Aeternam reveals artwork, track listing for “Disciples Of The Unseen”; debut album available 2/16!
Quebec City’s Aeternam is gearing up to finally release their hotly anticipated debut album on February 16th, 2010! Disciples Of The Unseen is a 10 track foray into an atmospheric, aggressive, melodic and Egyptian-tinged death metal. The album was produced by mastermind JeF Fortin (Neuraxis, The Last Felony) and is for fans of Nile, Melechesh, Behemoth and even earlier Trivium - any metal head will definitely find something to sink their teeth into here. On top of the hook-laden guitar harmonies and solos are vocalist/guitarist Achraf Loudiy’s occasional clean vocal melodies; they provide a tasteful palate cleanser and provide an alternative for those who tire quickly from traditional death metal growls. This is particularly evident on the band’s first single, The Coronation Of Seth.

Fans can keep up with Aeternam on their myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/aeternammetal as well as twitter, youtube and facebook, all listed below.

Live footage from Aeternam’s show supporting Behemoth on June 29th of this year is currently up on their youtube page HERE. The live track is Angel Horned and has one of the best guitar solos on the album!

Metal Blade Records announces the signing of Aeternam!
Canada’s Aeternam has joined the Metal Blade roster! Formed in 2007 in Quebec City, Aeternam has been preparing to unleash their very own brand of epic death metal upon the world. Combining classic death metal songwriting with epic melodic soloing and middle-eastern influences, Aeternam has fine-tuned its craft and made it into a perfect blend of brutality and melody. Their first studio release, Disciples of the Unseen, was produced by mastermind JeF Fortin (Neuraxis, The Last Felony). The album contains 10 tracks of pure intensity, crushing riffs, pounding bass lines and brutal growls paving the way for epic solos, acoustic melodies, ambient keyboards and large vocal harmonies. Fans of Behemoth, Nile and Melechesh will most certainly find something about this band to enjoy. You can see the band lay down tracks for the album on youtube HERE.

Aeternam comments: "We are very excited and proud to see our debut album come out on Metal Blade and what could be more fitting for us to be label mates with such bands as Behemoth and Cannibal Corpse. A lot of inspiration and work went into creating Disciples of the Unseen and we cannot wait to present it to the worldwide metal scene. We'll soon be on the road to promote the album and we can't wait to bring this monster to the stage."

“This is one of those rare bands that was an absolute no brainer for us to bring on board and has everyone at Metal Blade unanimously excited about the possibilities. The sheer amount of talent and creativity inherent in this band is refreshing. We look forward to working together on this and many future albums!” Metal Blade Records

Aeternam will be supporting now label mates, Behemoth, at their June 29th show in Montreal, QC at Le Medley.

Aeternam is:
Achraf Loudiy - Vocals & Guitar
