Gitarrist Josh James kann es kaum erwarten: "Going to Europe is like Christmas morning - you never know what's going to happen but you know it's going to be awesome and better than what you already have. It's refreshing to leave our own country and go to so many countries in Europe that really are dedicated to the music they love. EVERGREEN TERRACE sind gerade nach einer erfolgreichen Sommertour durch Europa nach Hause zurückgekehrt, während UNEARTH gleichzeitig in Europa mit 36 Crazyfists diverse Städte und Bühnen zerlegt haben.
Im Dezember kehren beide Bands als Teil der großartigen Persistence Tour nach Europa zurück, die in der Hardcore- und Metalszene mittlerweile eine echte Institution geworden ist. Volle Häuser garantiert! Besorgt euch eure Tickets rechtzeitig!

UNEARTH hierzu: "We said we would be announcing one last go around in North America and Europe on "The March" touring cycle and we can now announce the European portion of that tour. We will be joining the Persistence Tour this coming December for a week and a half of festival style shows in big clubs. Not all the bands are announced yet, but we can say Sick of It All, Sepultura, Blood for Blood and Evergreen Terrace will be with us on the road. You can count on a handful of other great bands to be part of this bill as this festival tour has a great history of solid line ups from start to finish. EVERGREEN TERRACE mit Ersatzdrummer Caleb James in Europa unterwegs! Tour startet am 18. Juni!
EVERGREEN TERRACE werden bei ihren kommenden Europa-Dates von Casey Jones-Drummer am Schlagzeug unterstützt.
Josh James: "Caleb James from Casey Jones is back behind the drums playing with Evergreen Terrace! A lot of you saw Caleb on stage with us on tour in the states and in Europe last summer. We're headed to Europe in a couple weeks to shred a bunch of fests and club shows, afterwards we will be on the second half of Thrash and Burn in the states. Come out and give Caleb a kiss on the lips."
Die Jungs aus Jacksonville, Florida treiben schon seit mehr als zehn Jahren in der Melodic Hardcore-Szene ihr Unwesen. Der Fünfer, dessen Musik vor allem durch das Wechselspiel zwischen den cleanen Vocals und den eingängigen Hooks von Gitarrist Craig Chaney und den brutalen Schreien von Andrew Carey Glanzpunkte setzt, hat sich nie auf andere, sondern nur auf sich selbst verlassen, wenn es darum ging, die Band voran zu bringen. Neben Andrew und Craig gehört noch Josh James (guitar/vocals) zu den ständigen Mitgliedern der Truppe.

[03/09/09] Jacksonville, Floridas EVERGREEN TERRACE haben das Tracklisting für ihr anstehendes neues Album Almost Home bekanntgegeben, welches am 25. bzw. 28. September in Europa via Metal Blade Records erscheinen wird.
"We've always had a lot of pop culture references in our song titles and this record is no exception. Before we even started writing new songs we already have a list of titles from books, movies, and comedians. Half of the song titles on this record are pulled from the lyrics. The others are pop culture references hat relate to the lyrical content." Guitarist Josh James said.

Die Albumaufnahmen fanden zweigeteilt statt, die Musik wurde in den Martell Studios eingespielt, während der Gesang in den bekannten Audio Hammer Studios (August Burns Red, Bury Your Dead, Trivium) aufgenommen wurde.
EVERGREEN TERRACE kombinieren nach wie vor melodischen Hardcore und Metal, dennoch sind EVERGREEN TERRACE mit Almost Home ein Stück zurück zu ihren Wurzeln gegangen. “I think this record will surprise the new listeners as well as have the old ones stoked. I'd say its best described as a good mixture of Burned Alive by Time and Wolfbiker", meint James dazu.

[26.08.09] "Hello everyone, hope all is well. We are currently sitting at home recovering from the sick European tour that we just did with Casey Jones. Thanks to everyone who came out, we had a blast! We have got a lot of things to report to you guys so here goes...
"1. We are getting ready to shoot a video next week for a new song called 'Sending Signals' off our upcoming record, 'Almost Home'. Scott Hansen (A Day To Remember, Alesana, Willie Nelson) will be directing the video.
"2. Kyle is out of the hospital. He starts physical therapy in 2 weeks and will be behind the drums before the end of the year. Thanks to all who have sent hope filled emails, expressed their concern or made a donation. It means a lot to Kyle and his family and has really helped him through a very hard time. Caleb from Casey Jones will continue to fill in until Kyle is ready.

Auf die Bedeutung des Albumtitels angesprochen, meint Gitarrist Joshua James: "We are a touring band, and it feels like we are forever saying we're 'almost home'. Touring is something that nothing compares to, but there's a feeling of almost being home that resonates with all of us. In a way the band has come full circle back to its original home. We started this band for fun, and it lead us to success. Writing this album has brought us back to the beginning. It has been fun, crazy, frustrating, insomniatic and even with the inevitable pressure, pretty carefree."

EVERGREEN TERRACE Schlagzeuger Kyle Mims wurde kürzlich in einen Bikeunfall verwickelt und zog sich einen Schlüsselbeinbruch zu.

Kyle war zum Zeitpunkt des Unfalls nicht krankenversichert, weshalb eine Spendenseite eingerichtet wurde, da er den gesamten Betrag nicht alleine aufbringen kann.
"On July 2nd, Kyle went back to the doctors and they told him that if he wants to continue to play drums he will have to have surgery. The surgery will cost him $10,000. They require $5,000 up front and the other $5,000 once the surgery is complete. His emergency room bills, tests, ambulance ride, etc. is estimated to be an additional $10,000. He was very close to receiving health insurance thru his work, but unfortunately this happened before it did.

Next week we head down to Audio Hammer Studios in Orlando, FL to start laying down vocals with metal mastermind, Jason Suecof. We are currently working on some US and European tour dates so keep your ears/eyes open. If you live on Earth then we might be coming near your town once this record comes, and if you don't live on Earth, then you're an alien and probably eat cats. And PETA freaks out when you eat cats. Trust me, it's ok to eat donuts but not dog nuts, that's hypocrisy."
