Anterior introduce new drummer!
Anterior have announced their new drummer is James Cook. After debuting for them in December 2009 he joins the band in the midst of writing their long awaited follow up to 2007's This Age Of Silence, which they are looking to record soon.
"Hey sexy people,
After a long time searching we have finally found a new drummer. If any of you saw us play in December the fine gentlemen behind the kit will now be joining the band full time. We would like to welcome JAMES COOK into the band and are very excited to see what he adds to the fold. He did a great job on our December tour with only a few rehearsals beforehand. He is a great guy and an exceptional musician.
On this note we are still writing for the album and cannot wait to see what James can add to the new material. We will be going into the studio in a few months time to record our second album to be released later this year on Metal Blade records.

Anterior issues recording update!
”We have had lots of people asking about what we are doing and when you guys n girls will hear something new so here’s a quick update.
We are still writing for the forthcoming album, we will be releasing updates regarding the new album’s title, track listing, etc. over the coming months and we are hoping to record in September/October time with the beastly metal producer extraordinaire, Mr. Scott Atkins.
That’s about all we can reveal right now but rest assured we are working on some cool stuff and new things which can only mean greater things for Anterior in the future.

Anterior solidify new line up
The Welsh metal band has just posted an update about what’s been going on while writing their follow up to This Age of Silence.
“As you have seen on our MySpace page, after months of searching we have finally found a drummer. Our new sticksman is Andrew Cairns, Andrew did a great job on our recent UK jaunt with All That Remains and The Haunted and has now become a full time member of Anterior. We are very pleased to have him in the fold and we feel that he is a great addition to the band. We are now a complete five piece again and cannot wait for the next appearance as a new band at Hellfire Festival in London soon!
We have added a good array of new live photos from the recent ATR/The Haunted tour on our MySpace so go check it out. Thanks to all of the photographers for the shots, great work!”
The band also comments on writing the new record:
”We are back in writing mode ready to record our new record. We will be recording the album at Grindstone Studios with the mighty Scott Atkins (Sylosis, Romeo Must Die, Madman Is Absolute) and are aiming to have the record out for late summer 2009 with some exciting and fast material to entice your ear drums.
