ANTERIOR 'Echoes Of The Fallen' album art and track listing revealed
Sonisphere 2011 warm up show on July 6, 2011
ANTERIOR are currently readying to unveil Echoes of the Fallen, the long awaited second full-length from one of the most exciting modern metal acts to come out of the U.K.
Set for release in Europe on August 26, the UK August 29 and North American on September 13 via Metal Blade Records, the 10-track long player was recorded at Grindstone Studios through 2011 with Scott Atkins producing.
Frontman Leon Kemp comments:
"That's right! The new album is finally here and we cannot wait for you guys to hear it!We've been hard at it for the past few months with producer Scott Atkins at Grindstone Studios and I must say the tracks are sounding massive. I feel we've really found our sound on this album. It's been quite a while since our last release and we've matured a lot as a band, especially with the addition of some new members. We've managed to retain all the great aspects of our first album "This Age Of Silence" and improve on them. The songs are more concise than before and we've really worked on making each song as strong as it can possibly be. We haven't settled for anything less, and at times it's been tough working to the benchmark we set ourselves, but it's brought the best out in everyone and after hearing the finished product it's definitely been worth it. We've had a phenomenal reaction to some of the new tracks we've played live and we can't wait for this album to drop, we are sure you guys are gonna love it! And if you can't wait to hear some new songs then get your asses to Sonisphere, we'll be ripping out a few new tunes for you guys!

Welsh melodic Death Metallers ANTERIOR have entered the studio to record the long-anticipated follow-up to their 2007 debut album 'This Age Of Silence'.
Comments the band: "That's right! We have entered the studio to start drum tracking for the second ANTERIOR album! We started production at Grindstone Studios with Scott Atkins (Stampin' Ground, Sylosis, Gamma Bomb, Man Must Die) at the helm.
The fact that we have finally entered the studio to record our second album is an achievement in itself! After so many problems and having multiple things stacked against us we came through it all, finished an album, got a new drummer, and now it's time to get things right!
We are currently recording our second as yet untitled album due for an early 2011 release and to say that we are as excited about it as kids are at Xmas would be a gross understatement. We feel that the songs are so much stronger and that we have matured as a band since "This Age Of Silence" and we are bursting for you to hear it!
We will be posting video updates on our official YouTube channel as the recording advances. We feel that this album will definitely show that we have our strongest line-up ever and will mark a great return for us. We plan to make 2011 the busiest time we have ever had. We expect to be touring relentlessly and hitting some new places so be afraid, be very afraid!
We would like to thank everyone who has stuck with us and been patient with us. With so many negative and generally bad things happen to us in the last few years it would have been easy to call it a day. But, we have definitely come out for the best and we thank every single one of you for your love and support. We will see you with a brand new album in a town near you soon."

Anterior introduce new drummer!
Anterior have announced their new drummer is James Cook. After debuting for them in December 2009 he joins the band in the midst of writing their long awaited follow up to 2007's This Age Of Silence, which they are looking to record soon.
"Hey sexy people,
After a long time searching we have finally found a new drummer. If any of you saw us play in December the fine gentlemen behind the kit will now be joining the band full time. We would like to welcome JAMES COOK into the band and are very excited to see what he adds to the fold. He did a great job on our December tour with only a few rehearsals beforehand. He is a great guy and an exceptional musician.
On this note we are still writing for the album and cannot wait to see what James can add to the new material. We will be going into the studio in a few months time to record our second album to be released later this year on Metal Blade records.

Anterior issues recording update!

Anterior solidify new line up
The Welsh metal band has just posted an update about what’s been going on while writing their follow up to This Age of Silence.
“As you have seen on our MySpace page, after months of searching we have finally found a drummer. Our new sticksman is Andrew Cairns, Andrew did a great job on our recent UK jaunt with All That Remains and The Haunted and has now become a full time member of Anterior. We are very pleased to have him in the fold and we feel that he is a great addition to the band. We are now a complete five piece again and cannot wait for the next appearance as a new band at Hellfire Festival in London soon!
We have added a good array of new live photos from the recent ATR/The Haunted tour on our MySpace so go check it out. Thanks to all of the photographers for the shots, great work!”
The band also comments on writing the new record:
