JOB FOR A COWBOY announce final line up for "The End of the World" December tour; presented by Modern Rebellion
Allegaeon added; direct support from Cephalic Carnage, with I Declare War and Legion completing the package

JOB FOR A COWBOY has announced that they will be embarking on a short tour of the northeastern US, with select dates in Canada. Direct support on the tour will come from Cephalic Carnage with additional supporting acts I Declare War, label mates Allegaeon, as well as Legion. The tour will begin December 6th and wraps up on December 18th.

Founding member and vocalist Jonny Davy adds: "Hey guys! We're very excited to announce our first headlining run in almost two years! This will be an incredible tour with the lineup we've put together. We have one more special guest to announce as well as a couple more tricks up our sleeve. Do not miss this tour! It's going to be a rager!"

ALLEGAEON vocalist Ezra Haynes expresses the band's enthusiasm for returning to the road: "We are beyond excited to be a part of this upcoming tour with Job for a Cowboy, Colorado's own Cephalic Carnage, I Declare War and Legion. We've been waiting a long time to join a tour package of this caliber. We're looking forward to these east coast dates and can't wait to get out there and hang with some new friends. We are extremely grateful for this long overdue opportunity. We can't wait to see you all out there!"

ALLEGAEON's latest music and videos can be viewed at metalblade.com/allegaeon.

Popular horror portal Bloody Disgusting hosted the premiere of JOB FOR A COWBOY's "Tarnished Gluttony" video. The disturbing nine-and-a-half-minute clip was directed by Michael Panduro (Saint Vitus, Cephalic Carnage), and is from the band's Demonocracy full-length, issued earlier this year through Metal Blade Records. View "Tarnished Gluttony" at THIS LOCATION. "Tarnished Gluttony" was recently awarded with the "Best Kill" award at The Three Corpse Circus film festival in Ann Arbor, MI. The video will also be screened at the San Sebastian Horror and Fantasy Film Festival in Spain on October 29th.

MetalSucks.net has been hosting an exclusive instructional guitar column, entitled The Leads Are Weak, written by JOB FOR A COWBOY's Tony Sannicandro. The popular column is an insightful, educational, and entertaining outlook on various guitar techniques. The columns can be read HERE.

"they're out to rule the tech-death scene, and if they keep making records this great, they'll succeed." Alternative Press

"The more experienced they get, the better songwriters JFAC become, as tracks like "Imperium Wolves" and "Tarnished Gluttony" attest, while charismatic vocalist Jonny Davy continues to show impressive range." Decibel Magazine

"as vicious a can of whup-ass as the new-school death-metal group has ever opened." The Onion's AV Club

ALLEGAEON releases "A Path Disclosed" video on Blank TV!
Colorado metal act, Allegaeon, recently performed at Bohemian Nights at New West Fest in Fort Collins, CO on August 11th. They stand as the first metal band to ever be asked to perform at the annual festival, a fact which was highlighted on the fest's website: bohemiannights.org. Allegaeon made the most of their day by filming a video for the song A Path Disclosed from their most recent album, Formshifter. The video, which includes behind-the-scenes, as well as plenty of live footage, can be seen on BlankTV now HERE.

Guitarist Ryan Glisan comments;"We are beyond honored to be the first metal band that has ever been asked to play New West Fest and hope that it opens the doors to have more in the future, the show was a blast and the crowd was amazing, it was a treat. Also, we shot some footage for a live style music video, which is "A Path Disclosed" from "Formshifter". Enjoy!"

Allegaeon's second full-length album, Formshifter, has significantly out-performed its predecessor and debuted at #29 on the Billboard New Artist Chart and #99 on the Top Hard Music Albums! This is a huge achievement for the band as they continue to carve out their rightful place within the metal community. Formshifter has been incredibly well received by press worldwide; the UK's Kerrang Magazine raves in a 4/5 review: "It's not just the magnificently blended barrage of monstrous riffs and insidious hooks. Nor is it solely due to the fact it sounds like the quartet are trying to bring the sky crashing down on your head. And it's not just the wealth of complex leads that will make many guitarists petulantly sulk in the corner after a single exposure. It's all of those elements – combined with great songwriting that makes the record truly special."

"Formshifter" Billboard chart positions:
#29 Billboard New Artist Chart
#88 Billboard Top Independent Albums
#99 Billboard Top Hard Music Albums

"But the members of Allegaeon are so monstrously talented—see the entwined guitar harmonics, machine-gun drumming, and even the occasional, not insufferably acoustic interlude on the group’s heavily NWOBHM-shaded second LP, Formshifter—that they dig their way out of the doldrums of mere proficiency." AVClub.com

Guitarist Ryan Glisan comments on the achievement: "We here at the Allegaeon camp are beyond excited and frankly a little humbled at the response from the metal community in support of our new album. It's rare this day in age for people to purchase "any" music and the fact that so many people have bought our album this first week is incredibly reassuring for a new band and just shows how truly amazing our fans are. So a very huge thank you to everyone who supports music and supports us, thank you."

Recently, Allegaeon launched a lyric video for Behold (God I Am) from their latest album, Formshifter. The video, which was animated by Josh Knoff, features elements from Formshifter's cover art. The cover art, which was created by Colin Marks, is the band's signature "A" symbol. Watch the video, order the album, and listen to the first single Tartessos: The Hidden Xenocryst HERE.

In January 2012, Allegaeon traveled to Southern California and entered Lambesis Studios with Daniel Castleman (As I Lay Dying, Impending Doom, Carnifex, Winds of Plague) to begin work on Formshifter. The latest album brings forward a sound that both plays off the band's previous releases mixed in with some new flavors that will be sure to enthrall old and new fans alike.

ALLEGAEON's "Twelve" premieres exclusively on MetalSucks.net
Behind-the-scenes studio video also available

Popular metal destination, metalsucks.net, has teamed up with Allegaeon to debut Twelve, from the new album, Formshifter. The track, complete with an ambitious, classical, Greg Burgess-played, acoustic outro, can be heard in its entirety now HERE.

Guitarist Greg Burgess had this to say about the new album, "With "Formshifter", I think we kept the sound a lot of our fans love about us, but achieved them through certain compositional challenges. Be it style, or genre mixing, I believe that we seamlessly applied certain elements we didn't have on Fragments, and it added a color and dimension we didn't have before". Guitarist Ryan Glisan adds, "This album to me indicates the future of the band but nods to our past as well. It, to me, is more of where I have envisioned our band being since I started the band a couple years back, it relies on similar songwriting structures and musicality but adds more groove and memorable riffing than our previous efforts."

Lyrics, an oft over-looked facet of death metal is one the more interesting aspects of Allegaeon. The band crafts their prose with a bit of a different mindset - often touching on space, civilization and philosophy. Vocalist Ezra Haynes elaborates on the band's first single from the album; "'Tartessos: The Hidden Xenocryst' is definitely one that sticks out to me. I was raised on Edgar Cayce readings and tales of Atlantis. When Greg [Burgess] and I knew we wanted to touch base on an ancient civilization, Atlantis was the logical choice."

Formshifter t-shirt/CD pre-order bundles, a stream and download of Tartessos: The Hidden Xenocryst, as well as the behind-the-scenes studio video can both be seen now at metalblade.com/allegaeon.

ALLEGAEON debut new video for "Biomech" on BloodyDisgusting.com!
Fragments of Form and Function available now!

Allegaeon is proud to announce they are releasing their brand new video for the song Biomech from their album Fragments of Form and Function on the massive horror destination BloodyDisgusting.com! The video can be seen now HERE. While you're there, enter to win a killer prize package, including: an ammo box, "Fragments" t-shirt, Fragments of Form and Function CD, Allegaeon EP CD, 12" decal and a signed poster.

Photos from the behind the scenes of the video shoot, as well as the meaning and story for the lyrics behind Biomech, as described by vocalist Ezra Haynes, can be seen now along with the video on BloodyDisgusting.com!

Fragments of Form and Function was released in July of 2010 and has been praised by critics ever since. Allegaeon is currently planning tour dates for the Summer and Fall of 2011, so keep checking back for updates.

"Allegaeon seem to have mastered the art of holding back from too many indulgent displays of fret-melting wizardry, preferring to use their self-evident technical prowess sparingly and enhancing its impact as a result. When everything gels, Allegaeon sound like real contenders." Metal Hammer Magazine

"Their style and talent are producing some of the more technically appealing melodic death metal coming out of anywhere in the U.S." Hails & Horns Magazine

"Fragments of Form and Function has it all: memorable songs, brutal delivery, stone cold groove, and accomplished playing. It is a good bet that the critics will dub Fragments of Form and Function one of the best modern metal albums of the year." 9/10, Outburn Magazine

"This is, without a doubt, one of the best debut albums ever made. The first full-length effort from Allegaeon is a fluid blend of technical and melodic death metal that most first attempts can’t even touch. Even greater things seem inevitable from this band." idsnews.com

"Allegaeon deserves your immediate attention." PopMatters.com

"The vocals are comparable to Randy Blythe from Lamb of God, as well as some of the instrumental aspects. There are Dream Theater sections of solo after mind-blowing solo, and some parts reminiscent of Killswitch Engage. There is something about life, philosophy, and this world that can be learned just by listening, and that is not something we come by frequently." Blistering.com

"Normally I think fret-jumping riffs and sweeps are something that should be dialed back, but when the band have material like these to sink their teeth into, listening to them gnaw it down to the bone is often thrilling." MetalSucks.net
