James: "Going to Europe is like Christmas morning - you never know what's going to happen but you know it's going to be awesome and better than what you already have. It's refreshing to leave our own country and go to so many countries in Europe that really are dedicated to the music they love. Our good friends in Stick To Your Guns are coming over with us this Summer so make sure to show them a killer time, if you haven't heard STYG then get ready to be blown away, this will definitely be a memorable ET tour! EVERGREEN TERRACE announces "A Weekend of Florida Terror" and hometown end of the year show!
Evergreen Terrace has recently announced that they will be playing a string of dates across Florida with several other Florida-based bands in tow. Florida is passed over by a lot of tours, so the band decided to play shows specifically for their home state fans!

Guitarist Josh James explains further: "It's strange to think that even though we tour 9 months out of the year we rarely get to play Florida. This state has a great scene, amazing bands and mostly importantly it's our home. In early December we will head out for a weekend trip with our friends Casey Jones and Boys No Good to explore some of these scenes and to catch some great local bands. Later in the month we will be participating in Jack Rabbit's infamous 12 Days of Christmas event in Jacksonville. It's been almost a year since we've played our hometown. The show has an amazing lineup featuring Kids Like Us, His Name Was Iron, a rad band from Tallahassee called Livid and a new local Jacksonville band called Atlas. Remember, the best way to support your scene is by attending local shows and supporting not only touring bands but local ones as well. We look forward to seeing old and new faces at these shows and closing out 2011 in a memorable way."

New Evergreen Terrace videos from Australia and SXSW available; on Thrash And Burn Tour this summer!
Evergreen Terrace posts Australian tour video and sidewalk moshing video!

The perpetually-hilarious members of Evergreen Terrace recently returned from touring in Australia with Casey Jones on the "Cheer Up Emu Kid" tour. In what has become an Evergreen Terrace tradition, a side-splitting tour wrap up video has been posted that highlights some of the more ridiculous moments of the tour. Among other things, they eat Kangaroo shit, almost get murdered and get their hands on some Horny Goat Weed - all that and more can be seen now on MetalBlade.tv HERE.

Evergreen Terrace played SXSW in Austin, TX earlier this year and guitarist Josh James hosted a segment for Metal Blade TV that showcased a phenomenon unique to metal and hardcore: moshing. In this video, Josh James interviews and does play-by-play for some moshers and Dennis from Alesana unveils his new mosh move, "The Care Bear". Check it out HERE!

Evergreen Terrace will be spending part of their summer as part of this year's Thrash And Burn Tour alongside Asking Alexandria, Kittie, Born Of Osiris, Impending Doom and more! Josh James adds, "We decided to not play last so we could have plenty of time to party. Most of the thrashing will be done with Craig and Drew at the bar. The burning however will hopefully happen while we're on stage."

Evergreen Terrace announces track listing for new album, “Almost Home”
Almost Home out September 29th on Metal Blade; On tour with Emmure starting 9/2

Jacksonville, FL’s Evergreen Terrace have announced the track listing for their upcoming full length, Almost Home, due out September 29th on Metal Blade Records. "We've always had a lot of pop culture references in our song titles and this record is no exception. Before we even started writing new songs we already have a list of titles from books, movies, and comedians. Half of the song titles on this record are pulled from the lyrics. The others are pop culture references that relate to the lyrical content." Guitarist Josh James said.

Almost Home track listing:
1. Enemy Sex
2. Almost Home (III)
3. God Rocky is This Your Face?
4. We're Always Losing Blood
5. Sending Signals
6. Mario Speedwagon
7. Failure to Operate
8. Hopelessly Hopeless
9. The Letdown
10. I'm a Bulletproof Tiger
11. Not Good Enough

Splitting the recording process of the album in half, they tracked all the music at Martell Studios and all of the vocals were recorded by Audio Hammer Studios (August Burns Red, Bury Your Dead, Trivium).

Continuing their blistering combination of melodic hardcore and metal, Evergreen Terrace has gone back to their roots for Almost Home. “I think this record will surprise the new listeners as well as have the old ones stoked. I'd say its best described as a good mixture of Burned Alive by Time and Wolfbiker.” comments James.

With a new record coming out, Evergreen Terrace has taken their album title into consideration and hit the road again. The band will be out on the road with Emmure as part of the Hard Knock Life tour for the entire month of September, with dates running from September 2nd through September 29th. Also on the tour are Stick to Your Guns, For Today, and Oceano.

"My brother Caleb, who plays with me in Casey Jones, will be filling in on drums on this tour while Kyle is recovering from his bike accident. We're excited about playing cities that we've never played, as well as heading back out west to play some places we haven't been to since Warped Tour 2008. We're really pumped to push the new record and play some new songs." James commented.

The band will end the tour Oct 3rd with a headlining CD release show in Jacksonville with an all star line up including The Chariot, Burden of a Day, Casey Jones, Thick As Blood and Hello Danger.

Evergreen Terrace drummer Kyle Mims back in hospital
Unfortunately we have some bad news. Although Kyle's surgery for his shoulder went smooth, he is back in the hospital with a blood clot in his lung, otherwise known as a pulmonary embolism.

It is pretty serious. His family is still accepting donations for medical costs. Kyle was just a few weeks away from qualifying for health insurance through his work before this accident.

His medical bills have become insanely expensive. Anything you can do to help is much appreciated by Kyle, his family and Evergreen Terrace.

Evergreen Terrace to post first single, launch new myspace
Jacksonville, Florida’s Evergreen Terrace have posted the first single from their upcoming full length, Almost Home. Enemy Sex is now available for fans to stream on the band’s myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/evergreenterrace.

Speaking on the significance of the new album’s title, James says, “We are a touring band, and it feels like we are forever saying we're ‘almost home.’ Touring is something that nothing compares to, but there's a feeling of almost being home that resonates with all of us. In a way the band has come full circle back to its original home. We started this band for fun, and it lead us to success. Writing this album has brought us back to the beginning. It has been fun, crazy, frustrating, insomniatic and even with the inevitable pressure, pretty carefree.”

Almost Home is the band’s 6th studio album and will be available everywhere on September 29th.

Evergreen Terrace’s drummer, Kyle Mims, was recently injured in a bike accident and suffered a broken collar bone.

“On July 2nd, Kyle went back to the doctors and they told him that if he wants to continue to play drums he will have to have surgery. The surgery will cost him $10,000. They require $5,000 up front and the other $5,000 once the surgery is complete. His emergency room bills, tests, ambulance ride, etc. is estimated to be an additional $10,000. He was very close to receiving health insurance thru his work, but unfortunately this happened before it did.

Kyle's mom and stepdad (Stacy and Mark Earle) have set up a donation site if you are interested. If not, then please keep him in your thoughts.” - Evergreen Terrace

Evergreen Terrace drummer Kyle Mims injured in bike accident
This just in from Evergreen Terrace:

“After yesterday's practice, Kyle (drummer) was in a horrific bike accident. He was rushed to the emergency room and released late last night full of stitches and a broken clavicle (collar bone). Unfortunately he will have to have surgery and physical therapy for the next 4-8 weeks. So for obvious reasons he will not be with us on our upcoming headlining shows or the Summer Slob tour with The Acacia Strain. Please wish Kyle a quick recovery. He's pretty bummed out.

Caleb James, our long time roadie and drummer for Casey Jones, will be taking over drum duties for now. Check out all dates on our myspace.

Here's a picture of Kyle after they brought him back to life.”

Evergreen Terrace reveals album title, post studio update
Evergreen Terrace is hard(ly) at work tracking the music for, Almost Home, their follow up to 2007’s critically acclaimed, Wolfbiker. The band has just uploaded the first video studio update. Watch the video on youtube.com HERE.

Josh James comments: "We are almost finished tracking the music for our new record titled Almost Home and let me be the first to say that this record is not going to suck! Next week we head down to Audio Hammer Studios in Orlando, FL to start laying down vocals with metal mastermind, Jason Suecof. We are currently working on some US and European tour dates so keep your ears/eyes open. If you live on Earth then we might be coming near your town once this record comes, and if you don't live on Earth, then you're an alien and probably eat cats. And PETA freaks out when you eat cats. Trust me, it's ok to eat donuts but not dog nuts, that’s hypocrisy."

- Josh/Evergreen Terrace

"PS: Evergreen Terrace supports People for the Ethical Treatment of Assholes. Assholes have feelings too."

EVERGREEN TERRACE announces album title – set to enter the studio this week!
(Los Angeles, CA) – April 27th 2009 – Jacksonville, FL hardcore act EVERGREEN TERRACE is pleased to announce Almost Home as the title of their upcoming release and follow up to 2007’s Wolfbiker. The band is now geared up to enter Audio Hammer Studios in Orlando, FL with Jason Suecof (Trivium, The Black Dahlia Murder, Job for a Cowboy) who will be recording vocals and handling mixing with the rest of the recording taking place with Stan Martell at Martell Studios in Kingsland, GA. Almost Home is set for a September release.

Here’s what guitarist Josh James has to say; “Crunch time has now approached us, with just 1 week before we go into the studio. As always, we've given a lot and gone through even more during this writing period. From a member of the band leaving to a death in the family: we have accepted the changes that have come and gone in our lives and it all shows in this next batch of songs. I think this record will surprise the new listeners as well as have the old ones stoked. I'd say its best described as a good mixture of Burned Alive by Time and Wolfbiker, but of course, like every band says, ‘it's the best record we've done yet!’ If you already hate our band then chances are you'll hate this record, if you already love our band then be prepared to have a new favorite ET record. Regardless, we're stoked.”

Musically, EVERGREEN TERRACE takes cues from no other. The band transitions effortlessly from fast, powerful heavy hardcore to melodic punk rock. This has allowed them to tour with a diverse group since their start in late 1999 including As I Lay Dying, Strung Out, Norma Jean, Every Time I Die, Hatebreed, Thursday, Gwar and a spot on the coveted Vans Warped Tour (2008) where the band played with Against Me!, All That Remains, Angels and Airwaves, Cobra Starship, Reel Big Fish, Rise Against, A Day To Remember, and many more.

Stay tuned to the bands website and MetalBlade.com for studio updates.

“…a riveting back-and-forth between lead screamer Andrew Carey and the guitar shrieks of axemen Craig Chaney and Joshua James, proof that some vocalists and bands are meant for each other…melody, intensity, positive attitude…” - Decibel

“Wolfbiker the album is indeed badass metalcore, and as a band, Evergreen Terrace takes a step forward…a big and boastful, fraternal, brothers in arms chant that could have filled CBGBs 10 years ago.” - Outburn

“Wolfbiker, the first release from the quintet’s new home, Metal Blade, is the epitome of everything the band stands for: being yourself, doing what you want, and, of course, finding happiness.” – Alternative Press

Evergreen Terrace issues update on bassists departure and upcoming recording schedule
Josh James of Evergreen Terrace has issued on update on their Australian tour, their upcoming recording schedule and the departure of bassist Jason Southwell.

"We have returned from the mighty Soundwave tour in Australia and have some great news for you guys, I’ll just number them out for you:

1. Soundwave ruled, thanks to everyone who checked us out. A huge thanks to all the bands that weren't assholes, you know who you are. We can't wait to get back to Australia and promise that it won't be another 2 years like last time. We will be posting a short video on our myspace and on youtube in the next week or so with footage from the tour.

2. After 9 years and some change of Evergreen Terrace, Jason Southwell has decided to leave the band. Farewell to Jason! We are currently looking for someone to hire for tours. If you are interested then please send a video, or link, of yourself singing, playing bass, and jamming out live to: evergreenterracebass@gmail.com

3. Craig, Kyle, and I have been busy writing new jams for a new record. As of right now it looks like we will be getting into the studio around May, to have a late summer/early fall release. More news on that when we find out why it smells like shit by the beach.

I think that's it, I’m going to go divorce my parents now.
