BRAIN DRILL posten Videoclip zu Beyond Bludgeoned vom neuen Album Quantum Catastrophe!

Das Video zu Beyond Bludgeoned wurde im Februar in San Joaquin Delta/Rio Vista, CA abgedreht und Regie führten Nikko DeLuna und Justin Potter.
Auf Quantum Catastrophe nimmt die Band ihre Anhänger erneut mit auf eine Reise, die jegliche Nervenbahnen zum Schmelzen bringt und aufzeigt, wie unglaublich technischer Death Metal heutzutage sein kann. Quantum Catastrophe führt die Musiker erneut an ihr körperliches Limit, während sie ihre wahnwitzigen und dennoch mit griffigen Hooks ausgestatteten Riffs zelebrieren. Jeder Fan darf ein noch technischeres und brutaleres Album erwarten, als es ihr Debütwerk „Apocalyptic Feasting" schon gewesen ist. Die Songstrukturen sind komplett over the top und die Riffs dennoch eingängiger als früher, was eine natürliche Entwicklung für die Band, die stetig die Grenzen des technisch Möglichen erweitern will, darstellt. Mit Quantum Catastrophe haben BRAIN DRILL dies mehr als erreicht.
Quantum Catastrophe wurde in den Castle Ultimate Studios in Oakland zusammen mit Zach Ohren, der das Engineering, Mastering und Produzieren zusammen mit der Band erledigte, eingespielt. Bassist Ivan Munguia durfte bei den Songs „Mercy To None" und „Awaiting Imminent Destruction", die er geschrieben und aufgenommen hat, auch seine Fähigkeiten an der Gitarre zur Schau stellen.
Sänger Steve Rathjen erklärt das Konzept hinter Quantum Catastrophe; "Universal decimation (black holes, galactic cosmic radiation), pandemic disease and zombie re-awakenings - mankind is entering an age of mass speculation as foreseen by numerous ancient cultures. Space to all humanity still primarily remains a mystery even in our days of immense technological advancements. We know this void is filled with infinite extremities which could occur at any instant; easily decimating all habitations. We also know our planet has fulfilled these mass extinctions time and again centuries in the past. The question which remains, are we due for another apocalyptic transition?"
Gitarrist Dylan Ruskin führt weiter aus; "The album was definitely a huge accomplishment in the chronicling of the drill. The musical dynamics and skill level of everyone in the band have improved much more than the previous album. The songs are more technical and musically diverse but are also well balanced and catchy."

BRAIN DRILL enhüllen Albumcover auf MySpace und posten neuen Song von 'Quantum Catastrophe'!
In Vorbereitung auf die Veröffentlichung ihres kürzlich vollendeten zweiten Longplayers Quantum Catastrophe, haben die in Santa Cruz, Kalifornien beheimateten technischen Death Metaller von BRAIN DRILL ihre MySpace Seite mit dem Frontcover des anstehenden neuen Albums relauncht. Das Cover wurde von Par Olofsson (www.parolofsson.se) angefertigt. Darüber hinaus haben BRAIN DRILL mit Monumental Failure einen brandneuen Song auf die Seite hochgeladen!
Bassist Ivan Munguia hierzu; "Monumental Failure has a couple of the most mosh inducing riffs on the new album Quantum Catastrophe, but it also showcases the direction we are heading in terms of songwriting. Monumental Failure was one of the first songs written for the Quantum Catastrophe so in a way, we're easing listeners into some of the more complex songs that we wrote."
Des weiteren haben BRAIN DRILL kürzlich Material für den ersten Videoclip für Quantum Catastrophe gefilmt. Der Clip wird zum Albumsong Beyond Bludgeoned entstehen und wurde mitten im Nirgendwo in der Nähe von Birds Landing nahe San Joaquin Delta/Rio Vista, CA abgedreht. Als Videoregisseur funigerte Nikko DeLuna, gedreht wurde das Ganze von Justin Potter.
Bassist Ivan Munguia liess sich zu dem Shooting folgendes Statement entlocken; "This guy that Nikko knows had a hookup that let us onto this utility company owned land. There was a dilapidated old house and some pretty cool scenery so we figured it was a good spot to shoot. We picked Beyond Bludgeoned as the first video because we feel it's one of the strongest songs on the album and showcased everyone's contributions to the album."

BRAIN DRILL haben die Arbeiten am Nachfolger ihres 2008er Tech Death Meisterwerks Apocalyptic Feasting fertiggestellt! Die Band nimmt ihre Fans auf dem kommenden Album auf eine hirnzerfetzende Reise mit, auf welcher abermals ergründet wird, wie technisch Death Metal eigentlich klingen kann. Quantum Catastrophe führt BRAIN DRILL weiter an ihre körperlichen Grenzen, während ihre bekannten und infektiös eingängigen Riffs nach wie vor herausragen.

BRAIN DRILL geben neuen Bassisten bekannt!
[11.09.08] Santa Cruz, CA’s BRAIN DRILL sind erfreut darüber, mit Ivan Munguia ihren neuen Bassisten bekanntgeben zu dürfen. Ivan spielte zuvor Bass in Bands wie Carnivorous und Odious Mortem.
"Ich bin darüber begeistert, mit solch hochkarätigen Musikern in einer Band zu sein. Schon bald werden wir die Straße entern, die Clubs in Asche legen und einige kranke, neue Songs präsentieren", kommentiert Ivan.
