CATTLE DECAPITATION
"Monolith of Inhumanity"
RELEASED: 05.08.2012
CATTLE DECAPITATION: First-Week Chart Numbers Revealed
Monolith Of Inhumanity, the latest slab of sonic annihilation from California progressive grind tyrants CATTLE DECAPITATION, landed at #32 on the Billboard Top Independent Album Chart, #23 on the Billboard Top Hard Music Albums chart, #6 on the Billboard New Artist Chart and #177 Billboard Top Current Albums Chart upon its first week of release! In Canada the record ranked in at #41 on the Hard Music Chart as well as #4 in the metal category and #71 in the rock category on iTunes.

The Dave Otero–produced Monolith Of Inhumanity was released on May 8, 2012 via Metal Blade Records. Conceptually, the record revolves around a potent distaste for contemporary civilization and the damage wrought in the name of progress. In addition, Monolith Of Inhumanity features guest appearances by Mike Majewski of Devourment (guest vocals on "Projectile Ovulation"), Lenard Leal of Cephalic Carnage (backing vocals by on "A Living, Breathing Piece of Defecating Meat"), The Cephalic Carnage Community Men's Choir, consisting of all current Cephalic members and alumni Jawsh Mullen and Zac Joe (gang choir vocals on "The Carbon Stampede"), and ambient and noise interludes by Los Angeles' most extreme decimator of sound, John Wiese.

An apocalyptic gem among fans and critics stateside and abroad, Blistering calls Monolith Of Inhumanity "…arguably the quartet's strongest effort to date," Stereokiller champions the band calling the record "another solid CATTLE DECAP release that proves again that they are not to be fucked with," Revolver notes that that band here "shred harder than ever but with lots of cool twists…" while About.com boasts: "CATTLE DECAPITATION have merged into an intoxicating death metal group, doing what is necessary to slam faces into the wall, but doing so in a tender and passionate manner." Metal Injection agrees: "…the diversity present here will stand the test of time as well as anything the Cali quartet have ever done. As icing on the cake, Otero gives the album a virtually flawless production: everything sounds fantastic, from Travis Ryan's pliable vocals to the tight snap of the drums."

CATTLE DECAPITATION are currently finishing up the Occupation Domination 2012 tour alongside Origin, Decrepit Birth, Aborted, Rings Of Saturn, Battlecross and more. They'll continue their onstage takeover with some one-off shows before heading out on this Summer's Shockwave Festival Tour 2012, announced earlier this month. CATTLE DECAPITATION will be joined by Fear Factory, Voivod, Misery Index, Revocation, Havok, Dirge Within, Last Chance To Reason, Vildhjarta, The Browning and Forged In Flame. Tickets are on sale NOW at THIS LOCATION.

CATTLE DECAPITATION: More In-Studio Video Footage Posted
Today CATTLE DECAPITATION wants to start you week with a kick in the teeth. Check out new in-studio video footage from the Monolith of Inhumanity sessions -- specifically adventures in vocal tracking and additional CATTLE-related fun -- at THIS LOCATION.

Comments vocalist Travis Ryan: ""Kids always ask me how I do my vocals and here it is... the vocals studio report for our new album Monolith of Inhumanity. As you can see, polar bear pajama pants and a really stupid haircut really help me achieve those pitches needed to push the melodic high vocals over the top. You will also find there actually are no 'pirate' influences in the studio. Nor any ninjas, vampires, zombies or Chuck Norris paraphernalia in there either so sit down, shut up and smell the farts… there's at least two of 'em in there if you listen closely…"

In related news, CATTLE DECAPITATION will sever souls on this Summer's Shockwave Festival Tour 2012, announced earlier this month. Monolith Of Inhumanity was released on May 8, 2012 via Metal Blade Records. Produced by Dave Otero of Denver's Flatline Audio, Monolith Of Inhumanity sees the band investigating inventive new techniques in songwriting without abandoning their signature formula of confrontational audio wreckage. Conceptually, the record revolves around a potent distaste for contemporary civilization and the damage wrought in the name of progress. In addition, Monolith Of Inhumanity features a host of guests including Mike Majewski of Devourment (guest vocals on "Projectile Ovulation"), Lenard Leal of Cephalic Carnage (backing vocals by on "A Living, Breathing Piece of Defecating Meat"), The Cephalic Carnage Community Men's Choir, consisting of all current Cephalic members and alumni Jawsh Mullen and Zac Joe (gang choir vocals on "The Carbon Stampede"), and ambient and noise interludes by Los Angeles' most extreme decimator of sound, John Wiese.

"CATTLE DECAPITATION have merged into an intoxicating death metal group, doing what is necessary to slam faces into the wall, but doing so in a tender and passionate manner." – About.com

"their most focused and intelligent album yet… another solid CATTLE DECAP release that proves again that they are not to be fucked with." – Stereokiller

"…arguably the quartet's strongest effort to date." – Blistering

"…the band shred harder than ever but with lots of cool twists…" — Revolver

"…solid, vicious death/grind from Cattle Decapitation that actually has purpose." – Sputnik Music

"It's useless to call Monolith of Inhumanity the band's best album: long time fans will doubtless have ingrained personal biases favoring one of its predecessors for the time being, but get over that hump in familiarity and the diversity present here will stand the test of time as well as anything the Cali quartet have ever done. As icing on the cake, Otero gives the album a virtually flawless production: everything sounds fantastic, from Travis Ryan's pliable vocals to the tight snap of the drums." – Metal Injection

CATTLE DECAPITATION Premiere "Kingdom of Tyrants" Video At Bloody Disgusting
Today premiere horror one-stop, Bloody Disgusting, hosts the exclusive premiere of "Kingdom of Tyrants" from CATTLE DECAPITATION's forthcoming Monolith Of Inhumanity studio offering. The disturbingly twisted 9-minute mini film was directed by Mitch Massie with live band footage shot in San Marcos, California by Tyson Montrucchio.

Comments singer Travis Ryan: "We've kicked around the idea of doing a mini-film out of a song that has a big intro for years now and when I saw Mitch Massie's work on one of our friends' videos, we knew he would be the one to pull it off. We had no idea he would bring it to a level such as this though. The 'Kingdom of Tyrants' mini-film completely leveled our expectations. Having given him director styles I would have liked to see used such as Matthew Barney, Harmony Korine and Ridley Scott, I still never assumed we would have received something so in line with what we had in mind for this as what you see here with this video. It's disturbing. It's thought-provoking. Its 100% CATTLE DECAPITATION and in the direction we've been heading. Massie is the man and this is by far the best video we've ever had the pleasure to be a part of."

Adds director Mitch Massie: "I acknowledge that I will rightfully burn in some subdivision of Hell for even attempting a rough tribute to Kubrick, but at least I will make Hell a home with CATTLE DECAPITATION and a few other damned risk-takers as neighbors. When Travis and I spoke about the concept it was a comforting fact that he too had reservations about picking fruits from the Kubrick tree. It wasn't until the first night of production was over and we sat down to watch the shaky rough footage when a rather sardonic thought sparked the flint that ignited the funeral pyre in me, 'fuck it, while we are here, as parts of our generation that dry-humps references in an over-saturated landfill of technological trinkets -- where nothing is sacred -- anyway, we might as well bury the rest of the masters in the filth they inspired in us and enter our homes justified. I'm a soulless ginger anyway so what do I care about these new risks of damnation when I never had a chance to begin with?' Every move made in a music video production is dictated only by the song and when listening to the 'The Monolith' and/or 'Kingdom of Tyrants' can one truly feel it is anything but a beautiful damnation? I will never know but can only hope that I married images with the song so well that the monolith may swing back around with a chance to evolve, or completely de-evolve into some foul animal, and do another damned project for this incendiary and all around amazing band."

Witness the cinematic sickness at THIS LOCATION.

An achievement that stands out as one of the most volatile, ambitious, and impossible-to-pigeonhole records of 2012, Monolith Of Inhumanity is set for a North American release on May 8, 2012. Produced by Dave Otero of Denver's Flatline Audio, the 11-track recording sees the progressive grind purveyors exploring innovative new techniques in song writing without abandoning their signature formula of confrontational audio wreckage. As with all of the band's releases, Monolith Of Inhumanity revolves around a central concept, building upon Ryan's potent distaste for contemporary civilization and the damage wrought in the name of progress. A concept inspired in part by 2001: A Space Odyssey is once again captured in the cover art by longtime collaborator Wes Benscoter, depicting a bleak apocalyptic future and the regression of mankind into apes.

CATTLE DECAPITATION release second single 'Lifestalker' exclusively via website of Metal Hammer Germany!
Today California progressive grind conquerors CATTLE DECAPITATION release Lifestalker, the second single of their new album Monolith Of Inhumanity!

Set for release on May, 8th, 2012, the record was produced by Dave Otero of Denver's Flatline Audio and sees the band exploring innovative new techniques in song writing without abandoning their signature formula of confrontational audio wreckage and self-loathing lyrical content.

Vocalist Travis Ryan adds: "We just returned from a great European tour where we played a ton of new songs which were received extremely well by everyone over there! So much so that we decided to premiere the second sample track of our new album Monolith of Inhumanity on a European website for all our fans and the new fans we just made during this last tour! We had a blast and we hope you all get a kick out of the new track "Lifestalker". This new album is light years ahead of the rest of our albums and we look forward to coming back to Europe to decapitate you all with it!"

Check out Lifestalker at THIS LOCATION.

Monolith Of Inhumanity is an achievement that stands out as one of the most volatile, ambitious, and impossible to aptly categorize records you will hear in 2012. Dragging their ever-evolving deathgrind sound kicking and screaming into the epic territory inhabited by the likes of Dimmu Borgir and Anaal Nathrakh, the quartet redefine all perceptions of what CATTLE DECAPITATION is. With their seventh full-length, the band have never sounded more focused, aggressive, or manically determined to get in the faces of those who erroneously believe they've already experienced the band at their extreme best.

The 11-track Monolith Of Inhumanity features a host of guests including Mike Majewski of Devourment (guest vocals on "Projectile Ovulation"), Lenard Leal of Cephalic Carnage (backing vocals by on "A Living, Breathing Piece of Defecating Meat"), The Cephalic Carnage Community Men's Choir, consisting of all current Cephalic members and alumni Jawsh Mullen and Zac Joe (gang choir vocals on "The Carbon Stampede"), and ambient and noise interludes by Los Angeles' most extreme decimator of sound, John Wiese, as well as another strikingly brutal cover by Wes Benscoter.

"CATTLE DECAPITATION have the sort of skills that put them squarely at the head of grind's noisy pack." -- MetalSucks

Check out Dave McGraw's drum demolition and behind-the-scenes studio footage as well as first single "A Living, Breathing Piece Of Defecating Meat," at THIS LOCATION.

In addition, CATTLE DECAPITATION collaborated with famed pop culture artist Tom Bunk, best known for his work for the 1980s Garbage Pail Kids trading cards and MAD Magazine, for a very special art project. Bunk was gracious enough to create individual pieces of art for each member of the band, heavily influenced by and practically just as they appeared in the Garbage Pail Kids series of the '80s! A GPK-inspired CATTLE DECAPITATION trading card set and T-shirts are included with special limited pre-order packages and collector's bundles. More info available HERE.

CATTLE DECAPITATION recently returned from the successful Reborn of Death European Tour with Suffocation, Blood Red Throne, Cerebral Bore, Adimiron, Sadist and Ulvedharr and will take a short break before heading out on the Occupation Domination 2012 with Origin, Decrepit Birth, Aborted, Rings Of Saturn, Battlecross and more!

CATTLE DECAPITATION announce new album, "Monolith of Inhumanity"
New song, "A Living, Breathing Piece of Defecating Meat", now on-line

Three years have lapsed since society has been spewed upon by a CATTLE DECAPITATION album. In those three years the band has toured the globe, gained a legion of new fans with said album (The Harvest Floor) and have now written their most palatable, yet abrasive record yet. Even with song titles like Projectile Ovulation, Forced Gender Re-Assignment and Gristle Licker, CATTLE DECAPITATION have managed to forge yet another beautiful deathscape that will leave fans of 2009's The Harvest Floor breathless, spent and begging for mercy.

Monolith of Inhumanity is the band's fifth studio release on Metal Blade Records, in which once again sees CATTLE DECAPITATION exploring additional techniques in song writing and musical progressions. Not straying away from the frenzied guitar playing, machine gun intensity drumming, bowel movement inducing vocals, and of course self loathing lyrical content, Monolith of Inhumanity will mark the band's most accomplished record to date. Recruiting some fresh meat in the way of Dave Otero to handle all of the studio duties, the band has accomplished what they have longed to do for an album. Adding Otero to the mix gave CATTLE DECAPITATION the missing component. Artwork is once again being handled by Wes Benscoter. The culmination of Benscoter's unearthly abilities fused with Travis Ryan's demented view have once again proven to be memorable and fitting for what the music holds in store for the listener.

CATTLE have also collaborated with famed pop culture artist Tom Bunk for a very special art project that will be available from the band's webstore. Tom is best known for his work for the 1980's Garbage Pail Kids trading cards, his work with MAD Magazine, and has created an incredible GPK inspired CATTLE DECAPITATION trading card set that must be seen to be believed. Needless to say, the collaboration between the two camps is like Jeffrey Dahmer and John Wayne Gacey being pen pals.

CATTLE DECAPITATION will continue to tour in support of Monolith of Inhumanity across the globe, starting in the USA with long time friends ORIGIN. Summer 2012 will also mark the band's first time playing European Summer Festivals.

Monolith will continue to cement CATTLE's legacy as one of the most influential and important bands in extreme music. As MetalSucks.net puts it: "Cattle Decapitation have the sort of skills that put them squarely at the head of grind's noisy pack."

The first single from Monolith of Inhumanity is available now at metalblade.com/cattledecapitation. Head there to listen to A Living, Breathing Piece of Defecating Meat to preview the depravity to come! Pre-order bundles are also available on the site and fans can keep checking back to see studio footage and more updates as they are made available.

Battlecross to hit the road as a part of the Occupation Domination 2012 Tour featuring Origin, Cattle Decapitation, Decrepit Birth, Aborted, and Rings of Saturn
The band's first single 'Push Pull Destroy' holds the #1 spot for the most requested new metal track on Sirius XM-Liquid Metal

Detroit thrashers BATTLECROSS will be hitting the road as a part of the Occupation Domination 2012 Tour featuring heavyweights Origin, Cattle Decapitation, Decrepit Birth, Aborted, and Rings of Saturn. The Occupation Domination 2012 Tour kicks off at Sonar in Baltimore, MD on April 20 and wraps up May 18 in Lawrence, KS at the Granada Theater. The Occupation Domination 2012 Tour marks BATTLECROSS' first major US tour and will see the band promoting their devastating Metal Blade debut, Pursuit of Honor, which just dropped August 02, 2011.

"Battlecross is stoked to share the stage with bands as respected as Origin, Cattle Decapitation, Decrepit Birth, Aborted, and fellow newcomers Rings of Saturn. We're thankful to have the support of Liquid Metal and fan support on YouTube. We anticipate that a lot of kids are going to come out to support the tour and we're going to thank each and every one of them! We can't wait to inject some Detroit thrash into this extremely heavy & talented lineup and make some new friends along the way. See you on the road!" Kyle 'Gumby' Gunther

In other news, on Friday February 17 BATTLECROSS landed in the #1 position of Sirius XM's the Devil's Dozen Countdown with their single 'Push Pull Destroy.' Here's what metalhead and Sirius XM-Liquid Metal DJ and Headbanger's Ball host Jose Mangin had to say about BATTLECROSS's recent feat:

"They've been stirring up our fan base since day one, clawing their way to the top of the Devil's Dozen Countdown, inciting mobile mosh pits every time they're on Liquid Metal! That's the power of straight to your core American made Metal!"

Check out the video for 'Push Pull Destroy' HERE - shot by Roy Warner Creative & Videography on location at the Yankee Air Museum, located on the grounds of the historic Willow Run Airport. It was at Willow Run where Henry Ford mobilized his manufacturing base to contribute to the war efforts by mass producing the B-24 Liberators that provided American Air Power to win WWII for the Allies.

The video was shot in front of a number of military aircraft, including a B-52 Stratofortress and a C7 Caribou with a special appearance by the B-17 Yankee Lady, one of the only ten surviving flyable B-17s in the world. The Yankee Air Museum is the home to the Yankee Lady, long considered to be the most beautifully restored of all of the remaining flyable planes.

BATTLECROSS will be playing dates leading down to and back from Austin, TX where the band will be performing a very special daytime showcase at SXSW. More details to be announced soon!

Cattle Decapitation finishes recording new album, "Occupation Domination" US tour announced
Cattle Decapitation wrapped up recording their new album last week and have returned home for a couple weeks before heading out for their European tour with Suffocation! The album was produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by Dave Otero of Denver's Flatline Audio. The humans of earth can expect a much more updated production, complete with some surprising guest appearances and the kind of musical exploration that garnered the band droves of new fans with 2009's The Harvest Floor. Once again, Cattle Decapitation gives us more extravagantly intense artwork from artist Wes Benscoter and the CD/LP layout are as over the top as the album's concept itself.

Some of the track titles on the new album include: Forced Gender Reassignment, A Living, Breathing Piece of Defecating Meat, and The Carbon Stampede. All of the details from the new album such as, cover art, track list, guest appearances, and pre-order info will be revealed in the coming months.

Cattle Decapitation is also pleased to announce their participation in the "Occupation Domination 2012 US Tour" with Origin. Vocalist Travis Ryan has posted the following update: "We're fresh out of the recording studio and are very much looking forward to dissecting the auditory canals of all who bear witness to our set on the upcoming US tour with our friends Origin! We're hitting up some areas that we haven't in a while and those who we are missing this time, not to worry… you will be seeing us back out on the road over the coming months as we support our upcoming album. We will also be focusing a lot on international touring on this new album, which will keep us away from the states for a bit, so we urge our USA fans who want to see us to be sure to mark when we're coming through their town on their calendars. We are very excited to show the world our new material and are looking forward to sharing information regarding our new album in the coming month! Stay tuned… stay GORE!"

Cattle Decapitation Begins Recording New Album!
Cattle Decapitation entered Denver, CO's FLATLINE AUDIO on January 7th to record the highly anticipated follow-up to their critically-acclaimed album The Harvest Floor (2009 on Metal Blade Records).

Front man Travis Ryan has this to say: "We spent the first two days mapping out tempos and getting things situated, drums mic'd all that stuff. Just started tracking drums today and everything is sounding great! We're excited to start laying down some tones and getting this beast finished and in the hands of our fans and friends."

The band has a small crew filming all steps of the way so fans of the band can look forward to studio video reports via the band's YOUTUBE channel and getting the full album details in the coming weeks when album title, cover image and track listing as well as immediate U.S. and European tour plans are revealed!

The new album will be the follow up to the critically acclaimed The Harvest Floor. The album is widely accepted as the band's most accomplished and best release to date. The CD garnered heaps of praise from fans and press alike.

"Lyrically and musically, The Harvest Floor is an impressive work of art…there's a sophistication to every aspect of this album that wasn't present on earlier efforts." Alternative Press Magazine

"It's a requiem in the slaughterhouse. Guts swamp the floor, and Cattle Decapitation are bursting at the seams." Decibel Magazine

"This isn't just some angry metal band, these are musicians and artists out to create something genuine or die trying." CraveOnline.com

CATTLE DECAPITATION frontman to make appearance on new SOULFLY album!
CATTLE DECAPITATION vocalist TRAVIS RYAN has recently recorded vocals for the new SOULFLY album due early 2012 on ROADRUNNER RECORDS. Travis recorded his portion of the vocals at Frick'in Studios in San Marcos, CA with engineer Dan Frick and the result was extremely positive.

Travis Ryan adds, "It's an honor to receive a call from someone you had pictures of on your wall as a kid asking you to be on a new album of theirs. I literally had a picture of Max and Gloria holding Richie in her arms that I ripped out of a copy of Metal Maniacs on my wall when I was 15 or 16. Now they're asking for my artistic hand in one of their creations, just doesn't get much more surreal than that. Very honored and the song is very "death metal-ish" and completely crushes. Happy to be a part of it!"

The producer of Soulfly's new album, ZEUSS (Hatebreed, Shadows Fall, The Red Chord) responded to the delivery of Travis' tracks saying "The vocals fucking rule!!!! Fits the song perfect… Very refreshing for me to hear these days."

CATTLE DECAPITATION recently announced the status of their new album writing process and will be entering Flatline Audio Studios in Denver, CO in January to record. Fans can expect an early Spring 2012 release date on METAL BLADE RECORDS. More information is available on their Facebook page: www.facebook.com/cattledecapitation.

Cattle Decapitation new album writing update announcement; video teaser available
Agoura Hills, CA - November 7th, 2011 - In November 2010, Cattle Decapitation returned home from headlining The California Blood Tour and decided to take the next year off and immediately began writing the follow up to their critically-acclaimed 2009 release The Harvest Floor.

The band has been holed up in the confines of their rehearsal studio in National City, California ever since and are preparing to unleash a new slab of human-dissecting carnage for a Spring 2012 release via Metal Blade Records. The band will be recording in January/February in Denver, Colorado at FLATLINE AUDIO with producer/engineer DAVE OTERO (Cephalic Carnage, Catheter, Trivium) and will play a small handful of shows on the way out to Denver showcasing their new material.

Artist WES BENSCOTER is again on board to deliver more breathtaking GOREgeousness to the album cover as he has done on our past 4 releases. We will be announcing the album title, cover image and concept in the next few months.

Here’s what guitarist Josh Elmore has to say about the new material:
"As it comes down to the home stretch before recording, we have been focusing on getting the last two songs written as well as refining and tightening the tracks which are already completed. The overwhelming impression I get from this new batch of tunes is that they have benefitted greatly from a more streamlined approach to composition and song structure. A lot of these songs are very "to-the-point" with just enough embellishment to keep them dynamic, whilst avoiding sinking into some bells-and-whistles mire. Lean and mean.

There will be no forays in 8-string djentiness and none of us bought v-neck shirts or deck shoes to "modernize" our sound and look, respectively. Expect some riffy, ripping blackened deathgrind with nods to our past work and tastes of what's to come. These songs are going to be a blast to play live and we are anxious to have these recorded and get on the road to play them for you."

The band’s friend who simply goes by the tag "T-R3X" has provided a quick teaser video available below showing the band hard at work on new material! That video is available now on Cattle Decapitation's official youtube channel HERE.

The band will be playing a ton of new material as well as some old gems at the following shows on their way out to the recording destination:
1/4/2012 – PHOENIX, AZ @ The Clubhouse
1/5/2012 – ALBUQUERQUE, NM @ The Launchpad
1/6/2012 – DENVER, CO @ The Marquis Theater

MMA Superstar Josh Barnett Announces Japanese Benefit Show; All Shall Perish Headlining
It's common knowledge that actions speak louder than words and MMA superstar Josh Barnett is truly a man of action as he has spearheaded a relief fund to help the victims of the recent travesty that hit Japan. Barnett is very open about his love of heavy metal and he knew it made perfect sense to put together a show that featured some of the metal's best acts to raise some money for this very worthy cause.

This special event featuring All Shall Perish, Animals As Leaders, Cattle Decapitation, Abysmal Dawn, Internal Corrosion and Thrown Into Exile is set to take place at the House of Blues in Hollywood on Thursday, May 26th and all net proceeds go directly to the American Red Cross Japanese relief effort. Tickets are only $15 and are on-sale now at www.hob.com or at www.ticketmaster.com

Barnett states: "As someone that has worked in Japan over the last nine years and even lived there for a time I felt an obligation to try and help a country which has shown so much love and hospitality to me over the years. This event dealt a devastating blow to the 'Land of The Rising Sun,' not only economically but to the hearts, minds and souls of its people. I don't think that my event can in any way reverse what has happened or completely restore a country and its people, but music has the power to move the heart and soul. That kind energy can reach masses and be transferred to others and if even one person can be helped, it was worth it. In any form that we can generate funds, support and just simply the bushido spirit to all those affected by this we will be successful and keep the sun forever rising in Japan."

"I am incredibly lucky and thankful for all the bands, companies and people that have helped me organize such an awesome show and I not only look forward to seeing everyone there but to sit back and be a fan myself. I'll be the big blonde guy headbanging, horns in the air."

Ben Orum (guitarist of All Shall Perish) further comments: "We would like to personally thank Josh Barnett for inviting us to play this very special Japanese relief benefit show. What happened over there was a travesty and while it's easy to not think about the events that took place because we are so far away, we hope to remind people how much help is still needed."

"We will be performing some new material off of our upcoming CD, This is Where it Ends, so come out and check it out! Check out the link below for a sneak peak to some of our new material." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UKYTmbzrQw

CATTLE DECAPITATION launches disgusting new merch line for "California Blood Tour"
California Blood Tour kicks off in two weeks!

California's propagators of gore have just finished a new line of twisted merch designs for the California Blood Tour this Fall. The designs will be available EXCLUSIVELY at the band's merch booth throughout the tour and won't be available for purchase anywhere else until after the tour.

Here are some of the designs the band will have in stock…

"WE RUIN EVERYTHING" T-shirt:
This time we have another amazing design by Mike Hrubovcak of VISUAL DARKNESS based on the horrendous BP oil spill of the Gulf Coast with a bit of a Dio's "Holy Diver" album cover twist to it. The back says it all… "We Ruin Everything" as taken from a lyric from the song "The Gardeners of Eden" and designed by Lou Rusconi. The back print is the kicker... printed with opalescent foil to look as if the letters are actually made of oil swirling around in blackened waters, exactly as it would appear in real life. Please visit: www.visualdarkness.com & www.myspace.com/lourusconi.

"INHUMAN CENTIPEDE: SHIT SEQUENCE" T-shirt:
"I hate human beings"
- Dr. Heiter

You've seen the movie. You know the deal. We present to you… the "INHUMAN CENTIPEDE: SHIT SEQUENCE" T-shirt in all its 100% medically in-accurate glory! Printed on white shirts to keep with the dry erase board look, this marks the first ever white shirt that the band has ever printed! The design starts on the front with the marker outlines of an assortment of animals including a cow, a goat, a bear, a baby elephant, a seal and a goddamned hippo among many others (complete with the outlines of the connected gastric systems) and ends with a helpless and rather bummed human being expelling the waste he's collected internally from said animals. Just as Dr. Heiter would have done it… IF he was as sick as us! This is a rather unconventional print as it starts out on the front, connects on the side and finishes on the back! Sure to be a Cattle Decapitation classic and collectable. Designed by Travis Ryan with layout assistance by Kevin Wight.

"WAFFLE HOUSE" T-shirt:
That's right, back by popular demand is the re-worked and re-vamped design by vocalist Travis Ryan which made waves with late-night partiers and even a whole crew of actual Waffle House workers (they bought out 10% of the pressing!) back in the day when we first printed it. Printed only in limited quantities, we sold out of this design very quickly and never was printed again. This time, we made it bigger and better and extended the back to be a little more current with the famous eatery's menu…

"SHITFACED" T-shirt:
Here's one that will really make mom finally give up on you. Be prepared for the words "Seriously?" and "Really? I mean… REEEEEALY?" to come out of her mouth. Hopefully the sight of this monstrosity won't make her combust with a "brand new breed of feces-bleeding disease" as seen with the poor fool on this shirt who has various forms of fecal matter spewing forth from the hundreds of anuses that have engulfed his face. Another hideous idea by vocalist Travis Ryan turned into reality by the incredibly graphically multi-talented Michael Windsor who has previously worked with bands such as Pig Destroyer, The Red Chord and The Black Dahlia Murder. Please visit: www.michaeljwindsordesign.com.

These are just a handful of the designs that Cattle Decapitation will have on this tour. Head over to their myspace page or www.cattledecapitation.com to see the rest! Hoodies, girly Ts, long sleeve Ts and more!

CATTLE DECAPITATION, in conjunction with IndieMerchCo, is pleased to announce the CALIFORNIA BLOOD TOUR!!!
Cattle Decapitation to hit the road with Devourment, Knights of the Abyss, Burning the Masses, and Sons of Aurelius starting late September in support of their current album 'The Harvest Floor'

CATTLE DECAPITATION is pleased to announce they will be back out on the road in the US on a headline run dubbed the CALIFORNIA BLOOD TOUR as it features bands mostly hailing from CA. Joining the mighty grind metalers CATTLE DECAPITATION is DEVOURMENT (TX) plus searing acts such as KNIGHTS OF THE ABYSS, fellow San Diegans BURNING THE MASSES and newcomers SON OF AURELIUS. Select dates also feature Sacramento's SLAUGHTERBOX and San Diego's own purveyors of brutality, CONDEMNED. This will be CATTLE DECAPITATION's final US tour for The Harvest Floor record, as the band will commence the writing of their 5th Metal Blade release at the end of the year.

CATTLE DECAPITATION vocalist Travis Ryan had this to say about the tour:
"We've had this idea for a tour that was mostly comprised of California bands for quite a while now. I don't know, there was just something about the term 'California love' (popularized by Tupac Shakur) that never quite sat right with us so we came up with something a little more fitting, considering the level of brutality that California has always had under its belt. From the seedy sewers in the big cities to the 'Cowshwitz' communities of central CA to the inhospitable depravity of the dry desert, we decided it was time to show the rest of the US that CaliGOREnia is not just about hippies, silicone bodies and marijuana dispensaries (not that there's anything wrong with that, haha!)"

THE CALIFORNIA BLOOD TOUR Dates:

Check out what critics have been saying about CATTLE DECAPITATION's most current release The Harvest Floor, which debuted at #16 on Billboard's Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) Chart, below:

"This record is one of - if not THE - proudest piece of work in my career. For such a complex album, things came together nearly perfectly." - producer Billy Anderson (Melvins, Mr. Bungle, Neurosis, High on Fire, Eyehategod)

"Lyrically and musically, The Harvest Floor is an impressive work of art - there's a sophistication to every aspect of this album that wasn't present on earlier efforts." Alternative Press Magazine

"Travis Ryan stretches his throat to its widest range yet - It's a requiem in the slaughterhouse. Guts swamp the floor, and Cattle Decapitation are bursting at the seams." Decibel Magazine

"their music technical enough to cream the pants of those so inclined but steering clear of the monotony trap too many bands are falling into recently - one brutal and affecting package." 9/10, Outburn Magazine

"new drummer David McGraw takes Cattle Decapitation to a whole new level of extreme speed and brutality - Cattle Decapitation's The Harvest Floor is an apocalyptic multimedia epic that should not be missed!" Fangoria.com

"The Harvest Floor cut through my skull like some hate-fueled bone saw, and I sat back in my chair barely able to utter the words "Holy Fuck" in response to its focused ferocity, I heard a band that is in the midst of making that evolutionary leap from good to great… More than simply pushing forward the wall of extreme metal, this is an album that challenges music itself, as well as the shallow way in which humanity views its place in the universe." Blabbermouth.net

"one of the most underrated and best grind acts out there." Hails and Horns Magazine

"Cattle Decapitation have the sort of skills that put them squarely at the head of grind's noisy pack." MetalSucks.net

"San Diego's finest death metal band - The Harvest Floor is the band's most brutally intense work to date." Thrasher Magazine

"The Harvest Floor, the band's fourth full-length for Metal Blade, drags the listener through a sonic slaughterhouse so vile and uncompromising you may opt to shower after listening to it." Las Vegas City Life

"The sonic results put Cattle Decap at the very forefront of technical grind, with kick-drum blasts so rapid-fire that they sound like experimental military hardware, and with guitars by Josh Elmore so violently spastic that they might as well be construction jackhammers. Indeed, the maelstrom of it all caused Ryan to pull out all the stops, lyrics-wise." Tucson Weekly

"Josh Elmore flexes his veteran chops throughout The Harvest Floor. He shreds like no one's business but more importantly, his command of riffing and rhythm in general is superb. The way he chops up the main refrains on 'Into the Public Bath' will leave listeners breathless. Elmore is the ideal match for McGraw's thunderous drumming because his picking hand seems to know no boundaries." ultimate-guitar.com

"this band have never sounded so confident and secure in who they are. They've risen from the crust/grind underbelly and with The Harvest Floor, Cattle Decapitation are set to do battle with the greats of death metal." Exclaim!

"The Harvest Floor is evidence of a finely-tuned death metal machine getting its footing and leaving its mark on a genre it helped shape." Metal-Rules.com

"Guitarist Josh Elmore sounds like a small army of players rather than just one man, as his guitar work goes well beyond the traditional chugging riffs that can bog down lesser death metal acts." JerseyBeat.com

"one of the best death metal/grindcore albums of the year." BringOnMixedReviews.com

"It's a grinding, brutal-as-can-be level of extreme metal, not heard since goregrind legends Carcass first arrived." Live-Metal.net

"extreme metal at its most complex and brutal." All Music Guide

"a band that continues to push the boundaries in more ways than one." SeaofTranquility.org

"super-intelligent and ultra-lethal grindcore - a sonic slaughterhouse so vile and uncompromising you may opt to shower after listening to it." East Bay Express

Cattle Decapitation announce upcoming tour with Soulfly, Prong; departure of bassist Troy Oftedal
An update from Cattle Decapitation front man, Travis Ryan: “It is time to announce a few things that have been going on in the Cattle Decapitation camp. First off, we have officially parted ways with bassist Troy Oftedal due to musical and personal differences. There is no bad blood and we wish him the best of luck. Filling in on upcoming tours will be our friend Rahsaan Davis. You may have seen him on our recent tour as Troy left tour early due to a physical ailment.”

Cattle Decapitation has been keeping busy throughout 2009 supporting what has been unanimously declared by press and fans as their best record, The Harvest Floor. This fall will be no exception. San Diego’s finest death/grind torch bearers have just confirmed an October tour with legendary metal acts, Soulfly and Prong.

Travis Ryan comments, “We’ll be hitting the road in late September with Soulfly, Prong and Mutiny Within for a US tour! Starting in our neck of the woods, the tour will lead us across the country, along the east coast and back home. We have a handful of dates already and there are more on the way! We here at Cattle Decapitation are all about diversity. So when we were asked to do the Soulfly/Prong tour we said "why not!?" I for one am very excited to see Prong. I've never seen them live and when I was in 7th and 8th grade they were one of my favorite bands! True, a very interesting lineup, but that's awesome as our last couple albums have proved we definitely like to switch things up to keep things interesting.”

Keep your eyes peeled for the second video from the album. The band has completed filming for A Body Farm. Fans can check out their previous video for Regret And The Grave HERE.

“This record is one of - if not THE - proudest piece of work in my career. For such a complex album, things came together nearly perfectly.” producer Billy Anderson (Melvins, Mr. Bungle, Neurosis, High on Fire, Eyehategod)

“…their music technical enough to cream the pants of those so inclined but steering clear of the monotony trap too many bands are falling into recently.” 9/10, Outburn Magazine

“This isn’t just some angry metal band, these are musicians and artists out to create something genuine or die trying.” CraveOnline.com

“More than simply pushing forward the wall of extreme metal, this is an album that challenges music itself, as well as the shallow way in which humanity views its place in the universe.” Blabbermouth.net

Jarboe posts myspace blog about Cattle Decapitation’s show in Atlanta
Jarboe, the infinitely talented singer, songwriter, composer, etc. of Swans fame, has posted a blog on her myspace about seeing Cattle Decapitation live in Atlanta on February 6th.

“Last night, I went to the Atlanta show of Cattle Decapitation. I have the new album, The Harvest Floor and have listened to it numerous times. I had recorded some atmospheric vocals on a track for the album because the band intrigued me and the person asking was producer/engineer Billy Anderson who had worked with Swans and for whom I have the utmost respect.

The album to me is a type of "terrifying". It is unrelenting and punishing and something about it in the overtones of the guitars and vocals and rapidly pounding drums and sounds is otherworldly frightening. To me, it is more than a sound that incorporates elements of terms like "death metal" and "grindcore." It is the nameless feeling that I get that accumulates inside the nervous system and the brain that open to allow the sensation of sheer horror frenzy * to develop.

(*extreme mental agitation; wild excitement or derangement)

I was curious if this feeling would occur watching the band live.
I can report that it most definitely did.

I usually fixate on performance aspects of a band and the overall dramatic impact they make upon me. I find that mostly I respond more to bands with a designated vocalist/front person. (Yes, there are exceptions.) The controlled severe vocal acrobatics of Travis Ryan stunned me. So much so that the moment I saw him offstage after the show, I asked him about his technique! His impressive performance also incorporated an elegantly beast-like spew alternately of water and saliva as he bent his head back and sprayed into the air. I have only seen something like it in movies of boxers in slow motion. Travis Ryan's performance was captivating to watch. It is like Olympic ice-skaters or strenuous muscular Russian ballet when the sweat blasts off the forehead, spinning.

The members of the band are spectacular musicians.

Cattle Decapitation are on tour. SEE THEM.”
