ENGINEER
"The Dregs"
RELEASED: 07.10.2007
Engineer was formed in mid 2003 by 4 like-minded individuals (three of them being brothers) with one goal in mind; to push the musical boundaries of each other while maintaining a strong sense of integrity. Engineer first entered the studio in October of 2003 to record "Suffocation of the Artisan" with Doug White at Watchmen Studios. It was released on Four Leaf Recordings March 23rd, 2004. During and after this release, Engineer began touring with such bands as Ed Gein (winter 2003) and Achilles (summer 2004). Upon their return home, Engineer was anxious to record new material.

In May of 2004, Engineer met Mike Hill (BlackBox Records) after playing a show with Anodyne. Discussions soon followed of releasing a split 7" with a band from Germany, McCarthy Blacklist. Engineer later entered Watchmen Studios in August of 2004 to record a few songs with Doug White. The tracks "Bottom Feeders" and "Impact in 5..." ended up on a split 7" with McCarthy Blacklist on BlackBox Records later released in March of 2005.

Following the Engineer/Achilles tour in the summer of 2004, it was decided between the bands to collaborate and release a split cd. After talking with Ryan Hex (Hex Records - Syracuse, NY), he agreed to put the split out on Hex. Engineer then entered More Sound Studios (Syracuse, NY) to record their side of the split. With Jocko Randall at the board, 6 tracks were recorded and released on a double-disk split with Achilles (Rochester, NY). It was released on Hex Records and hit the streets on January 15th, 2005. Ever since this release, Engineer has been touring non-stop and working towards their ever-looming full length debut on Hex Records.

In September/October 2005, Engineer entered Head Bangin' Kill Your Mama Music in Louisville, Kentucky to record their full length "Reproach". With Chris Owens (of Lords) at the Helm, everything Engineer has worked towards up until this point, was recorded in a work of nine parts and was released February 12th of 2006 on Hex Records. Expect everything from Engineer from this point on to be nothing short of their original goal, and to surpass their musical boundaries every step of the way. Engineer will enter More Sounds Studios with producer Jocko late December 2006/ early January 2007.
