MetalSucks co-founder Axl Rosenberg had the following to say about 3 being added to the Suckfest lineup:
"3 is one of the best progressive rock acts out there right now -- they absolutely strike the perfect balance between incredible musicianship and expert songwriting. And they are a band that NEEDS to be experienced live to be fully appreciated. They were right at the top of our wish list to play the inaugural Metal Suckfest, and we can't believe how lucky we are to actually have them on the bill!"

AOL Music Streaming New 3 Album "The Ghost You Gave To Me"
Tomorrow October 11th sees the long awaited release of the highly anticipate new album from Woodstock, New York’s 3. The album is available for pre-order and purchase at http://www.metalblade.com/3/
The Ghost You Gave to Me is currently streaming in its entirety courtesy of AOL Music at HERE. Get your first listen today before you pick up the album tomorrow.
3 has completed work on their new album, The Ghost You Gave to Me. The album was recorded at Applehead Studios (Coheed and Cambria, Morningwood, Straylight Run) in Woodstock, NY. The Ghost You Gave to Me is 3 at their most inspired.
Following the release of Revisions and after several tours with Porcupine Tree and an epic run on the first Progressive Nation Tour with Dream Theater, Opeth and Between the Buried and Me, 3 returned home brimming with inspiration. Joey Eppard, Billy Riker, Daniel Grimsland and The Gartdrumm immediately began creating demos of ideas that would evolve into The Ghost You Gave to Me. It wasn't long before the songs took on a life of their own. The band found themselves growing out of the standard rock compositional format into something more cinematic in nature. Joey Eppard adds: "The songs told us where to go and the instrumentation followed. We knew this record would be our most progressive but it would be on our terms, and in our own way. As always songwriting and melody are the driving forces behind the sounds capes we generate. I think the biggest challenge was to rise to the occasion lyrically with so many musical scene changes. What I found was that I had to let go and allow the words and melody to be as creative and original as the music, if not more so. In a progressive situation this can be time consuming and indeed the bulk of my efforts were focused on exceeding my own lyrical standards. For example, "Only Child," an eight minute epic that traverses a myriad of musical scenes has enough great lyrics for half a record.

3 Continues Work on New Album, Schedules Performances in New York state area
Guitarist/vocalist Joey Eppard offers the following update on the progress for 3's new, and sixth, studio album.
"We just wrapped up our first week at Applehead Studios. It's been a personal dream of mine to record in the room my father designed and built. It's almost like having him play on the record. The drum sounds CJB dialed in were fantastic and the Gartdrumm was in full effect. This record is going to be something very special. Our live performances are going to be rare this summer because most of our energy will be going into the making of our new record, but we do have a few very special shows coming up. June 11th will see "3" perform at the Basement's 3 year anniversary show. Later this summer we'll be debuting new material at our August 28th Bearsville performance where we'll be joined by Josh Eppard's new band: "Terrible Things." Of course I'll also be doing a few solo gigs to keep me sharp."

3 Issues An Update On Their New Album!
Woodstock, NY's 3, one of the world's most innovative rock bands, has signed a new deal with Metal Blade and is working on their new album. Previously, they have released Wake Pig (2005), The End Is Begun (2007) and Revisions (2009) on Metal Blade. 3's entire discography now spans over a decade, going all the way back to Paint By Number (1999) and Summercamp Nightmare (2003). Over the course of their career they have toured with the Scorpions, Porcupine Tree, Dream Theater, Opeth, Between the Buried and Me, and many, many more.
3's Joey Eppard offers the following update:
"We are well on our way to making our greatest 3 album yet. After looking at several horrific offers from other labels, we decided to continue with Metal Blade Records because they actually care about our music and truly believe in what we do. We were tossing around the idea of releasing it one song at a time, each with a video. Basically like episodes. Let us know what you think.
Meanwhile I'll be doing a couple solo gigs in April."

An update from 3 main man, Joey Eppard!
“Hey all, we’ve had an incredible couple of weeks. It started with the making of the video for Rabid Animals which evolved into an interactive shoot on day 1 where the fans could comment in real time and influence the direction of the video. On Day 2 we invaded Saugerties and got everyone we could to foam at the mouth for the camera. From cops to chefs to store clerks, beauticians, to the grand finale of an entire bar full of people all foaming at once, everyone went the extra mile for this video. And of course we got lots of great videos from our friends and fans as well. A Huge Thanks to you all!!!! We should have the final cut very soon but meanwhile you can check out some of the mayhem from day 1 at: www.livestream.com/3live

3 announce new album, “Revisions”
3’s follow up to 2007’s critically-acclaimed album, The End Is Begun, has been finished! Revisions will be available on October 27th and sees 3 re-examining their past, sometimes lesser known material. The band digs into their back catalogue of forward thinking and, as always, incredibly melodic songs to breathe new life into what some fans may have missed out on.
3 describes Revisions as a collection that “taps the rich history of 3 by re-examining some of the earlier songs that made us who we are today. Some of them are known from early live bootlegs, others existed only on cassette and were transferred to the internet by dedicated fans. In any event, these are songs that we felt deserved a second chance, a “revision” if you will. Our passion for music is truly the common thread that binds our diverse body of work.”
Revisons track listing:
1. Anyone Human (1998)
2. Rabid Animals (2000)
3. The Better Half Of Me (2001)
4. Automobile (1998)
5. Why (2002)
6. Lexicon Of Extremism (2006)
7. Fable (2002)
8. You’ve Been Shot (1998)
9. Halloween (2002)
10. The Emerald Undertow (1998)
11. The Game (1998)
What’s previously been said about 3:
“The disc is a rollicking trip of frenzied, yet muted guitar riffs hefty enough to satisfy the metal crowd.” Alternative Press
“Three serve up a labyrinthine, guitar-laden progressive rock without pretension or needless indulgence.” Revolver Magazine
“Meticulously crafted, brazenly risky and perfectly performed, The End is Begun is Three’s newest rock-prog mindwarp, designed specifically to confound and inspire as it traverses rock, lullabies, pop, metal and just about everywhere in between.” Decibel Magazine
“With a voice as astonishing as his ability to craft a tune, Eppard stirs the soul with inspiring and memorable vocal melodies and passages, while the rest of the band builds a complex house of cards behind him.” Outburn Magazine
