LABYRINTH
Italian
Power Metal unit Labyrinth has been causing quite
a stir in Europe since their inception in 1991. Their
scriptures and excellent technical musicianship has
garnered this young band plenty of critical praise,
which landed the band a deal with Metal Blade Records.
The six piece has put together a stunning EP of progressive
tinged Power Metal; one that will wet the appetite
of fans of the of European Metal revolution currently
sweeping the world right now.
Right
off the bat this talented bunch was noticed when they
released Midnight Resistance, a demo that showed the
bands power and conviction to create some very interesting
music. Italian label Underground Symphony quickly
signed Labyrinth and released the mini album Piece
Of Time and the full length No Limits. The word went
out that Labyrinth was the real deal, as just about
every major Rock and Metal publication in Europe and
Japan raved about this talented Italian Power Metal
band.
The
release of last year's critically acclaimed "Return
To Heaven Denied" on Metal Blade was proof of
this band's potential as their musical merit continued
to grow. With the release of the "Timeless Crime"
EP, the evolutionary process continues. "Timeless
Crime" features three brand new masterpieces
of soaring epic virtuosity as well as a cover of Seattle
metal legends' Sanctuary's "Die For My Sins"
(hidden on track 4). Expect a brand new full length
in 2000.
