CANNIBAL CORPSE announces dates with Hatebreed on the Decimation of the Nation 2 Tour!
Los Angeles, CA – September 10, 2009 – After finishing up a very successful run on this summer’s Rockstar Mayhem Festival tour, death-metal icons CANNIBAL CORPSE are now gearing up to hit the road again as a part of this fall’s Decimation of the Nation 2 Tour featuring CANNIBAL CORPSE as main support to Hatebreed. Supporting CANNIBAL CORPSE and Hatebreed on this month and a half trek across the US and Canada will be labelmates UNEARTH and HATE ETERNAL and Sumerian Records artist Born of Osiris. The Decimation of the Nation 2 Tour kicks off on November 6th at the House of Blues in Cleveland OH and finishes up December 20th in Philadelphia, PA. On the San Francisco and Los Angeles stops of the tour, the Decimation of the Nation 2 Tour will meet up with the Trivium, Chimaira, Whitechapel, and Dirge Within tour making it an all day metal event. Make sure to check with venues to see when doors are as these two shows will be starting early due to the amount of bands performing.

"We are psyched to be on tour with such a killer line up of bands. Tours where all the bands are extreme but also have their own style are always great, and this line up definitely fits that description. We expect these shows to be some of the most intense ever…see you all in the pit!"
CANNIBAL CORPSE’s latest release and eleventh studio album Evisceration Plague (February 3, 2009) debuted at #66 in the Billboard Top 200 Chart its first week of release. This marked the third time in the band’s career that the mighty CANNIBAL CORPSE have landed on the Billboard Top 200 Charts with KILL debuting at #170 in 2006 and Vile debuting at #151 in 1994, making Evisceration Plague the highest selling debut in the bands career!

CANNIBAL CORPSE: Evisceration Plague graphic novel available exclusively through Hot Topic on this summer’s Rockstar Mayhem Festival
Los Angeles, CA – July 6, 2009 – Death-metal icons CANNIBAL CORPSE are issuing a limited-edition 96 page comic book exclusively at the Hot Topic booth on this summer’s Rockstar Mayhem Festival tour. Drawn entirely by Vince Locke, who illustrated the acclaimed graphic novel ‘A History of Violence’ and each of the band’s album covers, the Evisceration Plague comic graphically depicts a story for every song on the band’s album of the same name—arranged in order, no less. As an added bonus, each copy comes with a copy of the album.
“Vince Locke has done an incredible job turning our lyrics into blood-soaked and vicious illustrations for the Evisceration Plague comic book. He really has captured visually what we were trying convey lyrically. His artwork has brought our macabre songs to life in truly explicit fashion...fans of graphic horror will not be disappointed,” comments bassist and founding member Alex Webster.

On Tuesday, April 21st, the mighty Cannibal Corpse received their Centuries Of Torment platinum plaques in Montreal, QC, Canada. Centuries of Torment was certified platinum in Canada earlier this year just before the crushing release of Evisceration Plague.
Bassist Alex Webster comments on the end of the Canadian dates as they come to a wrap: “Our recent Canadian tour was a total success, every show was packed and the crowds were full of energy. We really received a great response, which is something we've come to expect from our Canadian fans. Extreme metal magazine BURRN! brings you Extreme the Dojo Vol.22 featuring CANNIBAL CORPSE, The Faceless, and Misery Index hitting Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya starting June 8th 2009.

In other news, Hammer Smashed Face has been voted the best death metal song of all time! More than 15,000 votes by the readers of Metal Hammer Germany were counted and Cannibal Corpse landed the #1 spot with a whopping 25% of the votes.
Amon Amarth and Behemoth also made the top 10 with Pursuit of the Vikings (Fate of Norns, 2004) and Christians to the Lions (Thelema.6, 2000), respectively.
