AMON AMARTH recaps recent US and European tours!
The last two months have been hectic, but we've had a blast. The headlining tour in Europe went over expectations and we'd like to thank WINTERSUN and TYR, as well as our European crew and of course everyone who came to the shows. Hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
After the last show in Hamburg we flew straight to Detroit to join CHILDREN OF BODOM, GOJIRA and SANCTITY on the North American leg of the tour and although it was taxing and with some off stage problems, the tour was nothing but awesome and successful for us! It was great to see the support we got every night and we want to thank you fans for that.
We've been home resting over the holidays and still have some time off from the band. Later this month it's time to start preparing for the Scandinavian leg, and on the 25th we'll start shooting the second video for the new album.

AMON AMARTH tops Music Choice chart!
Amon Amarth continues their streak of "firsts" with their latest release "With Oden on Our Side"! The band newest album reached number 1 on the Music Choice chart. Fellow label mates Unearth ranked at number 11, God Dethroned at 14 and Goatwhore at 21.
Metal Blade Records teams up with SONY PSP to host videos!
Metal Blade has recently teamed up with Sony PSP to host current Metal Blade artist videos, interviews, and live performances. This site contains free videos for fans to download to their PSP’s as well as be played in QuickTime for those without a PSP. Two new clips will be added each month to the Metal Blade Channel on Sony’s site so make sure to keep an eye on the site to see what material has been added. Currently, the site is hosting excerpts from the Amon Amarth DVD (an interview and part of the show) and clips from the Unearth DVD (interviews and live show) that came out with the Special Edition of III: In the Eyes of Fire.

METAL BLADE ARTISTS ON MUSIQUE PLUS’ D’STROY!
On Thursday October 26th check out Amon Amarth’s newest video “Runes to My Memory” on D’story on Musique Plus in Quebec. New episodes of D’story air Thursdays at 11:30pm EST with repeats on Saturdays at 2am and Sundays at 1am.

AMON AMARTH “With Oden on Our Side” hits the charts in the US and abroad!
Amon Amarth’s seventh release (sixth for Metal Blade), With Oden on Our Side, hit the Billboard charts for first week’s sales reaching #15 of the Heatseakers/New Artist Chart, #26 on the Top Independent Albums Chart, and #42 on the Billboard Hard Music Chart. Overseas, With Oden on Our Side entered the German charts at #21, Swedish Charts at #21 and the Austria charts at #27!
Amon Amarth will be embarking on a month-long European tour in support of With Oden on Our Side and will follow-up with a U.S. tour as direct support to Children of Bodom starting on the 1st of December in Detroit, MI.

Amon Amarth's "With Oden on Our Side" will soon be available to stream in it's entirety at AOL's "Full CD Listening Party" page. From Oct. 2nd to Oct. 8th you can stream the album.
